A way that I think people should help save the earth is reuse. Sure recycling is clever but reusing is crafty, fun, and helps save the earth! For example, if you see an empty plastic water bottle you can paint cute little designs on it and use them as decorations! You can also buy recycled paper instead!
Yeah reusing is better than recycling, even though recycling is wayy better than things going to the landfill, a lot of energy is used in all the processes to turn it into a new product.
That’s great! Thanks, Reedpaw! 😀
Reusing is for sure better than recycling. Only about 9% of trash in the recycling bin actually gets recycled, sadly.
Oooh this page is super cool! 🙂
I think it’s really important to reduce the impacts of global warming as much as possible. Unfortunately, loads of people don’t even seem to realise the situation and this is not helped by governments pretending it’s nothing so they can make as much profit from unsustainable companies as possible. 😛 I think the English Government said they were going to be carbon neutral by 2030 which is too little too late in my opinion.
Thank you!
Yeah, 2030 does seem pretty far away. Why start later when you can start now?
I heard some other politician say once that it’s too late to stop Global Warming anyways so why even try, which is crazy, it’s not too late, but it’s gonna be if they face it with an attitude like this!
When my family ran out of paper towels we had to use small rags instead, so that gave me an idea of switching to reusable rags and towels to use less paper! 😀
That’s awesome! 😀 Go Pine! <3
When my friend comes over we reuse a lot of tissue boxes, bottle caps, packages, labels, and other stuff to make little model houses for our toys. It’s lots of fun, and it turns things that would otherwise be thrown away into something beautiful! 😀
That’s really brilliant and creative! I’ll definitely do that more often from now on!
My chickens help my family waste less food- whatever vegetable, fruit, egg, or wheat scraps we don’t finish the chickens will enjoy the next day. 😀 <3
We also have a compost bin for peels and older scraps. 🙂
We used to feed meat-based scraps to our dog Jessa- she loved it and it was good nutrition for her. I really miss her, but I'm thankful that on top of protecting us and being there for us throughout her life she also helped us produce less food waste as a family. <333
Cool! We feed things like carrot peels and stems to our guinea pig. He loves them and is super happy and enthusiastic to do his part in protecting the planet :3
Jessa sounds like an amazing dog. I’m sure she’s very happy and is still telling lots of stories about her awesome family to all her doggy friends.
A compost pile is really useful, and a great idea to make! <3
Having a garden -even a small one on your balcony- is a nice way to help the planet! Plants are woinderful for the Earth- the more of them the better- and growing some of your own food helps to make sure it’s produced responsibly. 🙂 <3
A brilliant idea! <3 Some small planets, flowers, and herbs can even be grown indoors 🙂
What kinds of planets do you have?
I adore the egg brand Vital Farms- they’re kind to their hens and they’re also kind to the Earth! <3 They won the Environmental Excellence award in 2018 for protecting trees, having good stormwater management practices, and supporting endangered pollinators. 🙂

That’s amazing!! Vital Farms is the best, and their products are really good! You can tell how much love and thought they put into caring for the environment and their animals. I love the little newspapers they include in their egg cartons!
Yay for Vital Farms!
Try switching out items in your house to reusable ones!
Plastic straws- Metal or rubber reusable straws. Work just as well and are much better for the planet!
Plastic water bottle- A metal one works just as well! Metal bottles can even help keep your drink cool in hot weather, and you can even customize some bottles with pens and paints.
Plastic bags- Beeswax bags! They are good for the planet, help bees too, and keep your lunch or snack safe!
Can you think of any more plastic items you can switch out for reusable ones? How many of these objects do you already have?
Bees are actually really important for the planet! They support the growth of trees, flowers, and other plants, which serve as food and shelter for creatures large and small. Bees contribute to complex, interconnected ecosystems that allow a diverse number of different species to co-exist! But sadly lots of bees are dying due to habitat destruction, global warming, air pollution, etc. Bees are really important in our world so…
Save the bees! 🐝💖
Bees are wonderful! <3
I love this sweet story: <3 I'm so glad there are people who are kind to them!

I suggest watching Blue Planet 2 if you haven’t already! It’s a really good documentary about the oceans. The animals in it, the wonderful hidden places under the surface, and how pollution is affecting it.
Planet Earth is really good as well! <3

When we go on hikes my family often picks up trash we find along the way. Taking a large bag is a good idea, just in case there’s a lot of trash to collect.
That’s a wonderful tip! 😀

It’s incredibly environmentally friendly, which was their biggest goal alongside chicken welfare. <3
