The seventh edition of the Blog Monthly is here – written by Lil, fresh off the printing press Hello, everyone!! The Blog Monthly is back and better than ever! I hope you all love this edition, in my opinion it is one...
Spiritflight and Coralpaw discuss ships from the series.
Fallowpaw defends Appledusk.
Snowkit felt a sharp pain in her paw.Is it thorns again?Dont tell me Sunkit got stuck in a thorn bush again. She thought. Then she fully woke up and remembered that she snuck out of camp.
She sat up and gave her dark gray pelt a quick grooming,to the point that she was pretty her that her only white paw and white belly have never been so clean in her life.
She suddenly realized the sky was bright blue, not the darkness it had been when she got there.
Uh,how long was I out?She wondered. Then she realized she didn’t know where any of her Clanmates were.
‘Willowpaw?Reedpaw?Freepaw?Rainstripe?Jaystar?WHERE ARE YOUUUUUU’
Snowkit yowled.
No reply.
Now Snowkit REALLY didn’t know what to do.Should she stay there like she was always told to do when she got lost?Or should she take chances and start looking for them herself?
Well,I have no battle practice at all besides the ‘bite paw when held down’ trick Stormshadow taught me,and the few basic moves Silentstrike did.
Eventually,she couldn’t take it anymore,and started looking.
Then she fell into a giant hole.
Reedpaw was on the edge of breaking down.
For one thing she lost Snowkit, which meant she was probably the LEAST RESPONSIBLE cat around.
For another thing, she was being attacked by a dark forest cat, and was failing MISERABLY at even hitting him
For another thing, she was doing something called “over-worrying”.
It was when she worried too much and broke out in panic attacks.
So her current situation, was breathing heavily, and fighting a dark forest cat, who DEFINITELY wasn’t ugly, but he was EVIL.
She was very close to running away and falling into another hole that took her BACK to BlogClan.
She didn’t like this place.
Well,if we’re being honest here,no one can actually watch Snowkit without losing her.Im very elusive😀.
Lol, true 😛
Snowkit suddenly saw a relatively tall bush.Perfect.
She waited for a second before climbing on top of the bush. Then leapt out of the hole.
She was trying to find BlogClan scent, but as it rained while she was stuck, there was no chance to do that now.
She went over to the gathering island and curled into a ball near the tree, defeated.
Snowkit was tired, impatient, and 5 times more disobedient than ever before.
5 days had past since the gathering. She still wasn’t back home.At this rate, she figured she’s only got a couple of days left until her apprentice ceremony.
That is,if they even let me become one.Snowkit knew she was wayyyy undersized for her age.The two moon old kits were the same size as her.And constantly sneaking off, even if it was out of camp only three times, probably didn’t help either.
Why AM I so disobedient? She wondered. This was actually one of the first times she questioned it.I gotta watch my behavior if I ever want to be a respected warrior.
Purely out of habit at this point, she sniffed the ground, hoping to find traces of where her Clanmates went, not really expecting anything to happen at this point.
Then,suddenly,she smelled a familiar scent.Reedpaw.
She followed it until it led her right to the camp barrier. She knew she only had a few more steps, but her paws felt like they were on fire. She flopped down. Its good to be home. She thought.
And,her white paw bleeding and the rest of herself stained with mud,Snowkit fell asleep, a smile on her dark gray face.
Honestly, Reedpaw had no idea what to do.
So she just landed a final blow on the not-ugly-but-evil-dark-forest-cat in front of her.
Then she ran.
She didn’t stop.
She ran and ran and ran, til she burst into tears and went to cry by some trees.
She couldn’t take this anymore.
So she stayed there.
Snowkit walked into camp and flopped down, ready for whatever scolding she was gonna get.Sje knew she’d deserve it.But her gut told her she might still be against it.’ Thats what being disobedient gets u.Ur independent, dislike being told what to do,and probably annoying.DO BETTER,you undersized kit!Ur gonna be a warrior someday! At least act right!’she scolded herself
Poisonkit,Sunkit, and Twixkit will never let me hear the end of it.Well,Sunkit ate moss soaked with mouse bile once,Poisonkit litterally got stuck in the roof of the Warriors den,and Twixkit is named after a Twoleg treat according to that one kittypet who got naming rights. They can’t really say anything without that being used against them.
