Sliverthorn argues why Ashfur would’ve been better for Squirrelflight than Brambleclaw.
Moonsong~
Moonsong turned to Pebbleshard and said “Two less enemies…”
Pebbleshard nodded, thought he silently grieved for the two dead cats.
Moonsong~
“I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I just wish this could happen without anyone having to die..” Moonsong said, wishing had the right words to explain her feelings. “I’m torn, because every cat that dies is one less that we personally have to kill to make it out, but every cat that dies is also one more innocent life lost to the Dark Forest.” Then Moonsong covered her mouth and gasped, realizing that this rant would not put her into favor with the cats of the Dark Forest, and possibly make them want to kill her.
(Dun Dun DUNNNNN)
“You can’t say that!” Pebbleshard hissed. He glanced around, hoping no one had heard. “Come on, we have to keep moving,” he murmured worriedly as he herded her upstream.
Moonsong~
“I know, I just wish…” Moonsong said. Then she padded up and whispered in his ear, “I don’t think there’s anything they can do to me, and hopefully they weren’t watching us.” She said. Then she realized that if the cats of the Dark Forest tried to hurt her in the arena, Pebbleshard would probably get hurt to. ‘I can’t let him get killed!’ She made a vow not to let him get hurt.
I’m just gonna pop in because I created my character kind of late
Winterwish-
Winterwish lashed her tail. She was feeling uneasy. “Two less to deal with… I guess…”
~Darkfang~
“Leopardfang, I’m going to go hunting. Anything specific you want me to look for while I’m gone?” Darkfang asks. She waits patiently for Leopardfang’s response. It may be her imagination, but Twistkit seems to twitch when she speaks, as if trying to follow her voice. As she waits for Leopardfang to speak, she has a thought. If she kills Leopardfang now, while she’s weak from kitting, it will eliminate the cat who may very well be her biggest threat later on. Her claws unsheath, sinking into the dirt. Then she shakes her head, clearing the thought away. No! If she kills Leopardfang, she’s condemning the kits too. These kits are innocent, they don’t deserve to die just because their mother is in the Games. Darkfang sheathed her claws and glanced at her companion. “Well?”
~Twistkit~
The she-cat, the one that isn’t Mother is… going hunting? Hunting… hunting… food! She’s going to find food for herself and Mother. Twistkit smiled to himself. Good. Mother’s milk is food for me and Maplekit, but Mother can’t give us milk if she doesn’t have food of her own. “Very good, Twistkit,” Spiritkit murmured. “You’re very clever. You’ll have to be, to survive here.” Twistkit purred quietly.
~Ravenshadow~
He watched through the viewing pool. So much had happened in the past few sunmarks! Darkfang had survived the bloodbath, but now she was being dragged down by this she-cat, Leopardfang, and her kits! He’d heard Leopardfang name them Maplekit and Twistkit. He’d also heard Darkfang rename the dead kit to Spiritkit when she’d buried him. What was she doing? Trying to protect these kits was going to cost her life! How was she supposed to win if she’s so worried about Twistkit, the one she seems most attached to? Ravenshadow growled. “Get your act together, Darkfang,” he hissed at the pool, not caring if other ShadowClan warriors heard him. “You have to win. Kill Leopardfang while she’s weak. She’ll be your biggest threat later on!”
Leopardfang purred. “I’d like a vole if you find one. They’re very tasty. If I don’t have milk for these little ones, they’ll go hungry, and they’ll die.” She licked her kits, and nodded.
Maplekit heard the two she-cats nearby them talking about… food… and her mother’s milk… She tried to nurse and her belly was filled up. She bristled her thick coat when a breeze came up, glad for it.
Darkfang nodded. “Alright. I’ll see what I can do.” She padded off quietly, scenting the air for prey. After walking for a bit, she freezes, hearing rustling leaves. Crouching, she stalked towards the sound, then pounced. She landed square on the vole, snapping it’s neck. “Perfect.” She buried the vole under some mint plants and continued on.
~
A sunmark later, she returned to the camp where Leopardfang and the kits were waiting, carrying the vole and a squirrel she’d caught after. She set the vole in front of Leopardfang, then settled down in her own nest and starts eating her squirrel.
Twistkit smelled the prey… the one in front of Mother must be the thing called a “vole” that she’d requested. The other… “A squirrel,” Spiritkit informed. Squirrel and vole… what other kinds of prey are there? Twistkit wondered. “Many,” Spiritkit replied. “But you’ll learn that later on, when they’re teaching you how to hunt. They’ll have to do it eventually.” Twistkit huffed. Why would they teach me to hunt? With my leg, how would I learn anyway? “You will,” Spiritkit told him, sounding very sure of himself. “You will…”
Leopardfang ripped pieces of flesh from the vole, chewing and feeling her kits nursing. She thought about their lives and the games.

