Dreamstar sat on a rock that was in the pool of the Dripping River. “what a great Green-leaf this is.” she smiled. she looked down in the water and saw a fish. quickly swiping her paw in water a pulled out the fish, and bite it, killing it. She stood up and hopped from rock to rock to get to the Dripping Diver cave. “I got fresh fish!” she grin setting it in the fresh-kill pile for the queens and elders.
Leafflutter smiled at Dreamstar and tried to hide her jealousy at the leader’s ability to hunt. I’m sure Dreamstar won’t mind if I go out to hunt for a bit…, she thought. She looked around, but before she went outside she spotted Minnowpaw going out the entrance. I’ll have to go later when I can slip away without being noticed, she told herself. Sighing, she walked over to Foxpaw. “How are you doing?” She asked kindly.
Foxpaw sighed, she was soooo bored but there was nothing she could do, her belly bulged with her unborn kits, Minnowpaw put his tail on her back.
She purred,” Didn’t you say you were going hunting?”
Minnowpaw laughed, ” So I did,” he looked at her I’m worry, ” Will you be okay without me?”
” Minnowpaw, I am not the first Queen, I’ll be fine.”
Minnowpaw nodded and padded off to go hunt.
Leafflutter glanced at Foxpaw, “How’re you doing?” She asked kindly.
” Good,” she mewed, “Minnowpaws lucky, he can go hunting and battle training. While I’m in camp being bored.”
Leafflutter quickly looked away, “He is lucky.” She meowed softly. Everyone is lucky… Except for me, she thought sadly. She shook the thoughts away and fake smiled, “How long till your kits are due?” She asked, trying to be cheerful.
“Oh any day now,” she replied, ” Minnowpaw is getting a little…. Anxious,”
Leafflutter nodded in understanding, turning to look at Foxpaw with her good eye. “When you move out of the nursery,” she started quietly. “Please, don’t… don’t be afraid to come visit.” She dropped her gaze to her paws and tried not to think about when Foxpaw would have to leave.
“I will,” she mewed, ” You didn’t think I would leave you in the nursery alone did you?”
Leafflutter sighed, “I don’t know.” She whispered. “You’ll be happy to get back to training and watching your kits grow up. Not to mention, spending time with Minnowpaw.”
“I’ll be back,” she promised,”I’ll visit every day and I’ll bring fresh kill, and I’m sure the kits will come visit to,”
Spottedsky nuzzled up to her mate, Ravenpelt.
“Shh,” she said, “I’m expecting. I don’t want anyone to know yet.”
Ravenpelt purred, then said worriedly, “But you’re the only medicine cat! Who will help you?”
“I don’t know,” she murmured, “But I’ll know eventually.”

dreamstar watched her clanmates talk to the queen. she smiled and walked out of the cave. she smiled as the warm sun hit her face. “it’ll be great to have kits running around.” she thought to herself.
Spottedsky looked up at Dreamstar.
“Do you think she knows?” Spottedsky asked Ravenpelt quietly.
“Probably,” he said.
Jaystorm approached Dreamstar, a large trout he recently caught in his jaws,”Greetings, Dreamstar” the blueish gray tom said warmly,”would you like to share this fish with me?”

She dipped her head at his greetings. “I would love to share I haven’t eaten yet.” She smiled. “Nice catch too.”
Jaystorm settled down beside her,”I see that you are as excited for the new kits as I am.” He began, taking a small piece of the trout,”I just wonder how it will effect Foxpaw’s training as an apprentice. It’s not often that things like this happen. Do you think she should finish her apprentice ship when her kits are weaned, or shall we let her decide? “
“Leafflutter do you want to come with me to find Minnowpaw?” Foxpaw asked,” He’s been gone for a while,”
Leafflutter nodded uncertainly, “Sure. Do you mind if we leave now?” She felt a slight panicking feeling rising in her chest as she glanced around camp, but did a good job of hiding it.
“We can go know,” she mewed, she rushed out of camp faster then a queen normally run, leaving Leafflutter behind, “Race ya!” She yowled back at her.
As she ran over the rise to Hunting grounds she saw something horrible.
Minnowpaw was lying on the ground, unmoving,, blood soaked his pelt, she almost didn’t recognize him.
“MINNOWPAW!!” She screeched she ran to his side, “LEAFFLUTTER HELP!!!”
Leafflutter ran over, horrified when she spotted Minnowpaw. “Get Dreamstar!” She ordered, terror in her one eye. “Get Dreamstar now!” She leaned over Minnowpaw and started nosing him over, searching for the wound. Not again! Her mind screeched. This can’t be happening! Just like last time…
She faded out of reality as she remembered last time something like this happened. Don’t think about it! She told herself sternly. This will be different. It has to be different.

He just so happens to be walked in the hunting ground with a rabbit in his jaws. “Someone needs help!” He dashed inside the Direction he heard the yowl. “Foxpaw what happened!?” He Screeched. He walked over and saw the wounds. “I don’t think that was from a cat.” He whispers. “Foxpaw go get the med NOW!” He ordered.
Foxpaw ran into camp, “Dreamstar!! Minnowpaws hurt!”

