The seventh edition of the Blog Monthly is here – written by Lil, fresh off the printing press Hello, everyone!! The Blog Monthly is back and better than ever! I hope you all love this edition, in my opinion it is one...
“Uh- sure,” she muttered, “Is Tigerpaw coming?”
Sorrelfur licked her paws, then looked at him.
(AHH SIX PAGES OF THIS RP TYSM GUYS!)
Marshpaw unsteadily walked out of the apprentice den. just focus on reaching the fresh-kill pile, she told herself, we can work on the rest later. She shook her head, causing a massive pain to shoot up her spine. “Great StarClan that hurt.” She muttered, pushing through the pain. She stopped by the fresh-kill pile and plopped down, pride radiating from her pelt.
~Tigerpaw~
Tigerpaw padded up to Sorrelfur and Wiltingpaw.
“I’m coming,” she said, clearly not asking.
“Oh- okay,” Sorrelfur muttered.
~Blackpaw~
Blackpaw trotted into camp with a giant rabbit in his jaws. He saw Marshpaw and bounced over to her.
“Hi, Marshpaw!” He squeaked, “You feeling better?”
~Wiltingpaw~
“You need to rest, you’re still wounded.” He nudged Tigerpaw towards the den again. “I’ll share whatever I catch with you after, okay?”
Tigerpaw rolled her eyes, “I don’t need to rest!” she snapped, “A true warrior trains when she can! I can hunt fine!”
Sorrelfur’s eyes widened at Tigerpaw’s attitude.
~Wiltingpaw~
“A real warrior would listen to her clanmate and wait until she heals so she will always be able to hunt.” They spoke calmly, trying to calm her nerves.
“Don’t argue with me!” she snarled at him, unsheathing her claws.
Sorrelfur backed up.
~Wiltingpaw~
He looked her in the eyes.
“Go on, attack me. I am not scared of you. I’m doing this for YOUR well-being.”
“I’m coming,” she snarled, “Whether you like it or not!”
Her long, bloodstained claws shined as she held one up to her view.
Sorrelfur made the quietest whimper.
~Wiltingpaw~
He shrugged, backing up and turning halfway to Sorrelfur “Let’s go then”
Sorrelfur nodded, “Okay.”
She thought for a second and then said, “Anywhere you two would like to hunt specifically?”
~Wiltingpaw~
“I was thinking deep in the forest, there would be good prey there.”
Marshpaw’s smile brightened when she saw him, “Hi, Blackpaw!” She purred. “Great catch!”
“Thanks!” he smiled
Marshpaw gently nudged him, “You’ll be a warrior in no time,” she encouraged. “When you get your warrior name, I’ll be cheering the loudest,” she purred. “I’ve been practicing.” She laughed, happiness making her eyes sparkle. She suddenly blinked and took a step away, confusion in her mind. He’s my best friend, she thought sadly, he’ll probably never think of me as more… And I can live with that. She felt a wave of sadness wash over her and she quickly batted a leaf at Blackpaw. “Let’s play!” She suggested, desperate to distract herself.
“Okay!” he squealed.
He pounced on her.
She’s the best! he thought, But does she think I’m more than a best friend?? I hope so…
~Blackstorm~
“Leafpaw! Where are you?”
The tom began to look for his apprentice, he was planning to give him a hunting lesson.
Leafpaw quickly ran over, “Sorry, Blackstorm,” he meowed apologetically. “I got distracted.” He looked up at Blackstorm, “What did you need?”
~Blackstorm~
“It’s alright, I was wondering if you wanted to do some hunting lessons?”
“Ok!” Leafpaw meowed. “Can I see if Tigerp-” he froze when he remembered Tigerpaw had left with Wiltingpaw. “Never mind.” He mumbled. He sighed and shook his head, “Can we leave now?” He asked with forced cheerfulness.
~Blackstorm~
He looked at Leafpaw for a second before crouching down
“Are you okay? You seem upset.”
Leafpaw shrugged, “Wouldn’t you be if your sister was hurt?” He lied, avoiding Blackstorm’s eyes.
