  • Chapter One

Everest awoke to the sound of wind whistling through the trees. Her body was stiff and cold, she shivered. “It’s cold out here when I went to sleep it was hot.” she muttered as she scrambled to her paws shaking the loose twigs out of her long gray fur. Everest jumped off the rock she was laying on. Nice place to make a camp. Very open. She thought. The clearing was big and surrounded by Willow trees. A small stream ran through the trees. There were a lot of bushes that could be dens and the rock she had just stood on would be a perfect spot for a place to talk to cats.
Everest’s nose twitched; she smelled something… delicious! She crept towards the smell placing her huge paws carefully on the ground. Trying to not make a sound, she saw the mouse. It was at the edge of the stream lapping up the water.
She crept slowly, the mouse didn’t see her coming. A leaf crackled right beside her. She froze, one paw raised. “Who are you? Come out.” A small white she-cat came out of the bushes. “What’s your name?”
“My name’s Ice, what’s yours?” Ice tipped her head sideways.
    “Everest is mine. I am sorry if I sound a little… I don’t know… suspicious.” Everest said.
“It’s alright. We’ll at least not like my friend who hates me!” Ice hissed with anger. Everest froze. She was surprised by Ices’ anger.
“Follow me to my home. I’ll explain everything on the way.” Everest started off towards the clearing. “So I got a vision from this Clan if that’s what you’d call it. It’s called StarClan. So they told me to start another clan. They said to grow the clan and then go look for a car named Gorsestar of BrushClan. Now I have a question: do you want to join? I’ll name the Clan after you. How does IceClan sound?”
“ That sounds wonderful! I’ll join!” Ice said with excitement. When they got to the clearing Ice burst out. “This is a perfect place for IceClan! I also think you’d be a good leader! And here we can use this stone as a place to host meetings and dig a den under it so it can be a den for you. Then we can use some of the bushes as dens and dig under them for more dens.”
“That’s a wonderful idea! You’d be a wonderful deputy. Now let’s get started. Let’s start with the leader’s den.” Everest padded over to the rock and started to dig under it and Ice came to join her. They kept digging until it got dark. “It’s getting late lets get some sleep.” They walked over to a bush and scraped some grass together into separate nests.
Once Everest was done she curled up and fell asleep. She was exhausted and hungry but she slept anyway. They’d hunt in the morning.

A golden she-cat lay on the rocks screaming in pain, a black tom stood over top over the she-cat. Everest stood frozen in shock, she couldn’t move. The black tom clawed at the she-cats belly, blood all over his paws.
Just then Everest heard a voice. “ A shadow will rise, and a darkness will cover the forest.” The forest fades around her and she wakes up.

  • Chapter Three (Am I doing this right? Should I wait for chapter two first?).

Icepaw raced along the brush. Her eyes regarded a small, thin mouse with interest. She crept closer, paws pattering on the ground. Her white belly fur brushed the grass as she walked. Closer…closer…suddenly she leapt, catching the mouse in between her paws.

“Gotcha!” she exclaimed triumphantly. The mouse blinked, squeaking.
    “Please don’t hurt me!”
Icepaw leapt back, eyes wide. “Wha?”
“Oh, thank goodness!” the mouse said. “You can understand me?”
Icepaw’s blue eyes narrowed. “Is this a trick?” she said, looking around for any hidden cats.
“No, no!” chuckled the mouse. “I’m Stump. I hope we can be friends.”
Icepaw blinked. Friends? Of all the cats, this mouse wanted to be friends with the coldest, sharpest, most temperamental she-cat in the world?
And how was this mouse talking to her? It was too many questions! Icepaw’s claws went out. “Who are you?”
The mouse said, “I already told you. Stump. I don’t know how you can understand me, and I don’t know how I can understand you, but I still hope we can be friends.”
    “I-”
Icepaw was interrupted by a pale gray tabby she-cat, crashing through the grass. She blinked at Icepaw several times. Then:
    “Hi,” she said. “I’m Everest.”
Icepaw turned from the mouse to Everest, mouse, to Everest. Then she pointed a claw at the mouse.
    “H-he,” she blubbered, “he talks.”
Everest looked at her confusedly. “I don’t know what you mean.”
    “The mouse talks!”
“I said my name was Stump.” The mouse’s ear twitched.
“Sorry, Stump.” All of a sudden, Icepaw couldn’t help smiling. She scooped the mouse up in her white paw.
    “That’s okay,” Stump said.
Everest jumped forward. “Okay, the mouse is definitely not talking. But what’s your name?”
    “I’m, um, Icepaw.”
Everest broke into a smile. “Icepaw, what do you say you join a Clan?”
Icepaw raised an eyebrow. “What’s a Clan?” she said.
“It’s a group of cats that live together. Kind of”-Everest shrugged-“like a little family.”
“I don’t need a family.” Icepaw’s fur rose. Stump sniffed, sitting down in Icepaw’s paw.
“I guess not,” Everest said, looking at the high trees that surrounded the forest, “but you wouldn’t be alone. There would be food everyday, adventures, prophecies…”
    Stump nudged Icepaw.
Icepaw grinned. “You had me at food. I’m in.”