“Get spottedsky. And take us to him.” She ordered. Oh no! A hurt cat? In these woods? She thought.
“Spottedsky,” she raced toward him, ” Minnowpaws hurt!!”
Spottedsky perked her ears
“Where?” She asked.
She looked down at her belly, I can do this!
Jaystorm followed Dreamstar , thoughts racing through his mind. Despite being deputy, the tom still sometimes struggled with intense situations.
Foxpaw raced back towards hunting grounds, her heart raceing Minnowpaw couldn’t be dead.

“Leafflutter, Sunfeather, what happened?” She looked at the the to with a panicked face. “She looked down at minnowpaw and saw claw marks she never seen before….or did she?
Leafflutter shuddered, “I-I don’t know. I was with Foxpaw- we found Minnowpaw like this…” She gasped when she spotted the biggest wound. “We need Spottedsky,” she whispered. “NOW.”
Foxpaw raced through the forest and was back at Minnowpaws side very quickly, half his fur was ripped from his head and body. She gasped, ” M-minnowpaw,”

He went over and tried to fell his heart beat and it (stopped or beating?) he looked at minnowpaws mate and gave a concern look at her. “I don’t know.” He put his head down and backed away.
Spottedsky raced to minnowpaw as fast as she could carrying kits.
“Stand back,” she said.
She dipped her nose to his chest.
(Is he dead?)
(No)
“I-is h-he okay…? ” she asked as she baked away.
“He’s breathing,” she said not answering the question
Foxpaw sniffed the area, she smelled a sent she had never smelled before, ” Sunfeather, Leafflutter, there’s something here!”
( sorry my last comment I said baked away instead of backed away, Foxpaw is not a bread roll Lol)
Bloomingfeather watched Flamekit worriedly as he bounced closer to the waterfall. “Watch for the waterfall!” she called anxiously.
Shelldance purred beside her. “He’ll be fine,” he meowed.
Ravenpelt chuckled as he saw the kit playing.
Soon Spottedsky’s kits will come.. he thought

“Do you think we should move him to the medical den?” He asked. He looked down at minnowpaw. “I hope he makes it. He has to see his kits be born with his mate.” He whispers.

She nodded.
“Can you do it on your own?” Spottedsky huffed.
It was becoming pretty obvious Spottedsky was pregnant

“Ok.” He nodded. He and (insert name) took minnowpaw to the medical den.

She walked close to spottedsky and smiled at her. “So when will you be due.” She gave a warm look. “I was hoping you too would have kits one day.”
“A moon,” she replied quietly.
She wasn’t normally shy, but she was pretty nervous. She’s delivered kits before, but she’s never done it for herself.
Leafflutter shuddered and backed away, into the shadows of the clearing. Her eyes were haunted as she was thrust back into the memories of her own tragedy. She glanced at Foxpaw, pity for the young queen welling inside her. Suddenly, she turned and rushed away. not sure where to go, she ran in a random direction.
Foxpaw sniffed the area, she smelled a sent she had never smelled before, ” Sunfeather, Dreamstar, there’s something here!”
( sorry my last comment I said baked away instead of backed away, Foxpaw is not a bread roll Lol)

She nodded to spottedsky and was about to say something until she heard foxpaw. She ran over her. “What is it?” She put her nose down and saw a long gray hair. She sniffed it and her eyes widened. I can’t tell the clan! They would panic. She thought. “Must have been blown in the wind.” She lied. “Don’t worry I’ll send out a patrol when I get back.” She nodded.

Foxpaw dipped her head, ” I’m going to go see Minnowpaw,” she mewed.
Was that strange scent what had attacked Minnowpaw. As soon as she was far enough away she turned picking up the scent again. I have to find l out, she thought, and so she followed the trail…..
Spotted sky looked back at the cats.
I’m exhausted, agh the kits are annoying, she thought.
“I’ll meet you there.” She said, and walked as fast as she could back to the waterfall to prepare herbs.

The elder wobbled over to Spottedsky with her three legs. “Dear you should rest.” She pointed her tail to her nest. “I’ll take care of things for you. I may be old and three legged but I still can use my paws!” She nudged the Medical cat to her nest. “And I don’t want to see you on her paws again!” She ordered. The elder took a herb and started to chew it up for minnowpaw wound.
“You-you know about herbs?” she asked, reluctantly laying down in her nest.
Foxpaw wandered through the forest, the sent getting stronger. She stopped, there was more than one. The Bush rustled across from her, she quickly hid. A large male dog amerged from the bush along with others. She barely kept from gasping when she felt a sharp pain in her belly. My kits, she thought panicking, there coming!

Dreamstar had reached the waterfall when she noticed that Foxpaw was not there. OH NO! She thought. “Sunfeather, (insert name if you want to go). Foxpaw is not here! And her kits will becoming soon. Go back and find her.” She ordered. Oh starclan help her! She thought
Foxpaw resisted the urge to yowl, she was about to move when she realized the Bush would move with her. She winced. Great idea Foxpaw, she thought, you should get yourself killed before or after your kits are born!! The large animals sniffed the area and then went back in the direction they came from. She breathed, and as soon as they were far enough away she stumbled to her paws. But as many times as she tried she kept falling. My kits, she thought, are going to be born here.

He immediately bolted into the woods to find Foxpaw. “Foxpaw!” He yelled. “Foxpaw where are you!” He sniffed around. “FOXPAW!” He yowled louder.
Stormdance dashed after him.
“I think I smell her!” he told Sunfeather.
He tasted the air once more, “It’s definitely her… and… dogs?”