But what if they’re already apprenticed? Its been 6 days. We’re old enough now.
Also, what if they didn’t even care?Im an stubborn, troublesome kit who always goes missing. What if they’re actually glad to get rid of me?I heard Frostheart say I should be renamed Troublekit all the time.Granted, she was rude to everyone, but still.
She sat down several tail-lengths away from the apprentices den, waiting for one of her clanmates to return to camp and decide what happened to her.
Willowpaw raced out of the battle, exhausted and bloody. SO. MANY. CATS. had died in the battle. Her heart ached for Dovepaw, the medicine cat apprentice who had had almost no battle training, whose throat had been ripped out by Frostheart. (TRAITOR!) She was terrified that something like that would happen to her. She knew StarClan was supposed to be amazing, but she was honestly afraid of death. She stumbled into a destroyed camp, searching for a remaining scent of life. Snowkit’s scent came from the nursery, strong and fresh. Willowpaw dashed into the opening, collapsing with relief that the kit was okay.
“Snowkit?” she nudged her, and the kit sat up. “Are you okay? Have you seen anyone else from IceClan?”
‘Willowpaw?’ Snowkit asked.
‘Yeah,I’m fine’ Snowkit replied, while licking blood off her shoulder and twitching her recently torn ear.The dark forest cats tried to come again.Snowkit couldn’t sleep soundly anymore. She was pretty sure she delayed them, but still scared.
‘You should get some cobweb or something. You kinda need it’
‘No,I’m sorry.I just found my way back by following Reedpaw’s scent, but no one was there, not even Reedpaw.I don’t know’
‘I did smell Twixkit once tho,but I can’t find her.She might be dead’
Reedpaw took a deep breath. What are you DOING Reedpaw she asked herself, you’ll never become a warrior if you keep breaking apart and whining all the time!
“You’re right myself” she said to herself “I can do this! Now let’s go find Snowkit! And let’s stop talking to a bush!… Bye bush”
Then she ran towards what she assumed was camp to try and find Snowkit
Snowkit suddenly remembered something important. She forgot what it was,but it was important,so she suddenly ran out of camp, colliding with Reedpaw in the entrance.
‘Oof’ was the only word she was able to say before falling backward, but then Snowkit sat up with a mischiveous grin.
Reedpaw shook her head shaking her dizziness away, which she quickly replaced with a relieved smile.
“There you are!” she said to Snowpaw.
‘Yep.Me is here.’ Snowkit said,grinning.
‘Have you seen any of our Clanmates?I saw Willowpaw at some point but no one else. What about you?’
She replied.
Wait, imma be an apprentice in…..a couple of hours,if I’m lucky.
Aaaaaaaaaah so exciting.
Reedpaw smiled
“You will be won’t you?”
Then she nudged her playfully “And then, you’ll finally be legally allowed to fight in the battle. Well no you won’t but still.”
‘Really? In that case, you’re illegal because you were fighting there too and you’re a paw’
Snowkit replied,still excited.
Reedpaw laughed
“True! But then again, i never said they knew I was fighting there either!”
Snowkit’s eyes were shining. She was finally going to be an apprentice. No more sneaking out of camp to hunt or fight battles,no more staying in camp feeling useless. Finally an apprentice.
Willowpaw woke up. She was in the nursery surrounded by the smell of death and Snowkit. She sprang up when she realized the kit was gone. She ran out of camp, following the scent trail. “Snowkit!” She was standing with Reedpaw. “Reedpaw! You guys are okay!” Willowpaw was crying. “I thought everyone died.”
Reedpaw glanced worriedly at Willowpaw “Don’t worry! Not everyone is dead! Most people probably aren’t dead! We aren’t dead! We’ll survive this! The dark forest can only be so evil!”