~Blackstorm~
“Hm.. Very well.” He stood up, gently flicking Leafpaws head with his tail, and padded towards the camp entrance
“Let’s go”
Leafpaw quickly followed Blackstorm, pained that he had to lie. He wouldn’t have understood anyway, he argued with himself, and I can take care of this myself. As soon as he thought this, he slammed headfirst into a tree. “Ouch!” He jumped back, rubbing his face with his paw. “I-I wasn’t looking where I was going, sorry.” He apologized frantically.
~Blackstorm~
“It’s alright, are you hurt?”
He padded over and tried to search for a wound.
Leafpaw shook his head, “I’m ok.” He meowed, embarrassed.
“Sure,” she said, and took the lead.
~Wiltingpaw~
He rolled his eyes and padded after her, motioning with their tail to follow.
Sorrelfur slowed a bit, letting Wiltingpaw lead. She fell back even more and Tigerpaw snorted and went ahead. It made her feel better that she could see Tigerpaw. She felt nervous around her, but not as nervous around Wiltingpaw.
~Wiltingpaw~
He took the lead, padding deeper into the forest and sniffing around. “Squirrel.”
Tigerpaw stalked off somewhere else and started to track a mouse.
Sorrelfur padded after Wiltingpaw.
~Wiltingpaw~
He began to climb a tree, chasing after the squirrel.
“Be careful!” Sorrelfur whispered to Wiltingpaw.
Tigerpaw stalked back to them with a few plump mice in her jaws. Sorrelfur jumped when she saw her.
Tigerpaw laughed and shoved Sorrelfur.
~Wiltingpaw~
He started hopping down the tree, looking at Sorrelfur and slightly frowning. He finally landed on the ground
“Lets bury this prey and hunt more”
“Sure,” she said.
Tigerpaw shoved Sorrelfur, “Start digging, then.” Tigerpaw snapped.
Sorrelfur nodded and dug the hole.
~Wiltingpaw~
He nudged her over and dug both holes, burying the preys.
“I’ll bury the prey.”
Hazelpaw walked out of the medicine den, a bundle of herbs in his mouth. He scanned the clearing for Marshpaw and quickly spotted her sitting by Blackpaw. He watched, alarmed, as she started playing and ran over. He carefully set the herbs on the ground and snatched the leaf from the air. “You’re supposed to be resting!” He hissed, more scared for his sister than annoyed. “How am I supposed to heal you when you won’t rest!”
Marshpaw huffed, “I’m perfectly fine!” She snapped. “I’m getting better! You’re treating me like I’m gonna die any die now.”
Hazelpaw’s eyes flickered uncertainly and he stared at the ground. “I brought you some herbs.” He meowed after a moment. “Try to eat them quickly.” He whisked away, running back into the medicine den.
Marshpaw sighed and pawed at the herbs. “They taste worse than Fox dung.” She whispered playfully to Blackpaw, but she leaned over and chewed them up. After they were gone, she licked his lips distastefully. “I don’t know why he insists on treating me like a kit. I’m practically healed by know and he’s acting like I’m about to die. Plus, it’s not like I’m unable to take care of myself.” She rolled her eyes before slightly smiling at Blackpaw. “So, how has your training been going?” She asked curiously.
“It’s fun!” He mewed, “But I miss you.”
He smiled a big, goofy smile at Marshpaw.
Marshpaw giggled at him and licked her chest fur smooth. “I should be back to training soon,” she reassured. “I’m just waiting for Featherfall to approve.” She flicked her tail across Blackpaw’s back. “How have you been?” She asked him,
partially worried about him.
“I’m good,” he said quietly, “How do you feel?”
~Tigerpaw~
Tigerpaw glared at him, but didn’t say anything.
I’m supposed to be in control here! she thought bitterly.
~Wiltingpaw~
He caught Tigerpaw’s glance.
“Where would you like us to hunt, Tigerpaw?”
Tigerpaw rolled her eyes and said, “You two go. Clearly you don’t respect me.”
~Wiltingpaw~
“I respect you just fine. But if you wish to be like this, we will. Sorrelfur go ahead.”
Sorrelfur nodded, and watched as Tigerpaw stalked away.
I hope it’s just an angry fit, not going to continue… she thought.
She padded farther into the forest.
“Okay!” Blackpaw squealed.