~Pebbleshard~ (Continuing with Moonsong)
Pebbleshard tilted his head at Moonsong. “Don’t be so worried. The only cats that heard you can’t touch us in here. The worst they can do is make us run into other cats, but that’s going to happen anyway. Plus, if one of us wins, they can’t do anything to us. We’ll be fine.” He poked her with a paw. “Come one, cheer up a little. At least we survived the bloodbath, right? Everything from here on out will be a breeze.” He nudged her in the direction of upstream. “Lets–”
Suddenly, the wind changed. Pebbleshard sniffed the air. “You smell that?” he crept out of the river toward a raised bit of dirt. “I think someone’s here,” he whispered.
~Darkfang~ (Continuing with Leopardfang)
Darkfang froze. “Did you hear that?” She hissed, shoving her squirrel to the side as she crouched. She whispered in Leopardfang’s ear: “I think there’s someone in the stream.” She crept to the edge of the ditch, debating whether she should risk raising her head. Then she realized the direction the wind was blowing. “Whoever it was already knows we’re here, they can smell us,” she said under her breath. I have to make sure Twistkit and Maplekit are safe. We can’t let the other cats know there are kits in the arena! “Here goes nothing.” With a calculated leap, Darkfang launches herself out of the ditch.
~Pebbleshard and Darkfang~
Pebbleshard yowled in surprise as a she-cat– Darkfang, from ShadowClan!– lauched herself out of the ditch and bowled him over. He kicks at her belly, but she pins him easily. Obviously, she’s much more skilled than he is.
Leopardfang gasped and pulled her kits closer. She licked their heads and whispered, “You two stay here,” as she put a small stone on one of each of their paws. She jumped out, teeth bared and growled, “You two pieces of crow food better get away or I’ll shred your insides.”

(To PEBBLESHARD)
“I’m getting sort of hungry. Do you think we should go hunting now?” Moonsong asked pausing mid step

Pebbleshard yowled in surprise as a she-cat– Darkfang, from ShadowClan!– lauched herself out of the ditch and bowled him over. He kicks at her belly, but she pins him easily. Obviously, she’s much more skilled than he is.
Moonsong~
Seeing that Pebbleshard was in trouble, Moonsong leapt at the ShadowClan she-cat, clawing at her ears. Then she smelled something. ‘What is that smell?’ Moonsong wondered. Then, suddenly, she realized. “Pebbleshard, we must leave!” She leapt off the ShadowClan cat, and tried to pry him from under her. ‘I’m not positive, but I think there might be kits here, and I can’t hurt kits, even now.’ Moonsong thought to herself.
Darkfang growled and dodged the she-cat’s blows, but paused when she saw her hesitate. Did she smell the kits?
Pebbleshard scrambled to his feet. “What? Why? She attacked us!”
Leopardfang gasped and pulled her kits closer. She licked their heads and whispered, “You two stay here,” as she put a small stone on one of each of their paws. She jumped out, teeth bared and growled, “You two pieces of crow food better get away or I’ll shred your insides.”
Pebbleshard gasped and stepped back. The she-cat was scary, but… she looked tired. And… Pebbleshard took another step back. What was that? She… her scent reminded him of the nursery queens… she had kits with her! “Let’s go,” he hissed to Moonsong. Then, louder, he said to the two hostile she-cats: “We don’t want any trouble. Just leave us alone, and we’ll leave you alone.”
Moonsong~
“Okay, good.” She said softly to him. Then raised her voice so the she-cats could hear, “Yeah, we’ll leave.”
Leopardfang tentatively put a paw forward and pulled it back. It would be too much of a risk for her to die. “Fine,” she growled. “But if you come back here, we won’t hesitate to kill you,” she finished as she walked back into the ditch, keeping an eye on the cats behind her.
Pebbleshard padded quickly away from the hostile she-cats, crossing the stream and continuing deeper into the forest. He hoped Moonsong was following him.
Darkfang watched them go, then jumped back down into the ditch to check on the kits. She saw that Twistkit was mewing, and seemed scared, so she licked him on the head to comfort him.
Twistkit didn’t know why Mother and the other she-cat– “Darkfang,” Spiritkit whispered– were fighting. Then he realized: they weren’t fighting each other, they were fighting other cats. Then the other cats left. Mother and the other she-cat came back to the nest. Darkfang licked him on the head, and he purred.
Leopardfang took the stones off the kits’ paws and put them behind her. “Looks like these kits may give us an advantage,” the sleek-furred Golden She-cat purred.