“I really hope you’re right,” Willowpaw told Reedpaw. “I guess if an untrained kit can survive, why not most warriors?” Her voice softened. “Did you see Dovepaw? I can’t believe how evil the Dark Forest is.”
‘Yea’ Snowkit murmured quietly, much unlike her usual happy-and-feisty self.she glanced down at her paws,no longer excited. The image and the other news kept replaying in her mind, almost making her lose the ability of being aware what was going on.
Oh my gosh I have missed so much (I’m staying reading now and will prob finish in an hour Lol)
*Starting
Rainstripe tracked the scents he was smelling one lead back to the clearing with DF and clan scents. He followed that trail and came to the gathering place. He looked around, and gasped as he saw the cat lying in front of him, he stubbled back gasping with horror, Jaystar lay dead in a pile of leaves. He looked around the clearing he saw so many dead bodys Dovepaw, Darkswipe, Flamepaw, Grasstail from Iceland lay dead, Jaystar too. He looked away and threw up, the stench of blood and death rotted in the clearing he looked at Jaystars body again … was that a twitch of the whiskers? He ran over to Jaystar, Jaystar gasped and sat up. Rainstripe sighed in releaf “your alive” he said to Jaystar. “Yes I am” Jaystar said his gaze flashed across the clearing and finally settled on him, “Starclan told me that the Dark Forest caused this, and that you and a few others trained with them, they also said that the cats that trained there must be punished slightly, who else trained in the dark forest?” he asked, “Me and Willowpaw” Rainstripe said glumly staring at his paws. “I must get back to camp and reorganize” Jaystar said. He ran off up the mountain to Iceclans camp. Rainstripe tracked another sent, then realizing that he didn’t have a physical body he still looked like a Starclan cat with no stars. He found Willowpaw, Reedpaw, and Snowkit.
‘Wait,Rainstripe,is that you?’
Snowkit observed as the tom came toward them.
“yes” he said “it’s me, but Dovepaw, Darkswipe, Flamepaw, and Grasstail are all dead” Jaystar lost his 5th, 6th and 7th life, Jaystar also said that Starclan wants the clans to slightly punish the cats who trained in the dark forest, at the emergency gathering that is going to happen tomorrow.” (Btw this isn’t like the thing that happened with Ashfur, Starclan actually asked all the leaders to slightly punish the cats who trained there at the emergency gathering that is happening on the next day, also, Reedpaw, are you still in the starclan-but-with-no-stars form or did you get your physical body back?)
‘They’re not the only cats who are dead.’
Snowkit replied sadly.
‘Stormshadow is dead too.And Twixkit can’t walk now.Its permanent. She’ll have to live with the loners now.And Poisonkit drowned yesterday. So many cats are gone now’
‘Wait,I can come too this time, right?im supposed to become an apprentice at sunset today,so I can technically come, right?’
She asked.
*Iceclan
“Rainstripe?” Reedpaw said in disbelief.
“Rainstripe?” Willowpaw’s eyes were as wide as the moon. “I thought you died! Wait, you did. I saw your body. You’re a ghost?” Her expression looked haunted.
there was a rustling sound in the bushes near Willowpaw.
“Huh?” she said, turning around.

P.S.: I told you they would be nice and say hi! These people are great! 😀
blogclan.katecary.co.uk/emberclan/

Hi-llo! 😀
blogclan.katecary.co.uk/emberclan/
Haha, I say Heyloooooo, or eylooooooo, or ellooooooo or hei
Heyyooo
“I guess I am like a Starclan cat, but with no stars” Rainstripe said
Reedpaw (can I change myself to Raypaw?), frowned at him “There must be a way for you to come back to life!” but then she smiled “But I guess its good that you are a StarClan cat! :)”
“Is it though…?” Willowpaw asked skeptically.
