  • If you are in the Games:
Today was the reaping. At the gathering, Tigerstar yowled, “Cats of all Clans! Welcome to the reaping for the first annual Warrior Games! We will now begin the reaping.” Once he got to your clan, he began calling names. So far, none of your family had been called, but your thoughts were interrupted when he called… You! Legs trembling, you walked onto the Highrock to join your Clanmates. When the Reaping was over, you were ushered into a small cave, and a rock closed over the entrance. You waited.

If you are not part of the Games:
Today was the reaping. At the gathering, Tigerstar yowled, “Cats of all Clans! Welcome to the reaping for the first annual Warrior Games! We will now begin the reaping.” Once he got to your clan, he began calling names. So far, none of your family had been called. Your mind wandered, and before you knew it, the Reaping was over. Most of you loved ones had been spared.

Now you can talk with others while you wait

  • Blackripple sat in a corner, her blue eyes flashing. What would happen? At least her family and friends were safe.

Dewbranch started trembling. Why must’ve it been her? She didn’t want to kill anyone. Dewbranch looked for someone to talk to. A friend would be good.

Harebreeze struggled to part with his brother. At first, he wanted to be chosen, but not anymore. He would have to leave Gorsesky, and he might never come back. “Goodbye,” Gorsesky whispered. “Don’t do dumb things. I’ll be watching over you, and I have complete faith in you.” They touched their bracelets together and Harebreeze unwillingly walked towards the cave.

  • Silversun paced the cave and eyed her competition. She didn’t want friends, that would just make everything harder. All she wanted was to win and get back home.

Brambleflurry was shaking uncontrollably. He had to either kill someone, which sickened him, or die, which terrified him. It wasn’t a smart move, but he needed to talk to someone and watched the other cats, praying a few were nice.

  • Feathersplash-

Feathersplash held her breath when Tigerstar started calling RiverClan cats’ names. She felt relieved that neither she nor any of her family had been chosen – until he called for Petalstream. Feathersplash whimpered and turned to her sister. Petalstream whimpered, but took a determined breath. “Feathersplash, I have to. I…I’ll never forget you, whether I’m dead or in VictoryClan. I love you.” “Farewell, dear sister,” Feathersplash replies. “Stay safe.”

    Petalstream-

Petalstream waited in the cave, determinedly not showing her despair. If she lost the games, she’d die. If she won, she’d still never see her sister again,

  • Moonsong~
Moonsong to sit down. If someone came to her, okay! But if they didn’t, that was fine to.

    • Skyfire –

“Moonsong!” Skyfire screamed, running up to her sister, panic in her eyes. “No…no…this can’t be happening! I can’t lose you! We’ll find a way. I’m sure we will! We have to find a way to get us out of here!”

      • Moonsong~
Moonsong heard her sister’s yowl. Trying not to show her despair, she said, “I have to. I’ll win, and when I do, I’ll convince them to let you join VictoryClan.” As the cats from the dark forest dragged her away from her sister, she yowled with desperation, “I love you, Skyfire”

        • Moonsong –
The despair in her sister’s eyes was too much to bear, and she whispered a final goodbye as her littermates was dragged away.

“I love you Moonsong. I’ll always love you…”

  • If you are in the Games-
The boulder covering the entrance rolled open, and blinding light filled the cave. Tigerstar yowled “Now it is time for interviews. Mapleshade!” Mapleshade slunk out from behind him. “Mapleshade will be interviewing you so that we can get a sense of you.”
Maple shade was interviewing the cats, as you watched, with mounting anxiety. Then your name was called (You can give a description of your interview)

If you are not in the games, you watch the interviews through a viewing pool

    • “Maplewind!”
*hold your head up high* Maplewind reminded themselves. they strolled over to Maple shade and sat down, only slightly anxious. *finally! the attention i’ve always craved*
“what a coincidence! we have such similar names!” Maple shade started
      *ha ha.* Maplewind thought
“so, i heard you willingly volunteered”
      Maplewind nodded their head
      “why was that?”
Maplewind considered that for a moment, then answered
“i never knew who my parents were and i learned to fend for myself until i found shadowclan. i’ve always felt like the runt, the loner, and i’m determined to prove myself worthy by volunteering for the games.”
Maplewind heard a couple of gasps from the audience.
“okay… do you feel prepared for the games?” Maple shade responded.
Maplewind responded with a curt “yes”
      Maple shade nodded.
      “thank you Maplewind.”
Maplewind quietly slipped away and sat back down in the shadows.

