  • AdderClan Murder Mystery
    A senior warrior of AdderClan, Fernbreeze, was killed by a mysterious cat in the clan last night. AdderClan’s leader Featherstar wants to find out who killed this amiable warrior.

    Rules
    – Ask three specific cats a question at the beginning of the round.
    – The responses of the question will be seen here.
    – Questions such as ‘did you murder *cat name*?’ isn’t allowed.
    – When a round ends, people must vote for the cat who might be the murderer or skip.
    – The cat with the most votes will be executed and reveal if they are the murderer or not.
    – If over ½ skips, no one will be executed.
    – Have fun guessing!

      • Featherstar nods gravely. “Yes, her littermate is Brackenleaf. Her parents died a long time ago, even before my birth.” Then she adds, “The deputy, Hollydusk, was her mate, and they had a single kit, Mosspaw. Mosspaw was very proud of her parents, especially Hollydusk.”

        “She was a great mentor and a warrior! I loved her tales and everything she told me. We were really close, and I considered Fernbreeze almost like my foster mother.” Volepaw says, weeping.

        Featherstar tips her head. “A lot of warriors liked her, and she was cheery and passionate to her clanmates. Some cats didn’t like her because she was ‘too cheerful’ and how she accidentally caused big incidents all the time.”

    • Willowblossom- what were Fernbreeze’s injuries?
      Willowblossom- were there any tufts of fur in between her claws?
      Featherstar- did Fernbreeze have any other apprentices?

      • “Her throat was clawed quite badly, with several long slash marks. Only a trained warrior can do that; the clan selected only a few cats to include killing in their training session.”

        Willowblossom crosses her head. “No, as far as I can tell. She was killed while she was sleeping, I think. But then, Brackenleaf would’ve been protecting her if someone sneaked into her den. Or I would.” She winces. “She was my best friend.”

        Featherstar nods. “Thrushleap was Fernbreeze’s apprentice before she got Volepaw. He wasn’t really hard-working and didn’t follow the warrior code at first, according to Fernbreeze herself. He had to have his warrior assessment twice to receive his name.”

    • “I’m considering Thrushleap to become his new mentor, as he was trained by Fernbreeze herself. But, as he broke the warrior code often, Rippleshine could be a good alternative. But then, he had a bad relationship with Fernbreeze, which Volepaw would dislike. Hollydusk is a better option, and I’m sure Volepaw will like him since Hollydusk was Fernbreeze’s mate.”

      Volepaw rolls his eyes. “Dawnwind did! That mouse-brain hates everything my mentor does; or did.” His tone drops as he thinks of his deceased mentor. “Anyways, she thinks Fernbreeze is her rival, and so does some other cats in the clan, and some are worse than Dawnwind. Those cats think Fernbreeze is so caring to her family that she doesn’t care the clan much. Ask Mousepaw if you want more about them.”

      Willowblossom’s eyes become teary as she thinks about the time when Fernbreeze was alive. “She didn’t have injuries often, but she visited the den a lot of time to check on her daughter and chat with me. I was her best friend since she was a kit like me.”

    • Volepaw tips his head. “Dawnwind wasn’t fond of Fernbreeze taking me as her apprentice, but then, she hates everything Fernbreeze does. Plus, there are only three warrior apprentices and two out of three mentors are Fernbreeze herself and her brother.”

      Featherstar closes her eyes thoughtfully and opens again. “A lot of cats, but most of them all got fine with it, except for Dawnwind, of course, and hot-headed Smokefern, who thinks Fernbreeze is intentionally making her feel mad, caring Emberfire, who doesn’t like Fernbreeze’s attitude toward his sister, and quiet Snaketuft, who is still cold after Fernbreeze did something to his mentor.”

    • “I didn’t see any fur between Fernbreeze’s claws when I saw the corpse for the last time. If you really desire to check it, ask Willowblossom about Fernbreeze’s corpse.” Featherstar flicked her tail to the medicine cat den.

      “She was killed in her den, according to her denmates. Thrushleap, Dawnwind, Brackenleaf, and Emberfire slept with her, but Emberfire was hanging out with Thrushleap and was not Fernbreeze’s denmate, to be exact.”

      Featherstar crosses her head sadly. “Since she was alive when the clan went to sleep, we have no verified alibis.”
