Help some of the girls from my youth group have been (what I consider) using the Lord’s name in vain and I want to tell them it’s wrong but I don’t want to be a goody-goody also they might be of different denominations than me and they might believe that what they’re doing is ok… advice would be apreciated thank you!
Hey Rosie! This is extremely late (😭) but here would be my advice:
Ask them what they consider to be the Lord’s name in vain. The Bible is very clear that taking his name in vain is wrong, but we really don’t know exactly what that looks like. I would discuss it with them and let them know that it slightly bothers you. Unfortunately with stuff like this, it’s kinda confusing, but I trust that God will work out this conflict.

Mine would be either Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns or East to West also by Casting Crowns. Fun fact- I used to strongly dislike the Crowns’ music, but these days, let’s just say I’ve changed my mind. When I was in my lowest moment, it felt like I was screaming these songs and it was just so soul-refreshing:D

Hey Riv! Missed you! Sorry I haven’t been on here in a while, but I’d say my favorite worship song is between two: King of Kings and Gratitude.
i wanted to share something that i experienced recently with yall. this weekend our youth group went on a one night retreat. it was a lot of fun!! but there was one moment in particular that i think i will remember for the rest of my life. before the retreat i felt very far from God, and i had been doing things that i regretted. and because of that, i felt like i was losing faith. anyways, the day of the retreat some leaders were talking to us about deliverance, letting go of strongholds, and how the enemy uses what you keep in the dark against you. the next lesson we had was about that same thing. when it was time to worship i was shaking and i felt God right next to me, saying “i love you” over and over again, and i started crying. it wasn’t just me either, i think my whole youth group was crying out to God. after this weekend my faith has been stronger than ever. Praise the Lord!
