Claimed!!! This picture is soooo cute!!!
Lorka walked pricked her ears in alarm and barked, “Humans!” She darted around the ravine and gathered all of them.
“Where?” Nightshade growled, then sniffed the air, “Close to camp?”
Droplet looked worried for a sec.
Lorka ran over to Nightshade, “They’re close,” she said urgently. “I think we should evacuate camp to keep everyone safe, then we can scare the humans off.” She suggested. “What do you think?”
“Fine by me,” Nightshade growled.
~Sasha~
“Humans?” she asked.
“We can’t be here when those things are around, My pups could be hurt” she meowed.
“Humans?” Flutter barked playfully, rolling around, “Can I see? Please! Please!”
~Sasha~
She turned to her pup.
“No you cannot, they could be dangerous hunters” she meowed
“H-hunters?” She stammered, “What if they hurt me?” She cried dashing to her mother.
~Sasha~
“No one will let that happen” he said reassuringly
Flutter nodded, making loud breathing sound, she was terrified
Lorka glanced at Flutter, “You get to go on a trip out of camp with your mother,” she said, trying to make it seem like a good thing. “Either me or Nightshade will lead the way, and then, the other one can get rid of the humans.” She looked at Nightshade, “It’s your choice which.” She said.
“I’ll get rid of them,” Nightshade growled.
“Are we sure it’s safe?” Flutter fretted.
Lorka nodded, “Come on, I’ll make sure you’ll be ok.” She said to Flutter. She barked in surprise as a human ran into the clearing and grabbed Flutter by the scruff, “Time to go!” She growled roughly, nudging Sasha toward a gap in the trees. She glanced back at Nightshade with a small nod, her eyes saying everything.
~Sasha~
“If you follow our orders very closely and listen to every word we say, then no harm will come your way” her mother reassured her.
Flutter barked in surprise and looked at her mother, fear in her eyes.
Nightshade growled, and stalked up to the humans, slashing one with her paw. The human made a shriek, and three others ran over to help it out.
Four down, two to go. she thought, snarling.
She bit one human’s paw, and bit the ankle of the other. She stayed put, in case there were more, but she handled all in sight.
~Sasha~
She gripped Flutter by the scuff and made a dash for it, to a little crevasse in a hill. squeezing in, she glanced worriedly at nightshade.
Lorka watched Sasha closely, not wanting to accidentally leave the queen behind.
Misty padded out, her head low. “I’ll stay with Sasha,” she offered.
Lorka nodded gratefully and took the lead, guiding them to a safe place in the hills close by.
“where will we go after this, Lorka?” tiny asked looking at Lorka with interest.
Nightshade trotted after them, and steadied her pace same as Lorka’s.
“Home,” she growled, “I scared the humans off.”
but won’t they just come back?
“They won’t be coming back for a while,” she reassured, growling.
Flutter looked up at her mom, “But what if they do?”
