Hellooo!
I have a book for you guys to reccommend, well actually that my IRL friend (who is not on the blog) wishes that people would read it more often. Shes sad bc no one she knows reads it! :< but like, although its not my type of book, its a good one, its based off true stories and is perfect for all ages!
Its called Little House on the Prairie, I believe! <3 I don't read it bc its not my type of book, but maybe you guys should give it a go! 🙂
I’ve read it and I quite liked it! It’s slow, and doesn’t have a lot of plot, but it’s so cool getting to see a slice of life from so far in the past.
Ooh, nice, glad to find someone who read it! <33
I’ve read the whole series! it was really good and the story is super nostalgic bc i read it with my family when i was younger 🙂
I’ve read it!
Tell your friend that it’s an enormously popular series, over 60 million copies sold. It was also made into a TV series back in the 1970s.
I’ve read all the books! Plus watched a bit of the show as well. They were some of my favorites back in the day!
It sounds great!! 😀 I have a lot of books to read this year, but I hope more people read it!
I’ve read it!
mostly because it was the most interesting school-approved one that I could take to the field tripI really liked it, as far as I remember, and though I had a few problems with it, I’d still recommend it to anyone who likes that type of storyI read that whole series when I was little and I still have them all sitting on my shelf, they’re probably due for a reread sometime
My mother absolutely loves those books. I think they’re sitting on my shelf right now because she gave them to me. Haven’t gotten around to reading them, unfortunately
Bruh I have an book in that collection-
Also like WhiteWhisker said, it’s actually an really popular series, it’s just everybody thinks it’s ‘geeky’ I guess
(At least the main character in The Princess Diaries does lol)
GUYS!!!
If you like reading Warrior Cats, then you’ll probably love reading Guardians of Ga’hoole, a book series about owls! I would reccommend it for 10+, maybe even 13+, because there are a few gruesome scenes the furthur you go into the series. Luckily there are no pictures of the gruesome scenes tho, its just described in words.
Like I remember a REALLY gruesome scene, and although it was kinda quick, if you’re sensitive to that stuff or underage then don’t read it!
(I’m 12 and I personally find it interesting, but still, people react differently, so beware!)
Other than that please read it (NOT forcing)! I need more Guardian of Ga’Hoole fans to talk to lol.
Also, PLEASE lemme know if you’ve read most of it, or some of it! I’ve read most of it, but I rarely go to libraries now so it is harder to get the books 🙁
But yeah, please tell me if you’ve read it because I’d LOVE to discuss it with you! And if you’re like still on book 1, I won’t spoil it <3
(Edit: Page flippo?!)
That sounds like a cool book!
Thanks! <3
I read the first book, it was SO good! I’ve been trying to find the rest of the series but it’s always checked out at the library. How many books are there?
Glad you are enjoying it! I think there’s about 12..? I’m not so sure, but around that!
Who’s your favorite character so far?
There is 15 books. Not counting the field guide and a book about ezylryb
I’ve read the first three!! 😀
(I love how you still haven’t gotten rid of your Christmas display :P)
*me looking back on this comment 2 seconds later and worrying it’s too irrelevant*
Ohhh I read it a few years back!! I really enjoyed it, I should probably re-read it haha
I’ve read the first 13 books out of 15. I have also read the book about ezylryb(rise of a legend)Very good book series.
There is 15 books. I have read 13 out of 15. There is a book about ezylryb( rise of a legend) and a field guide
I’ve read at least some of it! I can’t remember if I got all the way through though
It sounds awesome! I’ve heard that name before, but never knew what it was about until now! So it’s like Warriors but with owls?
I liked those when I was in middle school, but I LOVED Wolves of the Beyond, which was in the same world, have you read that?
Finished my first book of the year! A reread of Shatter Me! No spoilers because im not past the second book yet. (AP classes take away book time ;-;) what does everyone else think of it? I’ve heard exactly two opinions and its either love it or hate it. I’m more in the middle
I’ve been meaning to read that book for so long! Is it worth it? I’ve seen mixed opinions
I mean the first one is better than the second in my opinion. if youre a dystopian fiction lover who wants a new series to read I would definitely suggest it
havent read it! whats it about?
ooh I’ve read shatter me!! I thought the writing was good, specifically to do with the characters (esp after reading some of the books from other characters’ perspectives) but the plot itself wasn’t my favourite. there was a bit too much kissing for me 😛 /hj
I tried to read it once, but I couldn’t really get to it for some reason.
What’s it about?
