Nemesis –

Four figures circled another, which would have seemed a normal sight, in a world where conflicts are just a feature of daily life. But these creatures, however much they looked like cats, they definitely weren’t. Smoke curled at the edges of one of the creatures pelts, and another’s paws were not solid, but a dripping mass of water. One’s tail was fire, which danced around his face, lighting up the endless world of black, the others eyes were sealed shut, and their pelt seemed cracked and broken.
The commanders of air, water, fire and earth.
But the last, smaller than the rest was so strange and foreign, it was hard to see him against the world. He was a constant swirl of blacks and whites, yet at the same time, it was tinted with strange colours which seemed to flicker and change. His eyes had no pupils, just pure black.
The four commanders circled the last, the soul chooser, with bated breath, and harsh stares. Their teeth shone even though no light existed aside from the fire commanders glow.
“Sielos, do you have anything to say about your actions !”
Four creatures spoke as one, their voices wildly different, merging into a sound which would have made every patch of a mortal cats pelt prickle with fear. But Sielos, the soul chooser, seemed calm. Foolishly calm.
“Ah Oras, Vanduo, I see that you have caught up with Ugnis, and Žemė ! I haven’t seen you in a millennium, how’s the plants… and the trees.”
The giant earth commander growled, her cracked and broken voice barely ready for use.
“Look guys I don’t know what this is about ! I’ve just been doing my job..”
Ugnis snapped, as the most, volatile of all the commanders, it was no surprise.
“You know EXACTLY what has been happening Sielos. Or have you not noticed the unbalance ?”
Sielos, for the first time, looked scared. His pelt prickled uncomfortably, and his tail flicked from side to side. The swirling black and white kaleidoscope of his pelt seemed to circle even faster.
“It was only a few souls, and they don’t clash that badly. I can fix it I swear ! And no cat will even need to get hurt.”
This time Oras spoke, a soft chuckle came from her, as she stepped closer, and closer to Sielos, forcing him to retreat backwards.
“Only a few souls. Not that badly. Sielos half the cats in the world have matching souls ! And not even simply close souls. Exact. Matches. “
Her face was right next to his, and her cool breath blew strands of fur into his eyes, but he dare not blink. On cue, the most relaxed of the commanders pushed their way through the tense situation.
“What Oras is trying to say, is that this world is going to die. Even if you kill every single one of these cats, and then murder them again in the afterlife, the strain on the world is too much. There’s only one way to do this.”
Sighing at Vanduo’s usual know it all attitude, Sielos spoke again, slightly less scared for his life.
“So, great and powerful god of the sea and freshwater, ruler of currents, Vanduo, what course of action do you suppose my humble self should pursue ?”
If this ruffled the commanders fur they didn’t show it, but simply continued, ignoring Ugnis who was being held back from sending streams of fire towards him by a pillar of rock created by Žemė.
“We shall make a new world. It will be one strange and new, different to everything you’ve ever seen. But leave that to us. Your pathetic powers will do no good to us. You need to gather the linked souls, keep them in this plane we have created, give them a few challenges, hopefully a few will drop dead before any action needs to be taken.”
Sielos laughed. He didn’t want to, and was putting himself in a life threatening situation by doing so, but it was hilarious. Put the souls in one place ! It was madness.
“Your joking ? If I put them in one place, well the souls are already tended enough, being so close… “
He stopped. Wait a second.
“It would kill every single one of them and me. Are you trying to get rid of me ?”
Žemė barked a laugh from behind Vanduo
“If we wanted you dead, why would I be holding back Ugnis.”
Letting out a sigh of relief, Sielos turned back to Vanduo, who seemed ready to spurt some more know it all speech. What luck.
“Well we have discovered that if you provide the cats with a power outlet, you should be able to contain them in one place. Telekinesis, poison, weather and animation. At the end of the challenges, if their nemesis, this is what you shall call their Soul Linked, is still living, one must kill the other, give up their place in the new world for another or trade souls, with another, which will just lead to more confusion.”
Sielos winced. He’d seen many soul trades firsthand, and they weren’t pretty. Cats changed eye colour to the shade of the precious soul owner, and the were often left mentally and physically scarred. That’s if they survived at all.
“Now go, find our cats for the next world, and make sure no linked souls are forgotten. Because if they are…. the world shall perish.”
Sielos nodded and the scene faded.