    • Blackripple took a deep breath when she was called up for the interview. She walked, tall and strong, towards Mapleshade. She wanted to make an impression.
“Blackripple, why do you think you would win?”
“I’m half-Clan, RiverClan and ShadowClan. I have the strengths and abilities of two Clans, not one. I’m good at fighting, and hunting.”
Mapleshade nodded and sent her back inside the cave.

      Dewbranch shakily padded forwards.
“Scared one, I see. Not going to survive long, I know.* This made Dewbranch yelp, along with some gasps from the other cats. “Why do you think you’ll win?”
“I – I’m s – s – smart and think before I act. I don’t fight, and that can get me some friends that will work with me.”
Mapleshade flicked her tail, ordering Dewbranch to go back. She followed orders and stumbled back inside.

Harebreeze sat down in front of Mapleshade.
“Why do you think you’ll win?”
“I’m quick and not afraid of following my instincts. I know lots of cats will help me, like my brother.”
      Mapleshade sent Harebreeze back.

      • In the Games-
Now that interviews are over, it is training time! You are brought into a room where the GameMakers (Tigerstar, Hawkfrost, Mapleshade, Brokenstar ) sit , and told to display to them your skills that will help you in the Games. What do you do?

        Watching from the Clans-
        Nothing happens yet

        • Leopardfang looked all around her, seeing all of the things that she could do. She knew that she wouldn’t have any need to train in fighting or tracking, as she was already top notch, being loved and favored by the Dark Forest. She decided that any extra hunting skills needed could wait till later. Right now, she would have to… *Sigh* I’ll have to learn about healing herbs to heal wounds or sickness, and learn what other things I can eat. To put herself in a better mood about it, she imagined the blood running down her claws when the games started, destroying her enemies and winning the games. The memory that there were weapons to use reminded her that she could learn new fighting ways, ways that she never knew before. She knew that the other cats had no chances against a Dark Forest favorite and a half clan cat, with skills from ThunderClan and ShadowClan.

          • (I just realized this is a time to show off skills, oops, I’m changing it to this;)
Leopardfang smiled up at the Gamemakers, and they smiled back. She nodded as Hawkfrost yowled, “Now Leopardfang, We’re sure you won’t disappoint us, but still. Show us your skill.” She nodded and asked, “Do you have a way for me to show off my fighting?” The judges smiled again as they nodded. Leopardfang bared her teeth, growling at the cats being used to show off her skills on. She recognized one of the tests as her sister, Wolfkit, or now though it was unknown to Leopardfang, Wolfcloud. Brokenstar exclaimed, “Now, show us your fighting skills on these tests. You’ll be given one at first, and the difficulty will increase with each one defeated, no breathing time.” She nodded, taking on the first cat, a normal sized ginger tabby tom. He ran and tried to scratch her, but she dodged all the attacks. She eventually got onto him and after that, there were two cats attacking her, the tom’s body picked up now. She knocked away the first cat, and clawed the neck of the other one. The first cat was moaning, and the second was dead. She clawed the first cat’s neck, and the next cats came. This time it was two large heavy she-cats. They both tried jumping onto her, but she was too quick, kicking away large chunks of flesh and fur for both of the cats one at a time until they both collapsed. Finally the last cat was Wolfcloud. A smile creeped onto Leopardfang’s face, and she had no mercy with her sister. It took little time before Leopardfang was licking the blood off of her paws. The Gamemakers were all cheering, clearly excited about her. “Brilliant, just brilliant!” Squealed Tigerstar and Mapleshade before they composed themselves. They cleared their throats before saying, “Thank you Leopardfang, and may the odds be ever in your favor.”
(This was supposed to be like how the Capitol has all this fancy technology, and it’s supposed to have a lot to do with what this is based on.)

