Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this year’s gift exchange! As always, your creations were absolutely wonderful and you never fail to blow me away with your talent and creativity! To find your name in...
Okay, so this post is a little later than what I would’ve wanted, but I’ve had a busy week 😛 I’m also a little tired, so, only one cat pic this time 😛 You’re getting plenty from Cadvent, anyway...
The seventh edition of the Blog Monthly is here – written by Lil, fresh off the printing press Hello, everyone!! The Blog Monthly is back and better than ever! I hope you all love this edition, in my opinion it is one...
Claimed!
for flamepaw/spirit! tsgn
Hi Flamilton! I’m here to deliver some exciting TSGN news 💌
You will be receiving Part 21 as a One-page Artist! You are responsible for completing all parts (sketch, line art, coloring) of the page, with the final product being a completely lined and colored page with all effects.
Your chapter section (https://blogclan.katecary.co.uk/2013/10/04/trailing-stars-chapter-4-by-brightshadow/) prompt begins from the beginning of Chapter 4 to “…What if I’m on their territory, and they’re coming to fight me off?”.
One-page Artist Page Guidelines
Rule number one is: good communication! Please let us know if anything comes up that might cause delay – you are allowed a one week extension, and if you are still unable to complete your part, you can pass on it for now and get assigned a new part at a later time 🙂
Style: You can do full-color, or black-and-white. You can use digital art or traditional. Feel free to utilize your unique style! One thing that will not be allowed is palette drawings, since they can make it super unclear which character is which by disregarding everyone’s color schemes (especially chaotic in a story with as many characters as this one). Please follow the official character references as closely as possible, as shown in the spreadsheet attached on the TSGN Resources.
Schedule: Your full schedule is 4 weeks long, and starts August 5th, though you can certainly start your part before then. We will be checking in as follows to make sure it’s coming along nicely!
– Your first week check-in will be for the completion of the page’s lineart and composition – August 12th
– Your second week check-in will be for the completion of the page’s flat coloring and background – August 19th
– Your third week FINAL check-in will be for the completion of the page’s shading and lighting – August 26th
– Your part should be complete by September 2nd
All roles are allowed an extension of 1 week – please let us know ASAP if you need one!
Besides these guidelines, please make sure to follow the rules and directions posted on the TSGN Resources page (https://blogclan.katecary.co.uk/trailing-stars-graphic-novel-tsgn-resources/) as well!
You may work ahead of pace as much as you want, but please don’t fall behind! ❤️ Let us know if you have any questions or need any help!
Thanks for letting me know, Piney!! I’m currently on vacation and won’t be back home until Saturday, so I won’t be able to start yet, but I’ll get to work as soon as I get home! :DD I’m super excited for this!!! <33
no worries, thanks for keeping me updated 😀
ofc ofc!!!
hi flam!!!! i hope youre doing well – have you started on your tsgn part? there’s a while until it’s due to be finished, but i just wanted to check that we’re moving forward with it :DD
hey Piney!! yep I have and I’ve finished the sketches/lineart!! I’m a bit busy with school starting, but I plan on working on it a bit tonight as I’m free for the rest of the day :DD
awesome, that’s good to hear!! i know that you made that comment about two weeks ago – have you made any new progress since? i totally get if you haven’t though, i know school is a lot 😛
Hey Piney!! I believe I submitted it August 30-ish?? However if it didn’t go through I’d be happy to submit it again!! :DD
yes, i saw it!!! it looks lovely – however the quality is a bit low; would it be possible for you to take another picture of it with better lighting and/or a better camera if you have one?
I can definitely try!! Sorry about the quality tho, all I have is my crappy school chromebook to take pics 😛
just submitted a new version–I hope this one’s okay!! :))
