(Owlheart)

A bird of prey whispered in the night,
About all of the beauty that gave others a fright,
Because in the snowy forest,
Lovely things were mixed by a florist.

Fish swam through the leaves,
Wolves barked at the trees,
The bird treasured it all,
Respecting all words; even when small.

When another bird lost its feathers,
She would gather them back together,
Because with the looks of an owl, and the feathery heart of a fowl,
There wasn’t much else her kind conscience would allow.