Cool!!! I’ve heard a lot about it and would love to read it at some point 😀 What’s your opinion on Juliette?
I haven’t read it, but my friend has, and she was very indignant about some of Juliette’s choices :PP She told me the romance is too much for my limits, so probably not gonna read it
Juliettes choices are questionable as heck, like seriously girl what the frick are you doing. but other than that, shes pretty okay ig lol
I finally got it from the library but haven’t actually read it yet
My friend loves it, but she has specific taste. From what she’s told me, it sounds alright, though not my thing
I just finished Rule of Wolves, that book was INSANE! Has anyone else read it?
if you mean the grishaverse one, then yes!! the king of scars duology was def my least favourite out of all of them, but I still enjoyed it! it was indeed insane 😛
Are you talking about the one by Leigh Bardugo?? If so, then yes!!!!! 😀 😀
I haven’t but even the name is intense :O /pos
I’m reading King of Scars for the first time at the moment, but I’ll get to Rule of Wolves soon! I really enjoy the series so far.
I coincidentally started King of Scars today 😛
😛
Just the title sounds so cool! Never heard of it, tho
TWISTEDSTALK I VIEW YOUR ART ON CREATORCLAN!!!
You actually inspired me to try to become a CreatorClan member and I did become one in July!
OH WOW! HELLO!!!!!! THAT’S SO COOL!
Of course, I’ve read everything from the Grishaverse. What did you think? Favorite character(s)?
Has anybody read Anne of Green Gables, or the sequels?
Yess! I read all of the books ages ago, but i loved them so muchhh <3
Which book and which character was your fav?
I remember loving Marilla and Anne <3 and my favorite book was the first one I think! Hbu?
Anne is the best but her kids are amazing as well
I have! They’re really good (as is just about everything by L. M. Montgomery 😛 )
What is your fav L.M. Montgomery book?
It’s hard to pick but I’d have to go with either Rilla of Ingleside or Emily Climbs. Wbu?
Emily Climbs was SUCH an incredible book, favourite in the series so far. Emily is honestly the most well-written protagonist of Montgomery’s, so deep and complex. I was reading Emily’s Quest, but I stopped at one point a little less than halfway because I was dreading what will happen, does it get better?
Yes, it does! I considered stopping reading about half way probably for the same reasons you did, but I eventually finished it and it does have a good ending!
I haven’t read Emily Climbs but will soon, thanks for the recommendation. I hated Rilla of Ingleside when I first read it but now I love it however my favorite must be Rainbow Valley, it really engaged me 🙂
No but it sounds great, and from what I’ve seen of the tv show Anne it seems pretty cool!
It is 😀
Yeah, I think I’ve read almost all of L.M. Montgomery’s books, it’s been a really long time though
Which one did you like most?
My favorite at the time was Pat of Silver Bush, but I also liked the Emily of New Moon trilogy and the Story Girl books
Has anyone read Kira Kira? It’s such a good book!
No, but thanks for the recommendation
no, but i just googled it and it looks like a really interesting book!
I haven’t!! What’s it about?
It’s about a Japanese girl who moves to the US, and basically the book is talking about her life. It’s very interesting, I totally recommend it!
Has anyone else here heard of Lockwood and Co? My friend just convinced me to read the series and now we’re both obsessed 😛
I have heard of it from my friends who are also obsessed with it but I haven’t read it 😛
I’ve read it! It’s very fun, I enjoyed them quite a bit.
I’ve watched the netflix series and loved it! I’ve got the first book but I haven’t got round to reading it yet 😀
I read the first one! I remember liking it, and I actually wanted to read it again, but it’s been a long time so I forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!
ANY OTHER HUGE FANS OF THE HUNGER GAMES? BECAUSE I SURE AMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
YEAHHHHHHHHHH HI FELLOW FAN 😀
HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!! :3333
OH MY GOSH YES—
I LITERALLY MEMORIZED ALL THE LYRICS TO “THE HANGING TREE”—
Are you, are you, coming to the tree 😀
Where they strung up the man who they say murdered three :DDD
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met at midnight in the hanging tree
I have read it before, yes! who’s your favourite character? :DD
Oh gosh I have a lot of favorite characters, but I liked Rue, but I also like Lucy Gray (Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes)
ooh cool!!
YESSSSSS OMG!!! Me and my other two bff’s read the trilogy this past semester it was SO GOOD!!
YESSSSS IVE WATCHED ALL THE MOVIES AND READ ALL THE BOOKS
Yes, I have read all the books and watched all the movies. I watched the earlier movies again after ABoSBaS came out.