        • Maplewind gazed across the training grounds and patiently waited for their turn.
“Maplewind,” meowed a voice from above.
They looked up and saw Brokenstar peering down at Maplewind, his stern demeanor slightly intimidating.
They got up and padded to the edge of the Training Grounds. Maplewind narrowed their eyes at the whimpy tom standing in front of them. With a swing of their paw, Maplewind struck the cat’s neck and killed him instantly.
*Hmm, he didn’t even try to defend himself*
Maplewind heard a rustle behind them. They deftly lept away just as a sturdy she-cat hissed and lunged at Maplewind. Quickly turning around, Maplewind slowly backed up and crouched down, ready to strike. The calico cat leaped again and clawed at Maplewind’s coarse pelt, giving them a nasty graze. Maplewind howled in anger and sprung into action, slashing the she-cats eyes and biting down on her throat, leaving her dead. Maplewind noticed Tigerstar had a look of what seemed like pride on his face. Maplewind licked the blood off their claws and continued onto the next test.
*Well, if I really want to impress the GameMakers, I could show off my hunting skills* Mapleshade thought
“Is it possible for me to also demonstrate my hunting skills?” They asked the GameMakers. Hawkfrost thought for a bit, than agreed
With a flick of his tail, two skinny tom cats walked over to the perimeter of the Training Grounds, where they revealed a mini-field with trees and a river. Maplewind licked their lips and stealthily creeped up to the field, where they detected the rustle of a mouse. With a deft leap and a quick swipe of their paw, Maplewind killed the mouse and brought it to the middle of the Training Grounds.
“Amazing!” Exclaimed Tigerstar. Maplewind bowed their head and walked back to the waiting room.
*I think I did pretty well* Maplewind thought
*Sweet revenge* Maplewind purred at the thought of finally proving every cat wrong. Maplewind will finally show the Clans what they’re made of.

  • Moonsong~
Moonsong was not sure what to do, until she noticed the fighting dummies. She dragged one out to the center, and “killed” it it in 3 seconds flat with a special sneak attack that no one would see coming. Then she showed off her knowledge of edible and healing herbs. “Thank you Moonsong, May the odds be ever in your favor.” Said Tigerstar, dismissing her.

  • ~Darkfang~
She stalked around the edges of the room, not letting the cat she was hunting know she was there. When she was close enough, she pounced, landing on the cat’s back. Before they could even react, she bit down in their throat, killing them. Just like a rabbit, she mused. Everything is prey in these Games. When another cat leapt at her from behind, she twisted under them and slashed their belly, tearing them open as they soared over her. They hit the ground and didn’t get back up. With the fighting part over, she quickly ran through a list of herbs and their uses, knowledge she’d collected just for a situation like this. After all, the Warrior Games was everyone for themselves. You couldn’t count on someone else to lick your wounds. She finished reciting the herbs, then continued with the various ways to dispatch an opponent. When she completed the list, she stood silently, waiting.
“Thank you for the demonstration, Darkfang,” Mapleshade purred.
“Yes. I can see that we chose correctly,” Tigerstar added. “You are dismissed, and may the odds be ever in your favor.”
Darkfang bowed her head respectfully, then turned and walked proudly back to her quarters.

    ~Ravenshadow~
The wait before the Games began was always torture. But this year, his only littermate, Darkfang, was part of it! He wasn’t sure he could watch her die, not when there was nothing he could do. But he didn’t have a choice. Viewing of the Games was mandatory, he’d be killed by Tigerstar’s soldiers if he didn’t obey. He couldn’t help but worry about Darkfang. Was she doing well in training? Had she impressed the judges? Had she made friends? He hoped she hadn’t made too many enemies. It wouldn’t do her good to be targeted right away. He knew she was smarter than that. She’d be fine. She’d do better in the Games than he ever could.

