I really need some advice.
Back in August, I got into a fight with my kind-of-friend. I’ve been holding a grudge against her since. Same with her.
But to be honest, it would be nice to get together for Halloween, maybe even make a small party like we did last year. (That was super fun.)
I ran into a few problems at this point 😅
1.) I’ve held a grudge this long…I kinda don’t want to be the one to give in. I’d apologize, but it would be really embarrassing for me to be the one who takes the first step. She already thinks I’m stupid and weak and looks down on me… being the one to go to her wouldn’t help that.
2.) Her mom yelled at me. She hasn’t written to my mom or anything since then. Not only would it be awkward to face her, but it also makes me feel like “I’m not welcome”, or “I’m hated with them”, even though I try to be nice.
3.) My other friend just wrote to me in an email she will be trick-or-treating somewhere else. Which kinda blows the small party possibility.
4.) Time is really running out 😬
5.) I have a feeling something bad is going to happen for some reason.

Maybe you could go to her and apologize/tell her you want the fight to stop- in a calm and assertive way. I think, if done right, taking the first step might actually make you look strong and mature and put you in a good position.
Do you have any other friends who would be able to have a party with you? You could always invite a few different people and see who shows up, and hopefully this person will be among them.

Ummm, if even before the fight she thought you were stupid and weak, then I don’t think she ever was your friend. And her mom yelling at you… It seems to me that they’re kind of an unstable family. It might be better to just let this relationship go. You can’t just apologize and continue to let someone treat you like dirt forever. Sometimes you just have to cut off a relationship to take care of yourself.
I mean, I could be reading the entire situation wrong but based off the little I know from your comment I think this might be the most healthy option.

You should apologize. It might feel awkward, it we do need more love in this world, and just by apologizing, you might be able to bring a little bit of love, even if she doesn’t return it. You could talk to her about the Halloween party you had together last year, to start, and then apologize and offer to get together for Halloween.
Letting her know that you’re her might give her an opportunity to apologize herself, because you don’t know, she might be feeling similar.
As her her mom, that is not something that you should have to figure out. I’ve been in a very similar situation, and it is awful. Talk to your guardian about it, or another trusted adult, because that is not something that you need to deal with yourself.

*hugs* I can’t say I know how you feel, I’ve been using a chrome book as long as I can remember way before we needed to use them for school. But I can understand, I hope your eyes feel better.
*hugs* I’m sorry – I take online lessons, so I know how screen time can be painful! <3 Some things that I've found that help me is, whenever you feel your eyes starting to hurt, look at anything other than your computer for twenty seconds (and the farther you look away, the better). It gives your eyes a break!
Also, do you have a "night light" feature on your computer? Some computers have a filter that you can turn on that gives it an orange tint, and that helps since blue light strains your eyes more. I'd recommend searching it up to see if Chromebooks have it!
If they don't, there are these things called "amber glasses" (I believe) that are like the night light filter, but in glasses form, which goes without saying 😛 They're pretty cheap (some fewer than ten dollars), and I have a pair, so I can vouch that they totally look cool 😉 Good luck, and I hope your eyes feel better! <33