I’ve only watched the movie 😀
Who on the blog hasn’t read Hunger Games? 😛
I’m not an huge huge fan, but they’re good, save the more gruesome stuff. The last book made me so sadddd
I haven’t 😳
You definitely, definitely should!! It took me ages of my friend asking me to before I finally read it and I could NOT put them down 😛 (except for Mockingjay, I found it a bit dull I guess, but the others were good 😛)
Good to know!! I absolutely will check them out, I’ve finished all the other books I’ve been reading lately so it’s the perfect time! 😛
It’s destiny! /j Let me know what you think of them! 😛
Will do! 😛
I haven’t either, you’re not alone lol
Same 😛
ME!
Hey, has anyone here read Foxcraft by Inbali Iserles? I started reading it a couple of years ago but then kind of lost interest halfway through. If you have a longer attention span than me I would sorta recommend it haha, if I remember correctly it kicks off with a pretty gruesome scene…
I read it and loved it! Who’s your favorite character?
Uhm at first I liked the main character’s brother but then I searched up the ending and
**SPOILERS**
**SEVERE SPOILERS**
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
It turned out the main character’s brother was working with the bad guy the entire time so 😅
It wasn’t really by choice though was it iirc?
I tried listening to it but I really hate audiobooks and I can’t find e-books or real books 🙁
But from what I’ve read I really like Isla!
I haven’t read it but it sounds pretty good!
I have read it! I used to own the full series but I’m not sure where the first book went 😛
Ooh yes I remember in fifth grade I read the entire series 😀 I remember it was almost the last day of school and I was trying to read the book quickly because it was from the classroom and I couldn’t keep it after school ended
It was really good, I also recommend (and you should finish it sometime)
I SURE HAVE!
so I just read this book and I’m on the second of this trilogy and its so good! the first book is Matched by Allie Condie. It’s a Dystopian romance novel. It’s like if The Hunger Games had the romance of My Life With The Walter Boys. Maybe not the same romance but its really good. It’s also like the Giver by Lois Lowry. Me personally I didn’t like the Giver but Matched is like if the Giver was better. Lol so what I’m trying to say is that if you like Hunger Games or The Giver, Matched is for you. (also if you have read this trilogy then please I need to talk about it to someone!! but no spoilers cause I’m half way through the second book)
I liked Matched, it was okay, but not the best dystopia I’ve read. If you’ve met Indie by now, she’s my favorite
yeah. I agree I have read better dystopians. Indie is awesome! I love her to 😀
It sounds amazing!! :OO
it is!! 😀
I didn’t like it that much when I read it (I couldn’t make it through the third book 😛 ) but I did enjoy the Giver!
yeah. the giver was pretty good but sometimes I had trouble following what was going on
I can understand that 😛 we read it for my LA class, and I thought it was an interesting read for school!
What books have y’all read so far in 2025? What’s next on the to-read list?
So far I’ve read The Sequel by Jean Hanff Korelitz and Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune. Unfortunately, both were mediocre at best 😛 I’m also currently reading Sunlit Man by Brandon Sanderson, and thus far it’s been pretty good.
KOTLC Unraveled (which was quite good, she can write Keefe’s headspace super well), and I’m currently reading Rapunzel Untangled by Cindy C. Bennett, The Almost Nearly Perfect People by Michael Booth (content warning for language, mentions of war, and unsavory adult-ish things), and a book of Emily Dickinson’s poetry. The poetry has been fantastic, I’m learning sommmmmme interesting things in Booth’s book but I wouldn’t say I like it or think it’s all that fair, and Rapunzel Untangled I’d rate a 6 or 7 out of 10!
Oooh I got Unraveled for Christmas but haven’t read it yet, glad to hear it’s good!
I just read The Great Gatsby since my dad insisted I read it, and the book was much shorter than I expected. I finished it in about a day or so.
Did you like it? I had to read it for school awhile back and thought it was a fairly enjoyable read, as far as things like that go.
I need to read that for literature but haven’t started, how was it?
I’ve read The Vegetarian, The Worst Perfect Moment, The Cruel Prince, Avicii’s Biography, Every Heart a Doorway and King of Scars, so far!
Right now I’m reading The Poppy War and The Fault In Our Stars.
Oooh I love the Poppy War, are you enjoying it thus far?
Yes, I am! I’m on page 326. 🙂 So far it’s really good!
Now I’ve finished! It has made it’s way up on my top 10 favourites list!