    ~Pebbleshard~
He stood before the judges, unsure of how to prove his skills. Surely there was something he could do! Then he saw the river. Someone had redirected a river into the training room. Of course! He darted over and slipped silently into the water. He could see cats, cats that had to be training dummies of some sort, patrolling around the edges of the room and river, waiting for something to attack. Something to test. He swam silently upstream, only coming up for the smallest of breaths before diving back underwater to stay hidden. His silver-grey pelt blended in with the rocks on the stream bed, and his tabby markings helped complete the image. In water, he was practically invisible. When a dummy-cat stepped close to the edge of the river, he lashed out with a paw and dragged them in, holding them underwater until they drowned. Then he left the body, weighted down by stones, and carried on. He dispatched all of the dummies in a similar fashion, pulling them into the water where his RiverClan training gave him the advantage. He also demonstrated his hunting skill by catching a large fish that happened to swim down the redirected river. Then he listed off the few herbs he knew the uses for, the ones that grew by rivers of course, and what prey he could find near rivers and how best to kill it.
“Thank you for your most interesting demonstration,” Tigerstar told him. “You are dismissed, and may the odds be ever in your favor.”

  • Leopardfang remembered that if she needed any more things that she had to learn if she wanted to win, she would need to train. To put herself in a better mood about it, she imagined the blood running down her claws when the games started, destroying her enemies and winning the games as she looked around at all the other cats. She knew that they were all her enemies in this, and knew a strategy that would work out well for her, though she didn’t think too long about it, fearing that another cat would realize what it was. The memory that there were weapons to use reminded her that she could learn new fighting ways, ways that she never knew before. She knew that the other cats had no chances against a Dark Forest favorite and a half clan cat, with skills from ThunderClan and ShadowClan.

    • ~Darkfang~
She spotted the Dark Forest favorite, Leopardfang, sitting by herself. She knew the she-cat would be a valuable ally in the Games, but her ruthlessness and cruelty knew no bounds. Darkfang had no doubt that if she allied with Leopardfang, the other she-cat would betray her before the Games were up, but it wasn’t like there were many other options. The other cats she’d seen were mostly prepared for the Games, barring a few weaklings, but Leopardfang was the obvious first choice, and Darkfang’s best chance at getting close to winning. Taking a deep breath, she approached Leopardfang. “Greetings,” she purred. “I was wondering if you’d be interested in an alliance.”

      ~Pebbleshard~
He saw a ShadowClan shecat — Nighfang? no, Darkfang — approach Leopardfang, the Dark Forest favorite and one of this Games’ few volunteers. Darkfang was obviously trying to ally with the other she-cat to get an advantage against everyone else. Pebbleshard smiled to himself, admiring her initiative. He knew the value of an alliance with others, but he also knew that anyone he allied with would probably betray him when it got closer to the end of the Games. Just to be safe, he wasn’t going to seek out an alliance unless someone else approached him. He watched Darkfang and Leopardfang from a distance, wondering how this conversation would play out.

[ICEPAW please have Leopardfang respond to Darkfang in some way]

[Whoever wants to interact with Pebbleshard can do so]

      • Moonsong~
Moonsong saw a Riverclan tom (Pebbleshard) sitting alone, and went up to make conversation. “Hi, I’m Moonsong. What’s your name?”

      • (Don’t worry, I was completely planning on responding)
Leopardfang smiled sweetly and purred, “Wow, sure. I can be in an alliance with you! We’ll dominate the competition, I’ll tell you everything you need to know to survive and win, and we’ll both make it to VictoryClan! Just do as I say, I know what I’m doing here.” Leoparfang has her whole strategy planned out, knowing what to do in the games. Darkfang would be a good ally.

        • ~Darkfang~
She smiled in response. “Of course, Leopardfang,” she agreed.

          • Leopardfang nodded. “Well, first of all, do you know about healing herbs and stuff? And do you know about other edible things? If so, then we should practice any hunting that both of us don’t know.”

