    Part 2
“Drizzlepaw?” Jaypaw’s warm voice snapped her back into consciousness. She was back in her den, with the handsome gray apprentice looking down anxiously at her.
“Are you okay?” Jaypaw settled down beside her and wrapped his bushy tail around her trembling flank. His scent smelled so warm, so comforting. She had never felt comforted after Snowpaw’s death.
“I…I miss Snowpaw so much.” Drizzlepaw fought to keep her voice steady, but in the end she gave way altogether, sobbing. Jaypaw nodded, and Drizzlepaw knew that he understood her feelings.
“I know you are in sorrow right now, Drizzlepaw,” Jaypaw began awkwardly, but his voice grew more steady as he went on, “but life must go on. Find things that you love.”
“How can I love something else when Snowpaw is dead?” Drizzlepaw sniffed.
“Snowpaw won’t want you to live your entire life just worrying about her. She is safe now, in StarClan. She would be watching over you, running and hunting with my littermates.” Drizzlepaw winced as she realised that Jaypaw’s two sisters, Rosepaw and Brookpaw, were in StarClan now.
“Sorry for causing trouble,” Drizzlepaw muttered, but soon couldn’t help leaning on Jaypaw’s broad shoulders. His warm scent was almost making her attached to him like a squirrel and a nut.
“It’s alright, now, Drizzlepaw.” Drizzlepaw felt herself being lured into sleep by him. But her eyes fluttered open as she saw Snowpaw’s familiar outline, shimmering with stars. Snowpaw nodded happily. Drizzlepaw didn’t dare blink, in case she disappeared. Snowpaw just stood there, nuzzling her. “My time has passed, Drizzlepaw. It’s time for you to love something else.”
She knew that she loved Jaypaw. And she could now. She knew that her sister would approve.

  • Hmm… Okay! I’ll have to add Blade though! Buuuut! Let’s Begin! (Quick explanation: Our character is sharing a body and mind with another ‘paw (Bladepaw) because Starclan sent Bladepaw back, but didn’t have his body so he shares with Glitchpaw, and Glitchpaw was kittypet born, his owners gave him the name “Glitch” but his mother took him away to Thunderclan, he refused to have a different name, so he became “Glitchkit”, the father did not go, and did not want to raise the kit, fearing he would be a terrible father, but soon joined Shadowclan, dying in a battle shortly after, and heading into Starclan, but he refused to stay, he would stay to see his kit(s) become a warrior, but then he’d leave, because he didn’t deserve to be in Starclan, at least that’s what he thought, also the fathers name is Feather, I can write about him if you want! Shoot- one last thing sorry, Greyfox met up with Feather often, and became best friends while he was still a kittypet)

    ————————————————————————————-

  • (First part!)

We are a part of Thunderclan, Bladepaw and I! And our warrior ceremony will be today! Though our mother, Spiritpetal, is being a real pest right now! She keeps trying to make our white and black fur go down, it’s too fluffy to be licked down! When she FINALLY stopped licking us, I got us outta there! I began to talk outloud to Bladepaw “What do you think our warrior name will be?” ‘Hmm.. I dunno! Maybe.. Glitchheart! Or.. Bladefang!’ “I like Glitchheart better!” ‘Boooo!’ “Fine! How about Glitchfang then?” Nobody was weirded out by this, well, almost everybody! The new kits find it a bit weird, They’ll understand when they’re older! We heard an elder call for us, Greyfox! A lot of cats thought of him as a crabby old elder, who didn’t like anyone, but, we knew better! He just needed time to warm up, and guess what? We’re his favorites! I had us jog over to him, He touched his nose with ours, as a friendly hello! “Why hello you two, today you’ll be a warrior, right?” “Yeah! We can’t figure out what our warrior name would be though!” “Oh don’t worry, I made a suggestion..” “Really?! What is it?” “Oh what’s the fun in telling you two?” He had amusement in his voice, meanie!

  • (Part two!)

He laid down, and I had us join him, he began telling us our favorite story, when he was made into a warrior! “I was a bit older than you two, and I was out hunting with my mentor, when suddenly a fox sprang at us! It knocked my mentor down, and tried to snatch her up! I was enraged, I lunged at the fox, swiping it’s eyes with my claws, and chased it all the way out of Thunderclan! When we got back, the story was spread all around camp, and soon I was given the name “Greyfox” for my bravery” We enjoyed his story more then the last time, Suddenly the three of us heard the call! “Cats old enough to hunt, join me under the highstone!” Greyfox got up, We were already up but we waited and walked with him, the other cats seemed to soften a bit at what we were doing! I got us to the front of the highstones, we were excited. “Glitchpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?” “I do.” “Does Bladestar promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of his life?” ”He does.”