I finished rereading Neverseen (KOTLC), and am currently in the middle of reading The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka and Wool by Hugh Howey! :DD
I’ve read The Housemaid, The Housemaid is Watching, and the Housemaid’s Secret!! I’m now reading Crooked Kingdom and I need to get out more books on my 2025 TBR list soon from the library.
No way, I’m reading Crooked Kingdom too :0 I started today and I’m about halfway through, it’s ridiculously good but half the time I’m like “wait, why are they doing that? When did they plan that? What even are the planning?” I think it’s half a stylistic choice and half me not paying attention 😛
I love how we’re both reading the same book at the same time. Mentor-apprentice telepathy 😛 I’ll have to push through, if you think it’s really good! And yeah, that’s very true ^^ 😛
Umm… lemme think…
– Games Untold
-Powerless
-ASC : Wind
-ASC : Star
-Once Upon A Broken Heart
-Balled of Never After
-A Curse for True Love
-The Wicked Queen
-The Queen of Nothing
-Septimus Heap : Magyk
– ^^ Flyte
– Alex Rider books 3-10 (I am not writing out all of them :|)
– probably a few more but I can’t remember 😛
Powerless made my bestie cry 🙁 it’s such an amazing book though!
so far, i’ve finished 2 books (flashback and legacy) in my kotlc reread, i’ve finished the notorious benedict arnold, put brave new world on hold because i have too many books i’m reading rn :P, and finally started the three-body problem and the giver 😀
So far I’ve read the whole Lockwood and Co series, Shatter Me, a couple books for literature, and I know there’s more but my brain can’t currently think of anything but Locklyle, so I might update this later 😛
I’ve read Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson, Shroud by Adrian Tchaikovsky, Future’s Edge by Gareth L. Powell, Open Throat by Henry Hoke and The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association by Caitlin Rozakis!
I enjoyed them all, but I think my favourites so far are Shroud and Open Throat.
I’m currently reading Witch King by Martha Wells and Heal the Beasts by an author who I’ve forgotten the name of, which is nonfiction about the history of veterinary medicine.
How was Wind and Truth? It’s next on the list after Sunlit man, I’m a little afraid to start it 😛
I enjoyed it a lot! There were definitely some flaws (the editing could’ve been so much better), and I think it was the weakest stormlight book overall, but it was still really good and I’m super excited to see where it goes next (in six years time :().
I’ve finished A Starless Clan: Star and Adrift! Now I’m reading the Superteacher Project; I’m only on the first few chapters but it seems good so far 😀
so far this year ive read solitaire (which is by the author who wrote heartstopper augh i forgot her name) and the way i used to be (warning, contains rape) by amber smith! both are good, and im planning to finish once upon a broken heart by stephanie garber (i think thats her name? lol) and lightlark by alex aster (im so bad at names lol)
The first book I both started and finished in 2025 is The Hedgehog, the Fox, and The Magister’s Pox, by Stephen Jay Gould, a book about the history and philosophy of science and the proper relationship between science and the humanities. I’m currently reading another Gould book, Time’s Arrow, Time’s Cycle, about the history of Geology and the discovery of “deep time,” and a history book, Germany 1923, by Volker Ulrich.
Hmmm- I don’t read books as often anymore so this list is reasonably short 😛
– Boys Without Names, Kashmira Sheth (Read for SS)
Recently finished! It’s about child trafficking and making them do manual labor, like making picture frames. It gives you a view of what a trafficked child has to go through, but there IS a happy ending… and kind of a mystery- at the end 😀
(Since we still don’t know where Baba went to, although with him being back skinnier and less healthy-looking, I think it’s adult trafficking-)
– It’s the End of the World and I’m in my Bathing Suit, Justin A. Reynolds
Wayyy more light-hearted than the former lol. It’s about a boy named Eddie who gets stuck in an apocalypse of sorts with four others, but he was doing his laundry at the time, so he’s stuck in his bathing suit lol (it’s too long to explain how that happened lol). Not finished, but close to finishing.
