Marshburr –
Marshburr sat in camp, grooming himself. He didn’t feel like running at all today, despite what his rank told him otherwise. Sometimes I just want to hunt instead.
(By camp I mean the first camp, not the alternate one)
Slash of Vicious Claws –
Slash sat on top of a gnarled tree stump, surveying his Clan. Out go the corner of his eye he noticed a cat grooming themself, and he growled in frustration. “Marshburr!” He snapped. “When was the last time you were in the alternate camp?” I haven’t been there in so long… I hope the cats there are still loyal to me. Otherwise, I’ll have to take a little visit.
Marshburr –
His ears pricked up at the sound of Slash’s voice. “It’s been some time. I wouldn’t mind heading over there,” Marshburr meowed breezily, trying not to show his irritation with Slash already.
“Very well.” Slash meowed, pleased with himself. “Make sure to bring back some more cats. I have a feeling we’ll need to have more fighters, with the Tribe growing restless for new territory. We never know when they’ll try something.”
(rip FoxClan there are like no cats
watch as Marshburr parades back an invisible army)Marshburr –
He gave a brisk nod. "The Tribe has always been suspicious to me. We need more cats ready to fight in both camps, if you ask me."
The russet tom purred in agreement. “We need more of the cherished, to grow into proper trainees. Not like the softies we have training now.” Slash added bitterly, thinking of his good-for-nothing son.
Marshburr –
“Hopefully they’ll be whipped up into shape before long,” Marshburr meowed. “They won’t be ready for the battles to come at this rate.”
Tigerfoot (my evil childdddddd ) –
Tigerfoot swished his tail angrily as he walked around camp, watching cats groom themselves lazily. How could they sit around like lazy BriarClan cats when they could be training ! Not that he wanted them to get better, he needed to stick at the top if he wanted to be leader one day.
Nightleap purred at the angry trainee.
“Hey, Tigerfoot. How are you doing?” He stretched lazily, basking in the sun.
“If you want to train so bad, you could ask a highly trained,
and incredibly handsome, warrior.” He smirked, running a paw over his head.Tigerfoot –
Ugh. Nightleap. Of all warriors who could have approached him, it HAD to be Nightleap. But, only a fool would turn down the opportunity to train, and granted, Nightleap was a fully trained warrior in a well respected squad.
“I suppose it would be good to get a little more training in, whilst everyone else are being lazy badgers. “
The FoxClan cat decided that calling other cats BriarClan cats, might not go down well for his reputation
“Should we head to the training clearing ? I don’t think any cats are there right now ?”
Nightleap blinked in surprise. He didn’t actually expect the trainee to say yes.
But he didn’t want to train with him, he was super ambitious and annoyingly angsty.
But he’d also seem stupid if he took back his offer.
“Err, um, sure. Let’s go there.”
Emberfoot –
Emberfoot ran her tongue down the length of her leg. Foxclan was the best clan, there was no doubt. But all these cats trying to be leader were just going to weaken the clan by fighting. Who cared about being leader when it could be taken away easily? Suddenly her ears pricked up when she heard Nightleap and Tigerfoot getting ready to go training. Her ember-like eyes shining, and she stood up, stretching each leg.
“I’ll join you two, if you don’t mind.” she purred. “I could use the practice…”
Nightleap let out a breath of relief.
“Yes! Yeah, you can join us!” Nightleap trotted out of camp, holding back a small purr.
(He just gets bad vibes from your evil son Maple😛)
(Everyone gets bad vibes from the evil child….. except Emberfoot basically 😛 )
Tigerfoot –
Tigerfoot smiled slightly at Emberfoot, before nodding at Nightleap
“Lead the way, I can’t wait to show you this move I’ve been working on !”
The reddish brown tom kept walking next to Emberfoot as they headed to the training grounds
(Oof Nightleap just like…. ahhhhhhhhhh noooooooo)
(He a lazy boi)
Nightleap trotted into the training ground, turning to face the two other cats.
“Alright,” Nightleap crouched into a defensive position, “What was that move?” The Black tom curled his tail around his hind paws, ready for the trainee’s move.
