to have your powers activated yet}): When Blanche was eight years old, she was taken hostage, held for ransom, and nearly killed by a man twice her size. Before he had a chance to finish the job, however, the surrounding area became very cold, and despite the fact that the room was freezing and the man had been pinned to the wall by several icicles, Blanche herself didn’t feel too much colder than she had before.
Later, when she turned thirteen, she set out on her own, trying to make some sense of the crazy world she was living in.

to have your powers activated yet}): she got her powers at a young age, when she was running away from one of the monsters, who she had run into while playing in the forest, with her speed she escaped. Her family protected her from people that hated her for her powers, and she never had any friends because people were scared of her for her power. Once day, she was captured by a sort of human-trafficker type person that wanted to sell her to people who wanted to use her for her powers. She escaped with the help of another one of the Gifted (wavey), but they died in the attempt to escape. But Cheetah did make it out. And she’s been running from them ever since.