… I like mystery books more than I thought I did, lol
In Deeper Waters and So This Is Ever After, both by F. T. Lukens. Very pleasant little books. I’m also reading Renegades by Marissa Meyer (recommended by a friend) and A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal. The two latest books in the Toilet-bound series, which I discovered had finally released, are on my list
I’ve read “Walk Two Moons”
What is the most overrated “classic” that you’ve been disappointed by? For me it would be Catcher In The Rye, I hated the writing style and as far as I could tell half the book was just a college guy with bad grades thinking about girls 😛
The only classic I’ve read is Black Beauty, which I liked 😛 I’m planning on reading more classics this year though!
probably either the little prince or holes. holes gave me a bunch of second hand embarrassment ( 😛 ), i thought the characters (like zero for example) weren’t fleshed out enough, and it was a bit far-fetched for me but branded as realistic fiction. and in a nutshell, the little prince was just too abstract for my simple, one-braincell-containing mind 😛
Holes is weird. I read it in class when I was about 8? Or 10? Don’t remember, but it was in a weekly format and I was a literal child so I’m not sure I understood a lot of what was happening. I reread it again later in life and still found it weird. Also, shorter than I remembered. That’d probably because it didn’t take IRL weeks to read /j
I haven’t read both books in a long time, but I do have to say that I agree with you about holes being so confusing and the little prince being all over the place plot wise.
not me who just realized “em” stands for “emphasis”Oh my God I never realized that either what:00WAIT REALLY??Edit: Dang it worked :00
I hated A Farewell To Arms and Musashi, both of them were boring and didn’t seem to accomplish much besides sappy doomed romance and excuses for the nerds in my lit class to debate about Napoleon 😛 (my friends’ brothers, they’re great, just a little too obsessed with historical war strategy)
The Picture of Dorian Gray. I should probably try it again ’cause I didn’t get very far with it, so I’m not sure my opinion is INFORMED, exactly… but I guess I was expecting more to happen faster. If you want a classic-type book that I found actually fun, Jekyll and Hyde is a good one
picture of dorian gray is incredible, but I’m just an overall fan of oscar wilde
I’ve been off and on reading The Importance of Being Earnest and liking that. Not strictly the same since it’s in play format. Once I finish it (in 1000 years), I might revisit Dorian
that one’s good – Wilde is very funny. Dorian Gray is very interesting since it’s such a diversion from his other works in both form (novel vs play) and content/genre
That makes me laugh a little, because Catcher in the Rye is one of my dad’s favorite books, but I think he probably first read it when he was a college guy with bad grades thinking about girls 😛
Most of the classics I’ve read have been at least okay! However, when I was 10 I read Jane Eyre and hated it 😛 I should probably give it a second chance one of these days.
I really didn’t like Lord of the Flies
Seconded! I’m not sure I ever actually read some of the middle section – it was way easier to write essays about how great the book was when I didn’t have my own negative feelings about it in the mix 😛
YES. Finally someone who shares my opinion 😛
Oh my god… I skipped to the end and just stared at it in shock for a few minutes 😛
I like the Dog Man version of Lord of The Flies
the what :p
la reine margot it was one of the only dnfs i can remember it just felt like it wasnt going anywhere and it was just murder attempts and politics the whole time. didnt rly like it
I read Black Beauty in 4th grade, and the entire class disliked it so much that we never finished it and it was removed from the school curriculum 😛 (What happened to Ginger genuinely made me 9-year-old me so horrified, and the entire book was so so depressing with the themes of animal abuse) I think I should read it again though, this was before I started reading every novel study before we had to do it in school and now that I read books with deeper messages like this one I’m most likely gonna enjoy it more (though, never gonna forgive the school for making me read those passages, even back then I was extremely sensitive and cared a lot about animals, and how I felt while reading is why I can’t bring myself to pick it up again)
stupid school. they choose the worst books. they should proof check before they let the kids read the mature books
Lord of the Flies…
so far Fahrenheit 451 is a good book, I love the concept but the writing itself is kinda boring, got 3/4 through and sorta gave up lol
Probably The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky. I had to read it in a high school English class, and we had no study of Russian culture, history, or society, so nothing in the story made any sense.
There are barely any books I hate, much less from a category I rarely ever read 😛
But hmmm… would Harry Potter count as an classic- /Jk I’ve never read past chapter one >:D
So yeah, your answer is none cuz I don’t hate books too terribly.
I don’t think I was a fan of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, but that was also a long time ago that I read it. I haven’t read many classics yet, though I’m about to start To Kill A Mockingbird, so we’ll see what happens. A classic I do love dearly and recommend to everyone all the time, however, is the Outsiders. One of my favorite books of all time
the first Narnia book was good but the rest got soooooooooo boring I gave up 😛
on another note the Outsiders is a amazing story and the writing is absolutely awesome!!
I humbly disagree, I read all the books, they are all so good! Well, in their own ways.