Emberfoot –
Emberfoot cocked her head as she sat down. Watching Tigerfoot intently, she smiled.
Tigerfoot –
Tigerfoot grinned. He’d been working on this move forever !
Getting himself into what looked like a bit of a lazy battle stance, his haunches were too unbalanced, and his tail was completely relaxed, Tigerfoot put all his energy into one paw strike, which as he had expected, toppled him over onto his side in a smooth motion that would help him dodge another enemies blow. Twisting and rising to his paws in one slick movement he had been practicing for nearly a moon now, Tigerfoot kicked out at a tree, his current enemy, with his back foot. Using the strength from that hit, he shot forwards, and twisted around in the air to face Emberfoot and Nightleap
“How was that ? Did I look weak enough at the start ? Did it fool you ?”
Tigerfoot mostly looked towards Emberfoot for approval. Nightleap was an average warrior, she was probably as good as him if not better
(Oof there is a strong dislike of Nightleap here)
Darkmoon stared quietly as cats groomed themselves. Nightleap was taking Tigerfoot to train. I suppose I can go spy on BrookClan. She walked silently to the border, where she bathed in a stream to get rid of her scent. Shs saw a hunting patrol. Darkmoon crept around them. She made sure no cat saw her as she got to camp. There was tension between the deputy, Brookripple and two cats. Then Brookripple snapped something like “you two go hunt,” then stalked off towards the entrance. Darkmoon noticed the prey pile was small.
She ran back towards FoxClan, catching a mouse along the way. Darkmoon reported to Slash. “BrookClan,” she told him. “Brookripple had an argument with two other cats. Something about hunting. They have it worse than we do when it comes to prey.”
Slash of Vicious Claws –
Slash turned his attention away from Marshburr for a moment and grinned. “Obviously, their deputy isn’t doing well in her position.” He ran a thoughtful paw down the side of his scarred face. “Maybe we can take advantage of that… what do you think, Darkmoon?”
Darkmoon thought. “Maybe not yet. It wasn’t too much of an argument. We should wait until there’s more tension between them.” She whispered to herself “besides, we could beat ’em any day.”
“Make sure to keep a close eye on them,” Slash advised. “And then when a larger problem arises, they won’t even be able to put up a fight.”
Darkmoon nodded. “I will.” She slunk over back to the shadows and started eating her mouse.
Burrfoot –
Burrfoot crouched in the shadows, carefully plucking the feathers from a blackbird. He sighed. Earlier in the day, he’d fallen while training. His punishment was to pluck all the feathers from every bird in camp. Overkill, in his opinion, but it wasn’t like he could argue. Besides, there had been worse punishments.
Peachdapple-
Peachdapple trotted up to Slash. “The Tribe is boring,” she muttered. “They never do anything. Well, a kit is being ‘Discovered’ tomorrow, but I don’t see how we could use that to our advantage,” she finished, guiltily hoping that her leader would agree.
Slash of Vicious Claws –
The russet tom purred, a deep rumble in his chest. “At least their silly little religion and ceremonies keeps them too occupied to actually do anything to increase their hold on the territories.”
“Except for BrookClan, of course,” Peachdapple laughed. “They’re so focused on stealing territory from those starry-eyed fools that they won’t go near any other land. All as the Great Hawk commands,” she finished, rolling her eyes. In the back of her mind, she felt the anger of her spirit animal radiating through her, filling her with guilt. Sorry, she thought.
“BrookClan believes that they’re stronger than they actually are, and that MoonClan is protecting them. The Tribe believes they have the entirety of Nature at their backs. Both are arrogant bee-brains. The only group that has a chance of rallying against us is BriarClan, but they’ll be destroyed from the inside before that’ll ever happen,” Slash reasoned. “FoxClan is strong and safe.”
Marshburr –
Pricking his ears up, he overheard the conversation between the two cats. He had to agree; the Tribe was quite boring. I’m not sure whether MoonClan or their religion is more stupid, He mused. But at least FoxClan cats don’t have to worry about “MoonClan” or “Nature”, or some stupid mouse-dung like that. It’s why we’re stronger than them- we focus on honing our skills while they sit around playing kits’ games.
