    She was there. She was really there. Sunny’s own mother, standing right across from her.

    “Oh, Mama.”

    “My daughter.” purred her mother. “I’ve waited a long time to see you.”

    “So have I.”

    Sunny’s mother began licking and nuzzling her, and Sunny felt like a kit. She listened to her mother’s soft words.

    “I would’ve waited a thousand lifetimes to see you.”

  • Loki and Fang watched cats reuniting with previously dead (or thought dead) family, friends, mates, kits. Loki knew no one but Fang would trust him, not while he carried the power of the so-called “gods”. But this new world… maybe this world needed a few immortals. To keep it in check. To stop the wars that, unfortunately, were sure to occur. To stop the new clans from destroying this world, as they had the last. To stop another “god” like Harnor from creating something like the Tests again.
    “Fang.” Loki whispered. “I am immortal now. Powerful. I can make you the same.” He paused. “Would you accept this gift? The curse of immortality?”
    “We will guard this world forever,” was her response.
    He remembered how his family had Named him, had Gifted him these powers. He was Loki, the Trickster, the Messenger Raven, the Watcher, the Healer, the Outcast, the Avenger, the Fallen Star. His family had given him gifts, too. As a leader gained lives in the stories of the old Clans.
    “I give you the gift of shadows and sight,” he murmured. “Of knowledge, wisdom, benevolence, and understanding. Of love, life, and freedom.” He touched his nose to her forehead. “I name you Fang, the Warrior Queen, the Leader of Nations, the Protector, the Harbinger of Justice.” She gasped as power flowed from him into her. “In these names, the power of the immortals is yours.”
    A flash of pure light blinded them both.
    When Loki opened his eyes, he saw that Fang had grown wings, mirror to his own. When she opened her eyes, the grey was lined with a silver ring around the pupil, as his eyes were. “Woah,” she murmured.
    “This is the dawn of a new world,” Loki purred. “You and I will be it’s protectors.”

    Sunny breathed in her mother’s scent, knowing it was something she would remember forever.

    “Do you want to stay here?” asked Silver.

    Sunny thought for a moment. She could stay here, with her family, but there was something she had to do. She felt a calling of sorts. And that calling was at the place where all her friends and the other cats were.

    “I have something to do,” she mewed. “But I promise that we will be a family again. I will be back soon.”

    And with that, Sunny left.

  • Fun fact – I was going to kill off Eclipse using Pebble’s sleep breath. Eclipse would be exhausted from fighting so much, and she would be lying on the ground in exhaustion. She knew that if she fell asleep she would die, and she was waiting for that final breath but it hadn’t came for a little over a day. Eventually, she called Pebble (lvl 3) over, and asked her to use the sleepy breath on her. Pebble reluctantly obliged, but instead of Eclipse’s eyes closing ti darkness, she closed her eyes and saw her mate, her brothers, and all her dead family, including her mother. She would be happier gone in the stars than lying around.
    And Pebble would’ve felt guilty, but happy at the same time.

  • Oh wow. I’m back, I suppose. I haven’t been here in quite a while, and all of those feelings are coming back up again. Mostly regret. I regret lots of things. I regret not being more active, I regret not immersing myself more into the Tests, I regret killing Sunny off, I regret leaving.

    Whoever’s out there, whoever’s reading all of these archived posts from so many years ago, I wish you good luck and happiness in your life. We’re all in this together. And please don’t read any of my posts, they are very very cringy.

    • I cannot even begin to count the amount of times I’ve looked back and thought, “Why did I do that? I was so stupid. What was I thinking?”. I did a lot of dumb things, partially because I was new to roleplaying and Blogclan in general, and also because I was a bumbling idiot who REALLY liked Sonic the Hedgehog.

      Point is, when I came back here to relive the Tests, and I saw some of my older comments, I realized that I was beating myself up for no reason. I had fun. I made memories that will last forever. What more could I ask for?

      If I could go back, and do it all again, I don’t think I’d change anything. (although, I’d actually reply to current comments and not comments that are three pages back, and I would have talked to Palm more, but that’s besides the point) I’d keep the unnecessary name change, the questionable backstory, the dubious character arcs (pun intended) and the poor decision making that was my downfall.

      Yep. I’d even keep the emeralds.

      So as we go into One More Chance (again) just know that it could very well be the last time we get to do something like this. So no matter how many times you think you’re failing, keep going. Make friends. Have fun. Look on the bright side and don’t let your self doubt get in the way, just keep going and I promise that when you look back, you will see the ride of a lifetime.

      And you will regret nothing.

      • You know, Arc / Chao was always one of my favourite characters to see, because I could tell you loved roleplaying him. And do you know what ? I bet you don’t even check here anymore, but I’ve worked the emeralds into the lore. Slowly but surely I’m working everything everyone did that confused me, and slightly messed with the rules into the lore.
        You know why ?
        Because I wasn’t the one who made the tests what they have become, it was every single person who worked with me, and had fun rping their characters, who loved the story and who kept it going even when I wanted to give up