The writing for the Outsiders was one of my favorite aspects in the novel, the author managed to embody what a young kid like Ponyboy would sound like very well. Made the whole story feel more authentic
Whaaaaaat? You didn’t like The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe?
It’s literally so *chef’s kiss* how could you Solar?? /lhj
Sorry to disappoint 😛 my teacher did bring Turkish Delights in for class, though, and I remember liking those, if that helps
I’ve read the Outsiders before! It was a really interesting book.
Heck yeah, Outsiders rep!
I didn’t like The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe either, the characters felt very bland for me
This is why you’re my apprentice /j
That’s the problem I had with it, too. I don’t even remember their names (though it has also been a while, so that might just be my memory failing me)
Not sure if it counts as a classic, but I didn’t like The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I even remember complaining about it to someone on BlogChat 😛 It’s boring in general, cliche in some parts, and contains themes and tropes that I really hate
Oooh I hated that one as well 😛
this is a very unpopular opinion but i didn’t like the narnia books that much 😛
I AGREE 100%
Has anyone read Watership Down before? It’s a British novel about a group of rabbits, and I think it’s one of the novels that Warrior Cats was based off of!
For those who have read it:
1. Who was your favorite character?
2. What was your favorite scene in the book?
3. Have you read the graphic novel version? (That’s the version I’ve read and omg it’s really good)
4. If there’s one thing from Watership Down that you would incorporate into Warrior Cats, what would it be and why?
i read it a while ago, i remember enjoying it back i don’t remember what happens haha
Ie only watched the show but I’m not sure how well it translates to the books but here goes
1. Who was your favorite character? – that one evil rabbit with the blind eye
2. What was your favorite scene in the book? when the main character got hit by a bullet
3. Have you read the graphic novel version? (That’s the version I’ve read and omg it’s really good) nah
4. If there’s one thing from Watership Down that you would incorporate into Warrior Cats, what would it be and why? the only thing I would suggest is those visions that one rabbit gets but wc already has shadowsight lol
Cool! I haven’t watched the show before, what’s it like?
its got a very realistic vibe however its easy to tell that’s it animated! the animations imitate actual rabbit movements quite well surprisingly enough
Sounds interesting, I might watch it on Netflix >:)
The movie is amazing! They capture everything so, so well. The plot is that these humans come to fill up the holes in a rabbit warren, which would kill all the rabbits inside. And the rabbits have all their roles and rules, just like Warriors, one of which being you can’t leave the warren. But before the warren is filled, one of the rabbits, Fiver, gets a vision of it happening. Fiver and his brother, Hazel, gather a bunch of rabbits and try to leave. A guard catches them, but goes with them. They journey to find a new home, and encounter many problems on the way. It’s so awesome, I’d highly recommend! (I may be a bit rusty on the plot, though, it’s been a while).
… Unrelated, but I refuse to read Watership Down…
From what I heard, the female characters are rarely ever main characters, always just the character that makes more rabbits, and I hate that idea >:(
It sounds like an cool story, but just the ‘sexism’ turns me off 🙁
Yeah, understandable, but on the other hand this book was originally made in the 1970s. I don’t think women had nearly as much rights then as they do today.
(Btw Cloudo, can we talk on my sps? I wanna ask you something rq /nm)
I’VE READ IT AND IT’S AMAZING!
1. Hyzenthlay!
2. Probably when they find Captain Holly.
3. I SURE HAVE! THE ART IS AMAZING
4. I’m not really sure tbh
I read most of it a few years ago! (Never finished it, unfortunately). While I can’t remember the book, I can remember the movie as I’ve watched it numerous times. So my answers will be based off the movie.
1. Hyzenthlay! Bigwig was awesome too.
2. Hmmm honestly all of it! 😛
3. Nope!
4. I’m not really sure? But I like the concept of Watership Down more than Warriors so they did something right.
Just out of curiosity, what makes you like the concept of Watership Down more than Warriors? I’d love to know!
I’m actually not sure at all 😛 Maybe just the vibes? I like the rabbits’ beliefs and the way their system functions and the way they interact, it all just fits together so nicely in my opinion and while I adore Warriors, it doesn’t give me the same feeling.
Have you read / watched Watership Down? If so, what did you think of it?
I get what you mean!! I read Watership Down a long time ago, so I don’t really remember anything about it (but I do remember liking it). I’d love to read (and watch) it again with the system and the flow in mind ^^ Speaking of, I’ve never watched the movie either, but I’ll have to! I’m always up for a movie adaptation of a story.