He pounced on her.
She’s the best! he thought, But does she think I’m more than a best friend?? I hope so…
(I’m so rooting for them)
(moon / soon to be MidnightFace)(loner)
moon walk quietly though the woods in hope of a new home and new life. “I think I smell a group of cats.” she whispers to herself. she felt to tired to go any farther. she found a spot in a bush and made her nest. “I hope they will let me stay.” she mumbled to herself falling asleep.
(perms to attack, prison, injure, anything but kill)
(proceeds to begin existing)
Ivyrose padded through the woods of Hollyclan territory, carrying a plump squirrel in his jaws. Suddenly scenting something unfamiliar, Ivyrose went to a crouch.
loner scent! he exclaimed to himself, Well, whoever is foolish enough to come here deserves a scratch or two for their ignorance. . After he buried the fresh-kill, Ivyrose followed the scent until he came to a bush where the smell was the strongest.
Ivyrose narrowed his green eyes, “Whoever you are, get out of that bush, and state your business!” he yowled, “Otherwise you’re carrion!”
Moon jumped awake and slowly came out of the bush. “I-im m-moon. I mean no harm.” she mumbled. “I’m just looking for a home.” her fur bristled at the cats hostility. im so not going to let this tom take me down! em
“We’re not looking for another mouth to feed.” The silver tom growled, “We already have to deal with Mothclan.”
Realizing he said too much, Ivyrose licked his chest fur to hide his embarrassment.
Mind if I butt in?)
(Not at all )
~Redfern~
“Ivyrose? What’s going on?”
The she-cat padded over, her brother nowhere to be seen.
Ivyrose dipped his head,”greetings, Redfern” he meowed to the she-cat,”I found this loner named Moon on our territory.
Allegedly , she is looking for a home.” The silver tom said, glaring at the she-cat with distrust.
~Redfern~
“I’d say we allow her.. She can’t be that much of a threat. But, with the possible oncoming war from Mothclan, she could be a spy.”
“I suppose that we need more warriors. Lets bring her back to camp, and see what Hollystar and Willowstrike thinks.”
He unsheathed his claws at Moon,”Don’t think about running away like a scared kitty-pet.”
Something about Moon set him off, reminding him of something he wanted to forget.
(Why is the text box getting smaller?)
~Redfern~
“I’ll walk from behind, you walk infront.”
(Because we keep replying, then we make a new comment thread!)
Marshpaw laughed and wriggled away, pinning Blackpaw’s tail to the ground. While he was distracted, she launched herself at his side, happiness overcoming the pain. She sat up, panting, blood slightly dripping from the cut. She smiled at him, not noticing the blood, and meowed, “You’re good! I’ll have to work hard to catch up once I’m better.”
Emberstream rushed over, “Marshpaw, what are you doing?” She snapped, worry sparking her gaze.
“Me and Blackpaw, we were just-”
“You’re bleeding!” Emberstream inturupted. “You go to Featherfall right now.” She ordered sternly.
Marshpaw took a step backwards and her fur slightly brushed against Blackpaw’s. “But-but I’m getting better!” She protested. “I promise! It’s just a little scrape! Mum, I don’t want to go back there. I’m having fun! Please don’t make me go back to Featherfall.” She begged quietly.
Emberstream flicked her tail, as if her decision was final. “Go.” She meowed sternly, not letting Marshpaw get another word in.
Marshpaw whimpered slightly and darted away, her tail brushing against Blackpaw’s side as she passed.
Emberstream watched her go before turning to Blackpaw. “If you want her to get better, please don’t play rough. I can tell you want her to get back to training, but she has to rest.” Her gaze softened and she laid her tail on his shoulders. “I’m sure you understand.” She meowed gently before walking away.
(just a heads up, I replied, it’s just taking a bit to mod 😁)
Silentkit started existing.
“What am I supposed to do again?”
Littlekit, the mute kit, accidentally ran into him.
She dipped her head in a way to say sorry.
I- I still shouldn’t talk, I mean I guess I don’t know how.. she thought.
~Blackstorm~
“Alright, there’s a mouse right there, try to catch it.”
~Featherfall~
“Hazelpaw? Could we talk?”