Maplekit felt the stone pulled off her paw and she started nursing again. She pushed Twistkit away and felt Mother’s tongue on her. She could tell that Mother liked it when she was putting herself first. She was proud of herself and continued nursing.
Moonsong-
(To Pebbleshard)
Moonsong padded after Pebbleshard.
When they were out of earshot she said “Did you smell the kits?”
I am leaving for the next 5 days. I give Bluefire (and only Bluefire) permission to role play Moonsong
Pebbleshard nodded. “I did. It’s a bit concerning, to be honest. Other cats might target them because of it.”
(hopefully all the mods get that message~)
Moonsong~
“Yes. I hope the kits make it out somehow, to be honest. They are so young
Pebbleshard frowned. “Yes, but the only way those kits make it out is if one of those she-cats wins. Unless…” He shakes his head. “This is a crazy idea but… maybe we should ally with them. That way, if any one of us wins, we can save the kits.”
Moonsong~
“Hmmm… I wonder…” Moonsong said.
Pebbleshard twitched his tail. “I doubt they’d accept our help though… we’ll have to figure out a way to approach them.” He glanced at the herbs they’d gathered. “Maybe we can offer them some herbs? I didn’t smell many when we saw them the first time…”
Moonsong~
Moonsong was quiet while she thought this over. “That’s a good idea. Although, I doubt they would accept our charity. We need to make it seem like we get something out of it -a compromise- , or they won’t except.” She said eventually.
Pebbleshard nodded and started thinking about ideas.
I’m leaving now. Bluefire, you and only you, may role play Moonsong.
And The Warriors Games are dead
Moonsong~
(Replying to Pebbleshard)
“What if we ask to firm an alliance, and tell them that it is because we feel unsafe with just the two of us, and thought they might feel similarly.” Moonsong suggested.
In the Games~
You realize that now is when they project the dead in the sky, and look up. You see the faces of Dewbranch, Harebreeze, and Leapleg, which means that they have died.
Watching From the Clans~
You look in the viewing pool, and find that three cats, Dewbranch, Harebreeze, and Leapleg have died.
Leopardfang gave a pleased purr. The cats were falling, their chances of winning going up.
Darkfang grinned. The more cats died, the more likely it was that the kits would survive.
(Darkfang feels a lot of responsibility for these kits daaang)
Leopardfang got up for a moment, needing to stretch her legs. She looked around as she deemed it safe, as she couldn’t smell danger, no cats or dogs or badgers or anything.
(I lost the link and came back to find two characters dead oof)
(I swear I made a post for all of them a few weeks ago but it dissapeareeeeeeeeedd)
Gorsesky let out a shrill cry. “Harebreeze!” he yowled into the sky. His brother was dead. Now it was just him and no one else. Everyone who he was close to was. It was just him now.
Stormsomething purred at the face of her enemy in the sky. She had payed.
Darkripple flicked her tail. Three less enemies. She weaved through bracken until she came to a deep place in the the river. She splashed forward until her back was underwater. Then, Darkripple looked down and spotted four silver darts in the water. She thought it was fish, but just as she was about to plunge her head in to catch them, she noticed it was a reflection. Darkripple peered up at the sky and spotted some eagles swirling above. That meant they saw a fish. From all the birds gathering around, preparing to dive, it seemed like a good hunt. She couldn’t miss out on lots of prey. So, she swam to where eagles were diving at almost lost her rhythm because a plethora of things shot past her legs, tickling. Thinking quickly, Darkripple lifted a paw with claws unsheathed, feeling the throat of a fish. It seemed huge. Darkripple paddled with her catch onto a flat rock jutting out of the water and laid her catch on it. Then, she went back and got three more fish, slightly smaller. The rock was small, but big enough to lay down her catch and splay out in the sun. Plus, in case anyone wanted to kill her, it was hard to notice at just a glance, because the choppy gray water, stone, fish, and her pelt were all close in color.
Pebbleshard~ (to Moonsong)
“Good idea,” he responded. “But how to approach them? Those two are trouble for sure, and they were ruthless in training.” He pondered for a second. “And with cats like that, it might not be best to imply that we think they’re weak.”
Moonsong~
“What if we just go up to them and explain everything? I mean, it seems sort of crazy, but it might work.” Moonsong said, pondering the idea.
Thunderblaze padded out of the bush, he remembered what Mapleshade had said, “You’ll win,” she snarled, as she snuck him in. “You’ll make our bloodline great again! You will not fail me!” He shivered, and looked around. He saw Leopardfur, so he padded over, “H-hi!” he mewed, “Please don’t kill me! I just want to make Mapleshade proud!”
(Do you mean Leopardfang? 😛)
Leopardfang growled, but stopped a little bit. “If you really want to make her proud, you’d leave me alone and not come back.”