    THAAANX!!

  • AHHHH! I’m so so sorry! I sorta forgot about this! So I’m supposed to do chapter two I believe. . .Is gorsestar a tom or a she-cat? And what do they look like? For now Imma make Gorestar a white tom with brown tabby patches but if they are completely different, let me know! <3

    Chapter two:

Gorse padded his way through the ferns with his two friends, Leopard and Stone. They were looking for a place to stay for the night.
"How much longer 'til we find some nests?" hissed Leopard. The she-cat was very impatient sometimes.
"Don't worry, Leopard! It's not like you're falling asleep right now!" Gorse growled.
"Who says I'm not?" Leopard murmured.
"Gorse did." Stone, who could be quite mouse-brained sometimes, padded up to Leopard.
Both Gorse and Leopard glared at their friend. Stone shrugged his shoulders and went on.
"Hold up," Gorse swished his tail for his friends to stay. He walked into a clearing with all kinds of plants and trees that provided shelter. But the floor was covered in debris and what looked like twoleg trash.
Leopard walked up. "This place looks like a dump! Who lived here?" she hissed disdainfully.
A shadow walked up from behind. "I did. And I still do."
The three cats whipped around to see a small black she cat with bright blue eyes. "I'm Ravensky."
"Raven. . .sky?" Gorse sniffed the air around her and narrowed his eyes.
"That's and odd name. Where did you get it from? Your parents? Yourself? A twoleg? A rock?" Stone's muzzle was right in Ravensky's face.
"Uh- no. . .? It had been given to me. From StarClan." Ravensky looked up at the stars and smiled.
    Leopard snorted. "StarClan? What's that?"
"They're my ancestors. . .there used to be clans. . .but they all ran away. This used to be my clan. . .BrushClan."
"BrushClan. . .if it's abandoned. . .you don't mind if we stay here for awhile, do you?" Gorse asked.
Ravensky rolled her eyes. "Stay as long as you'd like- maybe the four of us could function like my old clan. I could teach you all everything. And Gorse- you look very strong and noble. You could help lead." her eyes lit up as she spilt out her idea.
"I am. . .very strong and huh- oh so noble." Gorse looked up with a big smile, his chest puffed out.
"I guess this could work. . .it can't be that hard." Leopard nodded to Ravensky.
"So we're gonna be BrushClan-ers?" Stone asked as he looked around the place.
"Not until you get your names-" Ravensky couldnt help but laugh a bit

"Gorse, I believe you should be leader. Therefor, you are now Gorsestar." Ravensky placed her paw on his shoulder since she couldnt reach her nose to his head."
Leopardpounce and Stonelake stood aside as Ravensky named the new Gorsestar.
"That is very kind of you. And because you know this place more than anyone else- and because apparantly I need a deputy- would you care to be my deputy, Ravensky?"
"I'd be honored if it means to recreate my clan." Ravensky purred.
"Very well. From now on, we shall be BrushClan." Gorestar looked at the other three cats and continued. "If this is to be a clan, we need more cats. I'm not asking to drag kittypets and loners over, but to investigate that area and get to know some of them better. Maybe they'll decide to join." as Gorsestar finished, Leopardpounce stepped foward.
"Why can't it be only four cats? Don't you think it's better to live with less cats in a secluded area?" she hissed. Stonelake stepped up beside her.
"And why do you get to be leader?" he growled softly.
"Stone. . . lake! We had agreed for him to be leader. Plus, that's not what we're talking about!" she snarled.
"Stop-! I agreed with Ravensky to recreate BrushClan. How can we do that without more cats? We finally got a home. There might be other loners and rogues who are in need of one. We can help them out." Gorsestar's words left Leopardpounce drawn to a blank.
Ravensky blinked a thank you and meowed, "We can start our search tomorrow. But for now, we need rest." she narrowed her eyes at the bright light of the moon.
"Alright. Goodnight!" Stonelake meowed. He then sat in the middle of the clearing instead of his den.
"STON-" Leopardpounce was about to yowl loudly at her friend until Ravensky stopped her.
"He's new to this. And he's a little. . .yeah. Let's just go to our den." Ravensky blinked slowly. They nodded and padded to their den.
Gorsestar went to his den. 'I'm leader. . .' he thought with a smile. 'And this stranger thinks I'm strong aaaand noble. Nice.'

I hope this is okay! <3