  • (Part three!)

“Then by the power of Starclan.. I name you Glitchblade!” The clan started to cheer our new name, “Glitchblade! Glitchblade! Glitchblade!” We were now Glitchblade.. Greyfox was cheering the loudest, fondness in his eyes, the name he suggested was perfect.. We rushed forward to him, touching his nose with others, the rest of the clan let us have our moment, backing up a little, Greyfox pulled away and licked the top of our head, unknown to us, our father was watching us, looking at his best friend, licking the top of his kits head. “Thank you, Greyfox” the white tom muttered, his scars from battles still showing, but he was at full power now, smiling now, he looked at the three again. “Thank you, Greyfox, for taking them in.. when I wouldn’t” The dead past kittypet, walked away, happily knowing his kits would have a father figure to be there for them.

I finally finished my story! It was really fun to write! 😀

    (PART 1)

    Pinestripe’s Friendship

Pinekit opened her eyes to the morning light streaming into the nursery.
“Today’s the day!” Cinderkit’s excited mew drifted from outside, “We’re going to become apprentices!”
“Aww, too bad we don’t get to be apprentices,” Lionkit, who was slightly younger, growled enviously.
Pinekit flicked her nephew lightly over the ear. “You will eventually,” she assured him.
Sandstorm’s tongue rasped over Pinekit’s back as her mother prepared her for the ceremony. “You’ll do great,” she murmured proudly.
Suddenly, the sound of her father’s loud voice drifted from the Highledge. “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the highledge for a Clan meeting.” The meeting had begun.
Pinekit stared out of the nursery, What if I mess up? Beside her, Honeykit was looking even more nervous, so Pinekit padded up to the tabby kit, relieved that someone shared her feelings.
“Let’s walk out side by side,” Honeykit whispered. Pinekit nodded and slipped out of the nursery, Honeykit pressing up to her flank as they neared the highledge, which towered high above them like a mountain.

    PART 2

Pinekit’s heart pounded as Cinderpaw, Poppypaw, and Molepaw went to stand next to their mentors.
She took a deep breath, knowing that she would likely be next.
Pinekit looked up at Firestar as he touched his nose to her forehead. His green eyes glowed with pride as he touched his nose to his daughter’s forehead. “Pinekit, from this day until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Pinepaw. Your mentor will be Rainwhisker.”
“My first apprentice,” The gray tabby tom padded up eagerly, his blue eyes shining enthusiastically.
Pinepaw stared up at Rainwhisker nervously, then, quickly and awkwardly touched noses with him. She hoped her new mentor would like her.
“Rainwhisker’s my uncle,” Honeykit whispered, “He’s really nice- I’m sure you’ll like being his apprentice.”
As Rainwhisker and Pinepaw went to sit with the other mentors and apprentices, Sandstorm padded up to them, her eyes aglow with happiness.
“I’m so proud of you, my kit,” she purred, giving Pinepaw a lick. Then she turned to Firestar, “Now that Pinepaw is so grown and independant,” she blinked at her daughter, “I think I’m ready to take on an apprentice.”
Firestar nodded and beckoned to Honeykit. “Honeykit, from this day until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Honeypaw. Your mentor will be Sandstorm.”
Pinepaw let out a purr. Her mother had an apprentice now. And it was the apprentice she felt closest with!
“Since you’re mentoring my niece,” Rainwhisker mewed to Sandstorm, “And I your daughter, how about we give them their first lessons together.”
“Yes!” Pinepaw gave an excited skip at his suggestion. She couldn’t wait to get to know Honeypaw better. She glanced at the light brown apprentice, hope fluttering in her chest. Maybe they could become close friends!

    PART 3

“This is the ShadowClan border,” Pinepaw gazed around, wide-eyed as her mentor told her about the territory. “This is where we put our scent marker, and this-” Rainwhisker pointed in turn to boulder, then a tall pine tree, “This is what you were named after,” he purred.
Pinepaw let out a mrrow of amusement. Honeypaw had been right- her new mentor was friendly and funny, and Pinepaw was beginning to feel confident training with him.
Turning around, she glanced at Sandstorm and Honeypaw, who were following close behind.
Honeypaw was gazing around curiously, wide-eyed as she took in the unfarmiliar territory.
Pinepaw padded up to her excitedly, then hesitated as she searched desperately for a conversation starter, her whiskers growing hot.
Glancing up, Honeypaw blinked at her inquiringly. Her blue eyes shone with friendliness. They looked just like Pinepaw imagined the lake looking.
    Pinepaw forced an awkward smile.
Sandstorm sniffed the air. “Looks like it might rain,” she mewed, saving Pinepaw from having to come up with something to say, “Come along, Honeypaw, let’s get back to camp.”
It was disappointing to see Honeypaw leave, but hope sparkled inside Pinepaw as she looked up at the misty gray clouds above her head, watching them cover the sky.
“Rain?” Pinepaw gave a cheerful bounce, “Oh- I hope, I hope, I hope!”
A raindrop landed on her nose and she licked it off. It tasted of freedom.