He awoke, floating above the world, and began to seek the souls, hoping that for everyone’s sake, the commanders were right about the power outlet. If not…. the world could perish.

Meanwhile, green eyes watched from far away, and the sound of giant wings echoed around the empty space, gone before any cat could turn their head.

Your Characters Story –

You had a life.
It may not have been normal, it may have been pain filled and tough, but you had a life all the same.
Then something came for you. It’s , or rather his voice was urgent, saying that you had to come with him. You may have agreed or not, but it didn’t change the fact that whether through a fight or acceptance, this tom bit your throat.
And then you woke up.
Many others surrounded you, all seeming to wake up. You look at yourself in the nearest patch of water. All your scars, and the items you wore in life, they’re still there, and there’s no marks where your throat was bitten. Looking around you see you are in an open area, with massive stone walls. A few of the stronger cats look like they are trying to climb out, but fail, and strong gusts of wind carry them to the ground. The water looks…. off. Very very clear, barely existent. The plants are a strange deep purple, with blue flowers, and the whole worlds seems to be conscious to the cats efforts to escape, and strong winds, tinted with pink incircle you.

Slowly the tom you saw before pads forward, a few cats hiss at him, others take a step back in fear. His pelt is strange and seems to move….
“Hello. You have been summoned here because your world is dying. And I want to give you a chance to have another life, go to a new, perfect world. But there’s one problem. It can’t be paradise, if you have a nemesis. It’s nothing to worry about, everyone has one, but we need yours gone. Some of you may have two, most of you just one, but one of you either needs to die, or give up you place in the new world, and die with the old.”

More cats begin to hiss, trying more and more desperately to climb the cliffs out. Yet the wind just grows stronger.

“But don’t worry, I have come up with a few tasks for you, that should help….. dispose of a few of you so some won’t have to make this choice. But for now, just rest, and try to work out who that cat may be, and try not to get too attached to anyone.”

Rules :

So here are the rules for this roleplay !

1. Pg please, we allow violence, and bad things to happen to cats, and some slightly more serious topics in their past. But remember, blogclan is child friendly and there may younger people viewing this . Check with me before any very mature plots are used
2. To start with you may only have one character. But if you complete an art or writing piece about the new character you are bringing in, then you may add another. Just keep everyone active.
3. NO POWER PLAYING this is when you take control of another persons character. This can range from injuring them without the other persons consent to full on having conversations without them roleplaying their characters response
4. Your cats only know about their powers when I say they do. And you can’t choose their power.
5. Cats will be knocked out / die in story if you randomly disappear from the Roleplay for two events in a row. Unless you tell me you will be gone in advance.

About you Soul Linked

Soul linked cats will be decided by me, and will not be revealed until the roleplays climax.

There are four soul colours –
Blue
Red
Green
Black

And these are divided into shades
For example
Blue – Aqua
Red – Crimson
Green – Lime
Black – Ebony

Each shade is only shared by two or three cats. These are your soul shade, and determine your soul linked cat. Soul colours do NOT affect powers, though they will affect something else in the future.
To find out your soul shade I will give a secret page much later on in time, no one else look on those please, it just ruins the story for you.
However soul colours will be public knowledge and may affect your powers ever so slightly.
(Also some other stuff but not spoilers 😉)

These can’t be chosen and will be revealed pretty early on

Telekinesis – Oras’ favoured souls

Level 1 – Small, light objects like leaves lift up a little when you focus on them
Level 2 – You can lift small objects higher, and lift slightly bigger objects a tiny bit.
Level 3 – You can lift heavier things a good height and you can now throw them short distances
Level 4 – You can now lift much heavier objects, throw them further and make a shield out of them for a short amount of time
Level 5 – You can throw a cat very forcefully and hold a shield for longer. You can throw things further

Poison – Vanduo’s Favoured Souls

Level 1 – You can spit this horrible tasting liquid, it would give you a bit of a stomach upset if you ate it. Your cat may believe they are very unwell and have no power.

