~Swanheart~
Swanheart carefully prodded each kit with her paw, it had been a difficult labor, and when she came upon a eerily still white she-kit she nudged it, “Whitekit?” She licked the small kit’s head, “No, no, no.” She murmured, she curled around all three of her kits, grief almost overwhelming her, “Oh, my sweet kit.” She gently laid her tail over Whitekit’s body
Fishpaw woke up then went out of the apprentices den and went to the elders den and went inside. “ Is there anything I can do for you guys?” She asked. She was eager to do something
Honeypaw padded out of the den, blinking the sleep out of her eyes, she perked her ears when she heard Swanheart talking and went over to Fishpaw, “I think we should check on Swanheart.” She whispered to Fishpaw, “She sounds upset.”
Fishpaw went over to Swanheart and sat next to her.
Honeypaw looked at Whitekit’s still body, “Swanheart?” She whispered.
Swanheart jerked awake and saw the two apprentices looking at her, “Hello you two” she said, “Have you come to look at the kits?” Her voice was weary and filled with sorrow as she gazed at Whitekit, “That was Whitekit” she whispered hoarsely, then she turned to her two other kits, “this is Leafkit” her voice broke a bit, but she countinued talking, “and this is Ashkit.” Leafkit was a small black and brown tom and Ashkit was a dark grey tom. Whitekit was white with light grey spots, she wasn’t moving or breathing
Fishpaw stoped breathing for a few seconds and then hung her head.
Swanheart sighed, “You’d better go find your mentors.” She said, “They might be looking for you.”
Fishpaw nodded and walked away and looked around for her mentor
Shimmersplash poked her head into the nursery. “Fishpaw? There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” she meowed.
Fishpaw jumped “ oh sorry, what do you need?” Fishpaw asked
Shimmersplash opened her mouth, as if about to reply, then she caught sight of Swanheart. Her eyes widened with sympathy as she gazed at Whitekit. “Oh, Swanheart. I’m so sorry. Is there anything I can do?”.
Fishpaw looked behind her and walked out and waited for Shimmersplash
Swanheart shook her head, and gazed at Her remaining kits, “I’ll be fine.” She whispered.
Honeypaw slowly backed out the den and sat by the camp entrance.
Shimmersplash backed out of the nursery. Grief tugged her heart as she remembered the poor Swanheart, and the dead kit. She glanced around for Fishpaw. There she was! “Fishpaw!” she padded over to her apprentice. “Time for training!” she tried to sound upbeat.
Honeypaw ran over, “Can I come to?” She asked, “I haven’t been out in ages and I’m really bored. I promise I’ll be good, please?” She looked up at Shimmersplash with big eyes.
Shimmersplash purred. The Clan needed all of the apprentice’s enthusiasm at the moment. “Of course you can!”.
Fishpaw smiled at her mentor
Fishpaw smiled at her mentor.
Shimmersplash turned toward the camp entrance, beckoning the 2 apprentices after her.
Fishpaw followed Shimmersplah. (Sorry for the extra comment)
Honeypaw ran over and followed Shimmersplash, “Where are we gonna hunt?” She asked
“Excuse me, Honeypaw, where are you going?” Splashpelt was proud of her new apprentice, but she silently thought that she might’ve bothered to ask her first before rushing off.
Honeypaw looked behind her, “Um, uh.” She tried hard to think of how to make it sound good that she didn’t have her mentor’s permission, “I was gonna hunt, if that’s okay.” She murmured, “Sorry about not asking.” She looked up at Splashpelt, “I’m really sorry.” She repeated, guilty for not asking
Splashpelt chuckled, thinking about how eager she was as well when she was an apprentice. “Fine, you can go, just be back soon as we’re going on the midday patrol later!” Padding off, she went to check on Swanheart.
“Thanks, Splashpelt!” She called before heading out of camp
Swanheart curled tightly around her kits and tried to fall asleep

Swanheart curled around her kits and tried to block out the image of Whitekit’s still body. “StarClan give me strength.” She whispered, voice wavering. “Blackleaf, I need you.” She curled tighter around her kits and feel asleep
Splashpelt saw Swanheart with her kits, fast asleep. “I better not bother them..” She decided she would guard camp till midday.
Honeypaw walked into camp proudly, a mouse and shrew in her mouth, “Swiftpelt, look what I caught!” She called, not bothering to drop the prey
“Wow! That’s amazing!” exclaimed Splashpelt.
(Also I’m splashpelt in this rp)
(ak, sorry!)
“Should I bring the mouse to Swanheart?” She asked, setting the shrew in the fresh kill pile
“Sure! But she might be sleeping, so don’t wake her if she is.”
Honeypaw nodded and dashed over to the clearing, the mouse getting tangled in her paws. She peeked her head in and saw Swanheart lifting her head, “I brought you a mouse.” She called quietly before backing away and setting it outside the den.
Swanheart padded out of the nursery and settled down next to the mouse, “Did you catch this?” She asked Honeypaw with a glance at Splashpelt
Fishpaw walked into camp with a squirrel in her jaws. She brought it to the elders den. “ I brought a squirrel for you guys” she mewed. She then dropped it in front of them.
Honeypaw walked over to Skypaw, “Did you see the shrew I caught?” She asked enthusiastically. A moment later she noticed the squirrel, “WOW! that’s HUGE!” She meowed, amazement making her eyes wide, “Did you catch that all by yourself?”
Fishpaw nodded. And looked at her paws then walked away

Honeypaw looked around camp, bored. “Splashpelt, can we have battle training?” She asked, fidgiting with a leaf.
Swanheart smiled at Honeypaw, “I don’t envy you, Splashpelt,” she meowed, “that ball of energy must keep you on your toes.” She gave a little laugh and stood. “If you need me, I’ll be in the nursery.” She called, walking toward where her kits were sleeping peacefully
Mothpaw laughed as she padded over to Honeypaw and Splashpelt. “Can I join you guys?” Mothpaw asked, crouching, swaying her bushy tail side-to-side, hoping to cure her boredom.
Perchpad flicked her tail.
“I may as well come too.”
“Great!” Honeypaw meowed cheerfully. She stood, “Let’s go! I’m bored,” she started walking toward the entrance of camp
Fishpaw decided to join them since she was bored out of her mind
Drizzlepaw walked into her den, praying to StarClan that many injuries this year.
(emberstream, can one of Swanheart’s kits be Splashkit? Or could she be her foster kit?)
(Splashkit can be one of her kits! We’ll just go ahead and play as if Splashkit was there the whole time 😉)