~Lostshadow~
“Seapaw? Where are you?”
~Willowstrike~
“Blackpaw! Come here!
Blackpaw bounced up to Willowstrike at the same time Seapaw padded to Lostshadow.
~Willowstrike~
“I’m going to take you to practice battle moves with Lostshadow and Seapaw, lets go.”
~Lostshadow~
“We are going to train with Willowstrike and Blackpaw, alright?”
Blackpaw trotted after Willowstrike.
Seapaw said, “Sure!”
She smiled at Lostshadow.
~Lostshadow~
He headed towards the training area, mumbling a few words. Once the two got there Willowstrike beckoned them over.
~Willowstrike~
He pressed his nose into Lostshadows fur a minute before turning to the paws “Alright, do you two know the Belly kick and Belly rake?”
“No,” Blackpaw shifted his paws, “Was i supposed to?”
~Willowstrike~
“No, That’s fine. Watch and learn.”
He turned towards Lostshadow, being pinned down. With claws sheathed, he pretends to claw at Lostshadows stomach multiple times and then kicked it off.
“Try that, with claws sheathed.”
Leafpaw nodded and crouched, eyes never straying from the mouse. He froze for a second, his tail flicked uncertainly, and the mouse scampered away. He ducked his head guiltily and avoided Blackstorm’s eyes. “Sorry…” He meowed quietly.
Hazelpaw nodded, pretending to be busy. He sat down in front of Featherfall and waited, his tail twitching nervously.
~Blackstorm~
“Thats alright, how about you watch me then copy?”
~Featherfall~
“Are you okay? Have you and your siblings been fighting?”
Leafpaw nodded, relieved that his mentor was understanding. He intently watched Blackstorm, determined to make up for the mouse.
Hazelpaw slowly started shaking his head, then nodded. “It’s Marshpaw!” He burst out. “She won’t rest! She acts like she’s perfectly fine, and that it’s just a small little bruise, but it’s not! She’s being careless! I caught her playing with Blackpaw, and he’s way ahead of her in training!” She started digging his claws into the ground worriedly. “I don’t know how to help her if she won’t even listen to me!” He looked up at Featherfall, unsure of how he would react.
~Blackstorm~
He lowered himself to the hunter’s crouch and kept his tail over his shoulder, he lunged at the mouse and killed it.
~Featherfall~
His face fell but he nodded. “I’ll speak to her. You’re in the right. What I want you to do is tell her, by MY orders, that she will not move and she will listen to you.”
Leafpaw nodded in concentration and dropped into the same crouch Blackstorm had. His tail slightly stirred up the leaves and he drew it close. “How’s this?” He asked quietly.
(Feel free to correct him and point out stuff, I don’t mind 😊)
Hazelpaw twitched his ear worriedly, but nodded. “What do I do if she still doesn’t listen?” He asked. It wasn’t hard to imagine his headstrong sister arguing. When she was a kit, she’d get into debates with Emberstream about things as ridiculous as where to sleep. “She’s stubborn. Maybe it would be best if you told her…”
~Blackstorm~
“Keep your tail up a little bit higher, your stirred the leaves.”
(Okay!)
~Featherfall~
“Then I’l speak to her mentor, or perhaps Willowstrike. Now are we running low on herbs and have you eaten?”
Leafpaw nodded, eyes narrowed with concentration, and tried again.
Leafpaw meowed, “We’re low on coltsfoot and thyme.” He answered swiftly.
~Blackstorm~
He smiled when he caught the mouse. “Great job!”
~Featherfall~
“Alright, I’ll look for more with you after you’ve eaten.”
(me when I realized I used nodded to start the first 4 things for Leafpaw: 😶)
Leafpaw triumphantly raised his head, smiling at Blackstorm. “Was that right?” He asked curiously.
Hazelpaw shrugged, “We can go right now,” he meowed carelessly. “I’m not really hungry.”
Foxflame followed Lightningstrike into HollyClan camp, she looked at her paws as she entered, hoping to not attract to much attention.
– Lightningstrike-
“Hollystar?”
“Yes?” she asked, “What is it?”
“I have brought some cat that would like to join HollyClan,” he mewed dipping his head. Foxflame stepped out from behind him, she dipped her head respectfully.