Level 2 – You now find that you can breath out a gas that makes cats feel sleepy as well as your foul tasting liquid

Level 3 – Your spit is now a bit acidic and would hurt if it touched another cat. Your gas is a bit stronger and now some cats may actually fall asleep

Level 4 – You have lost your sleepy gas ability but you spit is now much stronger and will leave cats with a burn and you seem to be able to make the poison come from you claws as well. You can spit you poison out a tail length in front of you

Level 5 – Your poison can now leave serious burns and you can lay it on the ground as a trap for other cats. You have got your sleepy gas ability back but cats will very rarely fall asleep from it, it might just make them feel a bit drowsy

Weather – Ugnis’ Favoured Souls

Level 1 – When you have strong emotions, the sky seems the darken and cloud over. Sometimes winds grow stronger around you. Your cat may believe they have no power.

Level 2 – You gain more control over the weather and can now make the sky cloud over, make winds blow harder and it rain slightly

Level 3 – You can make it rain heavily, and darken the sky. You can make very strong winds, which can be hard for a cat to push against.

Level 4 – You can make it hail and snow at will, as well as creating a storm, but you can’t control when or where the lightning hits. You are immune to the effects of any weather YOU create

Level 5 – You can control lighting, which can be very dangerous, but is survivable by almost all cats. You can control the temperature, but only in a small area

Animation – Žemė’s Favoured Souls

Level 1 – Rocks seem to roll when you get angry, and you have slight control over then. You seem to be able to mounds of dirt or mud without touching them. You cat may believe they have telekinesis powers.

Level 2 – You can make shapes out of rocks and make things move a little at will. However you can’t move your own body whilst doing this.

Level 3 – You can create shapes out of rocks and other materials, and make them move around to your command, at the same time you can move, from long distances away you can create things from the earth

Level 4 – You can create things that have some level of intelligence, like cats out of rock that will fight mindlessly for you, but effectively dodge blows without a command from you. You can only control one creature at a time

Level 5 – You can create even bigger creatures, some twice the size of a cat. You can control multiple creatures at a time. You can move your conscience between the creatures, which can help you be safer, but you still have to protect you body and will feel its pain

How to level up (Pinched directly from the Tests )

Level 1 -2 :
Draw,write or Roleplay about your characters initial thoughts on their power
(Minimum for Drawing is a line art, no colouring required, for writing its 100 words, and for Roleplay it’s 5 posts on the theme)
Level 2-3 :
Show you charcter testing the limits of their power or being reluctant to do so.
(Minimum for Drawing is a coloured picture with no shading, for writing it’s 200 words and for Roleplay it’s 7 posts)
Level 3-4 :
Show your discovering the bad side of their power if they were positive to start with or the good side if they were being negative about it
(Minimum for Drawing is a good attempt at a shaded picture with some attempt at a back ground, for writing its 250 words and for Roleplay its 10 posts)
Level 4-5 :
Show your character mastering their power, coming to terms with their previous feeling on it, how their past effected their use of the power or their relationship with another character in the Roleplay
(Minimum for Drawing is a picture with as good a back ground and shading as you can do, for writing its 300 words or for Roleplay you can do 15 posts , level 5 is buff ok it needs to be challenging to get there )

Creating a second character –

So you may want more than one character, I have to say I’ve already go two designs sitting around !
To add your second character, you must write a story about their past or draw a scene from their past. You can do this for your third, and fourth and so on !
But remember, if you aren’t active with a certain character for two events in a row, without telling me, they will die. If all your character die, you can create a new on immediately.
If you go inactive and come back to all your characters dead then….. you can bring ONE back to life.
But their powers will be reset to level 1

How do I confirm my character will live ?

Well if you don’t kill them off during the challenges I won’t kill them.
But in the last challenge…… well.
I’m not giving any spoilers for the ending

What world is this ?

So this point is very IMPORTANT
YOU MUST READ THIS ALL

The world that we are in, is in fact the world in which, after the end of the Tests (another Roleplay I made) all the characters lived. There are no humans but there are all other creatures.
The Tests characters are long gone, but most cats here are descendants of them.
Now we may have little cameo of a few cats in future, but for now, these cats have no knowledge of any other world ever existing, and have never heard of the tests.
And yes Harnor, the god of judgement does still exist, but he is in hiding….. who knows whether he’ll appear again. As do the gods Loki and Fang, but they aren’t my characters so I can’t say anything about them.

If you don’t know about the tests, then ignore all this, it is just a nice world without people.
