  • Welcome to my role-play, Trials of Ether!

In this role-play, your cats have died. Yep, dead from the very beginning. All of these cats have committed a crime when they were alive somehow – mayhaps they humiliated a deity. Or murdered without planning it. Will the one mistake ruin their chances in the afterlife? Or will they prove themselves worthy, and find their way into their Elysium after all? The Trials of Ether is where they can prove themselves worthy – by overcoming a series of challenges and obstacles. Shall we begin?

Let’s just go through some role-playing rules:
Only control your own character. You cannot control the actions of other characters.
    All normal Blog rules apply.
You must sign up and wait for me to approve of your character before role-playing.
    My word is law 😉

And of course, like the Tests, powers!
There will only be 3 basic levels of each of the 7 powers. Each level is retained even after levelling up (if you’re level 2, you still have level 1 powers in addition to level 2 powers, and level three has all three).

    Fire

    1. Using your voice, you can command fire to appear, grow, and disappear within 2 tail lengths of you. You are more resistant to heat, and your own fire cannot hurt you.
    2. You can now command your fire using your thoughts as well. Your range has increased by 5 tail lengths.
    3. You can create a ring of fire 10 tail lengths around you. You can create little minions with your fire that can attack with its’ own thoughts.

    Water

    1. You can manipulate water (that already exists in liquid form). You can swim faster and hold your breath longer.
    2. You can now draw moisture from the air and turn it into liquid form, and vice versa. Your pelt is like that of an otter’s – water does not soak into your fur and weigh you down.
    3. You can turn your water into ice. You can breathe underwater.

    Wind

    1. You can manifest powerful winds that most cats will struggle to move against.
    2. You can fly, and you can purify the air around you.
    3. You can create mini tornadoes, that might lift a cat off of their feet.

    Nature

    1. You can make plants (eg. flowers, bushes, trees, etc.) grow taller and stronger.
    2. You can communicate with other species at will, and you can summon either 1 mammal OR 100 insects.
    3. You can now summon snowfall, although only flurries – not blizzards.

    Energy

    1. You can control light waves. You can make simple illusions and temporary blinding lights, as well as smaller light spheres.
    2. You can control heat waves. You can create balls of concentrated heat and light to throw telepathically.
    3. Your illusions are very authentic. You can control heat to make air currents (up and down drafts, since heat rises), which may create clouds and rain.

    Electron

    1. You can create small sparks, as electrons jump from one object to another. You can pass through solid, unmoving, objects like a ghost (as you electrons move from one dimension to another, and back).
    2. You can summon lightning if there are clouds overhead.
    3. You can create elements and chemicals by fusing atoms together – with this power, you can create small chemical explosions, as well as poisonous (but not fatal) gases that will make a cat uncomfortable if they breathe it.

    Enchanter

    1. You can, by reciting a poem, turn objects into something else.
    2. You can, by singing, deal direct damage (think of it like deadly sound waves).
    3. You can create protective force fields and make things fly (things can include other cats, but not yourself). These still need to be done in poem form or sung to work.

    Power Neutral

    1. You can neutralize powers of any one cat around you (around ten tail lengths). This means that they will no longer be able to use their powers.
    2. You can neutralize powers of any 3 cats around you.
    3. You can neutralize powers of any 5 cats around you.

    Levelling up!
To level up, you must make some fanart or fanfiction!
    To level up to:
Level 2- Draw your character (goodly), or write a 300 word fanfiction of their past life, or anything about them.
Level 3 – Draw your character and any other one (1) or more (2+) characters, or write a 500 word fanfiction.

You can only level up once per every two trials!
If you have any feedback you’d like to give me, please do so on the question page (the cake).

You can now go to this page to create a character!
