Ok, so first I have a question for you! Who is your favorite character?
Oooh tricky first question! Boring but, Shawn is the most relatable character of all time for me and since it kinda feels like watching myself sometimes, I have to go with him. Second would be Chief Vick or Gus 😀 how about you?
I gotta say Shawn, but Lassiter and Gus are a close second for me! 😀
Aha! Fellow Shawn lovers 😀 and Lassieeee my guy 😂 Really though, it’s hard to think of many Psych characters that I dislike. Who do I want to have a lot of screentime in the next movie? Let’s see… all of them. Do you have a favorite episode?
I don’t think I have a favorite episode, but I do have a favorite season! I just have a bad memory and cannot remember what it is. (oof) What about you? Also who is your favorite villain?
Haha that’s fair! I have lots of favorite episodes but my all time favorite would have to be Last Night Gus. My favorite seasons are six and seven 😀 Ooo tough one- I’d have to go with either Despereaux (yes I had to search up how to spell it) or Yang. How about you?
What character in the show would you say you’re most like?
I like Despereaux (Yep, I copied ur spelling) best too! I’m probably most like Shawn, although I’m not that much like him. I have that kind of silly personality. I think of you as Gus, just cause of ur pfp 😛, but what character are you actually more like?
I’m actually a carbon copy of Shawn, I even look a little like him! It literally felt like I was watching myself most scenes- which is one of the reasons why I’m super attached to the show. I DEFINITELY relate to Gus and Juliet as well, but Shawn 1000% wins for that question hehe 😊 OkOk tough question- thoughts on Henry Spencer?

I like Henry. He’s not always the greatest father, but I still like him. I think he’s a funny character. What do you think about him?
I’d agree with you! I think he grows a lot as both a character and a father throughout the series. It’s obvious that he loves and cares a lot about Shawn! Now Maddie (his mom) on the other hand…
I had to do separate comment thing cause that was getting hard for me to read.
I don’t like Shawn’s mom. She seems like a nice lady, but she left her family to pursue a career when Henry was clearly trying to fix their marriage. She literally said when she left her family her life began again. I think any mother that could possibly say that is not a very good person.
Yeah, Maddie is not someone I enjoy watching I’m the least. Her leaving obviously left long term effects on Shawn and some of it I’d label as traumatic- especially since it got to the point where he disassociated and forced himself to believe that he could blame it all on his dad.
In my opinion it kinda sounds like Maddie must have gaslighted and manipulated Shawn for him to get to that point which is just… yuck 😬I don’t blame her for not staying in a relationship with Henry while she was unhappy- but abandoning her son for her own pleasure was totally not okay.
As for a more lighthearted question, do you have a favorite ship?
Shawn and Juliet are nice (although I thought Juliet freaked out a little too much about Shawn not being Psychic) but I think my favorite ship is Marlow and Lassiter! I think they have a really nice relationship with each other. What about you?
I like Shules a lot too! I on the other hand think she freaked out a very normal amount. She’s a person who was lied to a lot very early on in her childhood, and holds honesty up to quite a high standard. She found Shawn to be someone she could trust, and keep in mind that the thing he lied about was the main thing driving their relationship. If Shawn hadn’t lied, then he wouldn’t have even met Juliet- so even if their relationship wasn’t based on a lie, it was formed because of one, which would have been heartbreaking to Juliet who thought that she had finally found a trustworthy person.
I DO wish that the writers could’ve made Shawn develop in his honesty just a bit more, because he acted like his entire mindset on being a clean slate was flipped when Juliet changed his life, but he still continued to lie straight to her face a lot. I feel like the consequences should’ve been higher for dishonesty after the truth came out about the psychic stuff, at least. (It could’ve led to some really funny scenes too lol)
Now as for my FAVORITE ship, I struggle! I am the ultimate Psych multishipper, and I definitely didn’t feel limited by the canon bounds 😛 I’d say my top three are Shawn x Juliet, Lassie x Marlowe, and Shawn x Lassie. That’s hard as hecklesauce to say though because Psych is just STUFFED with wonderful dynamics, romantic or otherwise! My favorite dynamic, not limited by only romantic ones, would have to be Juliet and Lassie. I think they have such an amazing found family type siblinghood/friendship. Of course the same goes for Shawn and Gus, but Lassie and Juliet are right up there with them in my opinion. (I also love literally everyone’s dynamic with Chief Vick)
Do you have a favorite platonic/familial dynamic?
I don’t think I do! There as so many awesome relationships it’s hard to choose between them!
It is SUPER hard- I also have to mention Iris (Chief Vick’s kid) and Juliet’s dynamic- it’s so cute, I can totally see a big sister/little sister or an aunt/niece dynamic
Yeah, that’s really cool! One thing I noticed about Iris, though. In pictures around her desk, Chief Vick’s daughter has very blonde hair, and in the movie she has very dark hair. 😛
Oh wow!! I had never noticed that. I wonder if she changed actresses or… hinting at an emo phase? XD