    PART 4

“I love the rain!” Pinepaw chatted as she followed her mentor back to camp, “It’s my favorite weather!”
“Oh, is that why you like being my apprentice,” Rainwhisker teased, flicking her over the ear with his fluffy tail-tip.
“No!” Pinepaw squeaked in protest, “I like being your apprentice because you’re a great mentor! But I do like your name as well,” she added.
Just as Rainwhisker let out a purr, the storm picked up and raindrops began to hammer everywhere.
“We gotta get to camp- now! Before the storm gets worse!” Rainwhisker yowled sternly, then his voice lightened, “Race me back- we’ll get there faster that way!”
He took off, slowing down once in a while to make sure his apprentice was following. Pinepaw felt increasing drops splash against her face as she pelted across the soaked grass, dreaming of overtaking her mentor and surprising him once he arrived after her.

“Alright, we’ll now do some battle training,” while Cloudtail adressed all the apprentices, Pinepaw’s claws kneaded the sand in the training clearing, which was soaked by yesterday’s rain despite the hot afternoon sun which shone above the trees now.
“Everyone pick a partner,” Pinepaw’s head shot up at the white tom’s instructions, excitement sizzling inside her. I’m going to wait for someone to choose me… she decided shyly, but please let it be Honeypaw!
Filled with nervous hope she looked towards the brown apprentice, then felt her heart drop as she saw her denmate asking to be with Poppypaw.
She dropped her gaze with disappointment, ready to go partner with one of the older apprentices, when Poppypaw’s apologetic mew drifted towards her, “I’d like to, but I’m already going with Cinderpaw.”
“Okay,” Honeypaw sighed, and began awkwardly looking around for a different partner.

    Part 5

This is my chance! Pinepaw jumped to her feet, her tail twitching with anxiety as she forced herself to approach Honeypaw. “Wanna go with me?” she mewed awkwardly.
“Sure,” Honeypaw blinked gratefully and the two walked over to a spot on the edge of the clearing, “Do you know how to do the move?” Pinepaw shook her head.
“Okay, I’ll show you,” Honeypaw mewed helpfully, “Lie down.”
Pinepaw sprawled out on the sand and Honeypaw demonstrated, leaping at Pinepaw’s shoulders and pinning her forelegs down. “Like that,” Honeypaw mewed, jumping back to stand next to Pinepaw. Pinepaw nodded, scrambling to her feet.
“Alright,” Rainwhisker curled his tail over his paws, “Get ready, get into position, get angry at your opponent…”
Honeypaw let out an amused purr.
    “And… Go!”
At the sound of her mentor’s yowl, Pinepaw sprung instantly, checking to make sure her claws were sheathed as she stretched out her paws towards Honeypaw and bundled into her side.
Honeypaw staggeded, steadying herself with her tail before swatting Pinepaw with a flailing forepaw.
As she raked at her opponent’s pelt, Pinepaw’s focus suddenly drifted to how soft Honeypaw’s golden fur was.
Then to how gentle and cautious her swipes were and how quickly she submitted… Honeypaw almost seemed afraid to hurt her partner.
Deciding she deserved a chance, Pinepaw went limp.
Spinning around, Honeypaw quickly leaped at Pinepaw, knocking her over.
The world around her whirling, Pinepaw landed with a loud plop in the sand, sending it flying at the mentors, who had been watching close by.
“I see why your name is Sandstorm,” Rainwhisker’s teasing mew and the sound of Sandstorm shaking out her pelt drifted towards them.
“Are you okay?” Honeypaw purred, loosening her grip as she gazed down at Pinepaw, her blue eyes half concerned, half amused.

    PART 6

“Yeah,” Pinepaw muttered as Honeypaw leaped off and helped her up with an extended forepaw.
“That was pretty good, Honeypaw,” Sandstorm mewed as her and Rainwhisker padded up, “A great example of using speed rather than strength.”
    Honeypaw purred with satisfaction.
“As for you, Pinepaw,” Rainwhisker shook his head, “You’re lucky Honeypaw is your friend.” There was a slight tease in his voice. “But you’ll have to learn to be more focussed.”
“I am lucky,” Pinepaw mewed under her breath, her tail sweeping up with satisfaction. She knew Rainwhisker meant that she was lucky not to have been fighting a real enemy since she’d lost so bad, but Pinepaw meant it differently…
She was lucky to have such a good friend.