  • Darkriple stalked over, waiting to begin. A few moments later, a muscular tom appeared from the bushes and leapt at her. Darkripple hissed and ducked. As the tom flew overhead, Darkripple lashed out a paw and pulled him towards a pool of water. She doing herself in, dragging her opponent with her. Darkripple dove underneath the water and leapt out again, landing on the cat’s back. He flailed at the sudden weight and trying to get Darkripple off, but she held on. She ended the fight by biting the tom’s neck. Satisfied, Darkripple began paddling back to shore where Hawkfrost gave her an approving nod.
With her second test, Darkripple quickly caught two fish. She then started stalking a mouse. It was focused on a seed, and the wind was blowing from the mouse towards her. This’ll be an easy catch.
But just as she was about to jump, the wind changed direction. The mouse froze and twitched it’s nose. Squealing, it scrambled back to its safety in the rocks. But Darkripple intercepted it and snapped the mouse’s spine.
Darkripple padded back to the main area. Tigerstar blinked happily and said “good job, Darkripple. You are dismissed, and may the odds be ever in your favor.”

(I’ll do the others later, I have to go to bed now)

  • ~Darkfang~
    [RESPONDING TO LEOPARDFANG]
“I made sure I learned a lot about herbs, just in case I was drafted into the Games.”

    ~Pebbleshard~
    [RESPONDING TO MOONSONG]
“I suppose,” he purred. “After all, two is better than one.”

      • Pebbleshard purred. “As a RiverClan cat, I have many skills relating to hunting in and around water, which can apply to other cats once we’re inside the Games. And my pelt makes me practically invisible underwater.”

        • Moonsong~
“Alright, I am good at climbing and fighting, and I know a lot about herbs because I trained as a medicine cat for a little while.” Moonsong said, a purr rumbling in the back of her throat.

    • Leopardfang nodded slowly. “Ok, that’s good. Now, what prey do you know how to catch? I can catch birds, mice, frogs, newts, lizards, voles, and other stuff in ThunderClan and ShadowClan.”

      • Darkfang twitched her tail. “I grew up in ShadowClan, so I can catch birds, frogs, newts, lizards, mice, and voles. I also learned to catch fish at the lake in my free time. And I know quite a bit about herbs.”

        • Leopardfang nodded as a sudden tired feeling came over her. Shaking it off, she sighed. “I guess we’ll have to learn about how to hunt maybe larger birds, bats if we need to, water shrews, what bugs are edible, and maybe some other things that RiverClan and WindClan hunt. Then I’ll learn about herbs so we’ll both be good.” She nodded as she felt herself get more tired. What in the name of the Dark Forest is going on?
(I thought that in this time they wouldn’t use StarClan phrases unless it was an insult.)

          • “Bats are just like small birds, but in caves, right? And water shrews just live by a river. Bugs should be easy, they’re small but they’re not fast enough to get away from a cat. Hawks and stuff might be an issue, but if there’s two of us we can bring one down easily enough. Oh, and I can teach you about herbs if there’s stuff you don’t already know.” Darkfang released a large breath. “That was a lot.” Noticing that Leopardfang looked a bit tired, Darkfang tilted her head. “Are you alright?” She asked tentatively.

            • Leopardfang nodded slowly. “Of course. I just think the excitement it making me tired. And yes, I would like it if you taught me about herbs. We should practice large birds like hawks though. Less risky if we practice.” Though she did feel that something was wrong. She wasn’t usually tired, and she had been fully rested. It’s probably nothing. I’ll be fine in the games.

              • (I don’t know anything about herbs but let’s pretend Darkfang teaches Leopardfang about herbs)

                • (Ok) Despite the fact that Leopardfang was now tired most of the time and that she felt like she was getting plumper, she was still glad to be in the games. She now also knew the herbs. She listed off the herbs that she had learned from Darkfang. “…Borage for fevers, and it gives queens extra milk. Horsetail for infected wounds. Poppy seeds to put cats to sleep and to ease pain. Alder bark for toothaches.” She nodded, pleased with what she had learned. But I’ll bet there’s no herb to figure out what’s happening to me.