(Oh wait I just realized that Marshburr is non-binary oh dang it-
is it obvious I just made my characters on the spot yet)Darkmoon heard Peachdapple, and agreed. They were so lazy. She wondered why FoxClan was even afraid of them when she was young. Well, they were mysterious. The culture was weird and ridiculous. Probably even more than that MoonClan nonsense.
Nightleap blinked at the trainee.
“That was… impressive.” He noticed the tom looking mostly towards Emberfoot and pouted.
“But it probably wouldn’t work in a real battle. Other cats don’t stand still in a real fight.”
(He’s so bitter 😛)
Tigerfoot –
Rolling his eyes at Nightleap, he mewed
“Well obviously I thought of that, I’m not stupid.”
“When your on the ground you can roll into position, and get up so quickly that when you hit again they won’t expect it ! And when you leap through the air, you twist around to face wherever they are. Even the youngest apprentices know how to twist like that .”
(I formally apologise for salty child who will never accept that he is wrong )
Emberfoot –
Emberfoot smiled slightly. “I think we can both calm down. Tigerfoot, that was amazing. I’d love for you to show me how to do it sometime. I’m sure we could also figure out a way to adapt it so that it could be used the way you did it and in the middle of a battle. Nightleap, technically, every technique is useful in some way to the clan and can be used to make us stronger. We should try to know as much as we can. Every technique. Every strike. It all helps Foxclan.”
Emberfoot’s eyes moved between Nightleap and Tigerfoot, lingering for a moment on the latter.
“Nightleap do you have any moves you’d like to show us?” she said, trying to placate the bitter tom.
(r o m a n c e)
(W h y d o y o u d o t h i s)
Nightleap huffed, and fluffed out his fur.
“I’m… still working on this.”
Nightleap sat on his haunches, wrapping his tail around his back paws, leaving less areas for an enemy to grab. He darted his paws out, before leaping and twisting to kick at his invisible enemy’s side, and landing a little less gracefully than the trainee.
“It was a really good move you did. I took some inspiration from it, I didn’t know how to land in a way that allowed me to fight again.” The Black tom brought a paw over his head. “So… thanks… I guess…”
Vixenfoot dug her claws into the ground.
She was getting bored. She wanted to train sometime soon. Vixenfoot padded over to Burrfoot, another trainee. (I think 😛 ) “Hey you, wanna forget your punishment at train?”
Usually she didn’t train with toms, but she couldn’t find any other she-cats around the camp at that exact moment.
Burrfoot –
“U-Ummm…” the tom stammered. “I don’t know if my fa– I don’t know if Slash would like that.” Burrfoot usually hated training, but he would do anything to train instead of this current humiliation. But he knew what would happen if Slash found out, and they weren’t good things. Plus, Vixenfoot scared him.
She sighed. “Okay. Well I’ll help.”
Vixenfoot wouldn’t usually do that, but she REALLY wanted to go out, and on her own would be no use.
Oof yay I can finally see my comments before they’re modded 😛 !!! (Edit time I mean lol)
“T-Thanks…” he stammered. “But you don’t have to. I can do it myself.” He began plucking the feathers in what seemed like an agonizingly slow rhythm. Vixenfoot’s bright amber eyes burned into him. “Okay, fine,” he sighed. “But don’t let Slash see you helping me.”
Darkmoon noticed cats were going to train. She decided to go practice her stalking skills. Darkmoon was lacking in her tree climbing skills. She found a tree and began pulling herself up, branch after branch. Darkmoon got to the top, and looked around. Apparently, she had chosen one of the tallest trees, so she could look out onto other Clan territories. She thought she saw the small, faint outline of BrookClan camp. This would be perfect, if I get on a tree closer to the borders.
(I just realised . . .
“She decided to go practice her stalking skills. Darkmoon was lacking in her tree climbing skills.” 😛)