(Yes, Raypaw, if you want to change your name, you most certainly can!)
blogclan.katecary.co.uk/emberclan/
Raypaw half shrugged. “If he’s um not alive at least he’s not a Dark Forest cat. You’re right though. He shouldn’t be dead in the first place.”
‘Agreed’ the newly-named Snowpaw replied.
‘Being unalive isn’t great, but it’s better to be a StarClan cat than a dark forest cat’
She noted, twitching her short white paws.
Raypaw nodded, then half smiled “Hey! You’re an apprentice now! That’s great.”
Snowpaw responded with a likewise half-smile.
‘Yeah,it’s great. But there’s too many cats who are dead.I wonder how anything will ever be the same.
“I don’t think it ever will be,” said Willowpaw sadly.
Raypaw nodded sadly. The clans would never be the same again.
Snowpaw nodded along to the older apprentices nods.
‘But at least we can try to become good warriors so it gets better, right?’ She asked, raising her head higher and trying to look taller
Raypaw just looked down at didn’t reply. How could she be a better warrior if she couldn’t even fight without freaking out?
Snowpaw sat down next to the other apprentice as well. She guessed what Raypaw was thinking.
‘At least you kinda know how to behave. You don’t get in trouble twice a day for backtalking or running off.I honestly wish I knew what I was doing.im just a reckless, shortlegged apprentice that doesn’t listen.’
“No! You’re a great apprentice. I’m sure whoever will end up mentoring you will really like you!”
“Thank you’
Snowpaw whispered sadly
Raypaw half nodded.
A sharp yelp escaped Daykit’s throat as her eyes flew open. She was gasping breathlessly as if she were running from twolegs, but she was just in a hot spring. It was nice. She rolled over and purred before realizing something. She was in the Dark Forest, but she knew this was a dream. She could feel the presence of the outside chill, but first she wanted to know what was going on. Daykit pulled back and leapt over the short cavern wall that housed the spring. A crack formed on the ground, but Daykit didn’t seem to mind, al least until she heard a rumble. “Huh?” she squeaked, turning around. But it was too late, all the ground from underneath her collapsed. Daykit sprang to the side with the spring, but she knew it wouldn’t be safe. She gulped and jumped for her life, and she thought she was safe. Not until the jagged rock sliced her paw open. She slightly slipped from the blood and fell to her demise. Wake up.. she thought, Wake up! I’ll die and loose my soul if I don’t!
Willowpaw heard a yelp from somewhere in the woods. She called “Be right back!” to Snowpaw and Raypaw before full-on sprinting toward the sound.
She found Daykit curled under a bush, asleep, flailing her paws, and yowling. Daykit had scraps of fur just… parting, with blood welling up. It looked like she was being scratched by a sharp rock, only minus the sharp rock. She’s in the Dark Forest! Willowpaw realized with a jolt. I have to wake her up! She began repeatedly shaking the small kit until Daykit opened her eyes blearily with a sharp gasp of pain.
“Shhhhh,” Willowpaw comforted her. “You’re okay. It’s going to be okay.”
Hi I’m Acornkit…can I join?
Back in the IceClan camp, Featherflower (med. cat?) was tending to a plump queen in the nursery. “Your kitting will come soon.” Featherflower told the queen. “We have to be prepared.”
“How’s my mate?” Darkclaw asked, walking into the patched-up nursery.
“Lilyshimmer is perfectly fine.” Featherflower replied.
“Everything hurts!” Lilyshimmer suddenly exclaimed.
“Lilyshimmer’s kitting is coming too early!” Featherflower mewed anxiously.
“What should we do?” Darkclaw asked.
“Fetch me a stick, this might work.” Featherflower told him, rushing to her den to fetch some herbs.
Darkclaw returned with a stick. “Good. Now we need Lilyshimmer to bite down on the stick!”
Lilyshimmer bit down on the stick. A wet bundle flopped down on the floor. Three more kits tumbled out. “OK, you did great, Lilyshimmer.” Featherflower told the queen. She turned her gaze on DarkClaw. “Lick!” she ordered.