” I am Foxflame, a Queen of MothClan,” She mewed, Lightningstrike grimaced 😬 , she shouldn’t have mentioned that.
+moon+
“I really need a home.” she whispers. “I’ve been walking for moons. and ill do anything to prove I mean no harm.” she looked hopeful at the two cats. what in the world is a moth clan? she thought.
Ivyrose twisted his ears back in irritation,”If you insist , we will bring you to camp. Redfern is behind you, so don’t even think about running”
He hated to admit it, but he somewhat admired her lack of fear, in what would most likely be such a strange situation. Gesturing Moon to follow him, He began walking to camp.
~Redfern~
She padded after the two, keeping her eyes on Moon.
“Oh-“ she said, startled, “Why would you like to join?”
” Mothclan isn’t right for me,” Foxflame mewed,” to violent and judgy”
“Understandable,” she noted, “And what would you bring to HollyClan? Divided loyalties?”
(Don’t worry she’ll be accepted)
” Information,”
Droplet’rain padded into the apprentice den.
“Marshpaw? Are you in there?” She asked.
Marshpaw huffed from her nest, “Yeah, mum won’t let me move.” He growled angirly. Bits of torn up moss was scattered around her and blood had dried around her cut. “Are we going training?” She asked excitedly, tail waving in the air happily.
“If you’re well enough,” she said, “But let’s start with the easy stuff.”
Her eyes drifted to dry blood, “Did Featherfall say you’re ready?”
Marshpaw ducked her head guiltily, “No…” She quickly added, “But I’m better. I just got into a play fight with Blackpaw! And it wasn’t even his fault. I-I tripped and hit my head.” She paused, avoiding Dropletrain’s eyes.
Dropletrain looked down at her.
“Come to Featherfall with me,” she said and padded out of the den.
“Featherfall?” She asked, “Is Marshpaw ready to start easy training?”
~Featherfall~
The tom padded over, leaning down and sniffing the wound.
“Hm.. It doesn’t smell infected.”
He stood up.
“Clean off the blood and do some gentle training. It most likely going to feel sore for a few days, don’t let to much pressure on the leg.”
Hawkpaw crossed to Hollyclan’s border, following the prey-scent.
I hope no one sees me The dark brown tabby thought anxiously before adding For their own sake in a more confident tone.
The she-cat never been to Holly clan territory, so she hoped that she would not accidentally tumble into their camp. Maybe- suddenly feeling the ground disappear under her, Hawkpaw fell into a Holly bush.
~Featherfall~
The medicine cat was padding around, going towards the bush to find some herbs.
“We need more coltsfoot.. and perhaps tansy..”
+Moon+
Moon let the cats herd her to there camp. Finally I think I’ve found a home! and ill do anything they want just to let me to stay! she thought hopefully. “a beautiful forest you live in.” she tried to start conversation.
Ivyrose twitched his whiskers in amusement,”You probably shouldn’t go running off to meet new cats just yet.For all they know, you could be a Mothclan invader…” The silver tom paused before adding in a voice slightly more teasing and relaxed,”or a lost kitty-pet.”
He turned to Redfern,”Do you mind getting Hollystar or Willowstrike here?” Ivyrose asked politely. He was a lot calmer now that he was in camp, surrounded by clanmates.
~Redfern~
“Right away.”
She padded over to the leader’s den, poking her head in. “Hollystar?”
“What is it?” Hollystar asked, “Is it important? I’m a little busy.”
Her fluffy, black coat was not big enough to block Foxflame from view.
“This cat would like to join HollyClan,” Hollystar said, motioning to Foxflame. “Can what you need wait?”
~Redfern~
“Yes uh.. another cat would like to join, a loner.”
Noticing movement near her, Hawkpaw squirmed,
“erm..Hello??” she called ,”I know your probably a Hollyclan cat, but I could use some help. I promise never to cross territory again.”
Hawkpaw hoped whoever was there wouldn’t shred her fur, or else they would be in for a fight.
~Featherfall~
“Oh, dear! Hold on! Let me grab a stick!”
There was some rustling then a long sturdy stick was poked through so she could grab on