“Lilyshimmer stopped breathing!” Darkclaw meowed nervously through licks.
“This is what I feared…” Featherflower mewed. “Lilyshimmer has died!”
“Not after the Dark Forest battle! We need all the cats we can possibly get, and there are still more of us wandering around, searching for the camp!” Darkclaw’s voice was shaded.
“One of the kits is a stillborn,” Featherflower continued to give out her fateful news.
“No!” Darkclaw shrieked.
“Darkclaw…I’m still here for you…I will be…but I lie in StarClan’s paws now…” Lilyshimmer murmured.
“What should we name the silvery one with the blue eyes?” Darkclaw asked.
“Dawnkit…” Lilyshimmer’s eyes flickered close, and it seemed she made a big effort to open them again.
“And what about the fiery tabby with the amber eyes?” Darkclaw continued.
“Flamekit.” Lilyshimmer’s voice was stronger now.
“And the black one with dark-brown eyes?” Darkclaw questioned.
“Name her Acornkit.” Lilyshimmer breathed.
Her chest heaved and she gave her last breath; then her eyes flickered close and she journeyed to StarClan.
“I have bad news.” Featherflower mewed sadly to Jaystar.
“What is it?” Jaystar’s eyes were shadowed with grief.
“Darkclaw set off to find Daykit and Willowpaw, but he died after being bit by an adder. The kit and the apprentice found their way home, but Darkclaw is lost.” Featherflower reported.
“Now Dawnkit, Acornkit and Flamekit will have no father nor mother.” Jaystar meowed.
“I’m afraid so.” Featherflower murmured.
Can I join the roleplay? I’m Acornshade but I want to be Acornkit.
Sure
(I am finally back after 5 months)
I am sorry but we already have a med. Cat you will have to ask willa if you want to replace her
Rainstriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipe!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’re back! I missed you! 😀
Sure you can! (I am soooooo late sorry! ._. ) And the med cat is Lilyspark, but Featherflower can be her apprentice (since the other med cat apprentice we had, Dovepaw, was killed off)
Rainstripe padded through the forest thinking about the battle that had just happened, so many losses, his half Starclan half dark forest body, like his body couldn’t decide where he belongs, he had left Willowpaw and Raypaw in the clearing where they had met with Fernkit. Could he go back to the camp now, could any of the cats who trained in the dark forest, he thought about the all the evil that was in the dark forest and he thought about all of the cats he trained with and began to think them as of friends poor Willowpaw had never really been accepted by them but that was ok now that the wouldn’t be seeing each other again. He walked back in camp and some cats gave him hostile stares and some of them turned into surprise then fear as the saw his state his body was in. To kits that had been born only a half moon before the battle named hopkit and ivykit ran up to him one asked “Is he a dark forest cat”, the other one shrieked with fear and the both scampered away Frostclaw would welcome him he thought but he only got a fearful and surprised glance from her before she disappeared into the warriors den, he walked to the far side of the camp and sat down trying to sleep
Snowpaw sighed.Rainstripe was back but most of the camp didn’t trust him and Snowpaw herself didn’t know what to think.Sure,he had trained in the dark forest, but so had a lot of others. She half-sighed-half-glared at her Clanmates, went to the fresh kill pile, grabbed a mouse, and carried it over to Daykit.
The news gave Willowpaw hope. It must be an omen. She hoped it was an omen. New kits meant the Clan would flourish again someday, that life goes on. It was all positive–until Lilyshimmer died giving birth. And then Darkclaw died searching for her— which did not make sense to Willowpaw. But Acornkit, Flamekit, and Dawnkit were probably worth it. It was like trading two lives away to get three more. It was very sad, yes, but Willowpaw was almost getting used to death. And that was the scariest thing. She vowed to protect Acornkit, Flamekit and Dawnkit as if they were her own. Sure, she was pretty young, but she had to made the trade WORTH IT. The three young kits deserved to be happy. And that was what she’d give them. Happiness. This was a good plan.
