  • Hi everyone, welcome to the short story contest!

    Here’s how it works: There are three categories you can submit for:

    1. ‘What If’ stories (like what if Graystripe had stayed in Riverclan). Though I have only read arcs up to Omen of the Stars, Bluestar’s, Crookedstar’s and Tallstar’s super editions, as well as Firestar’s Quest and Skyclan’s destiny, so please keep your stories confined to those. If it isn’t, I can’t read it and it will be disqualified.

    2. Love/romance stories. I know this sounds kind of broad, but that’s because it is! Any story where love is the main plot works!

    3. Plot twist stories. These stories can literally be any story with a plot twist in it!

    Now that I’ve explained how this works, here are a few rules:

    1. If you want to enter the contest, please comment here, “I’m in!” or something that shows you will participate, even if you have not written your story yet!

    2. Please make your story longer than 450 words.

    3. Please submit here, on this page. When you do, please include your name, the category you are submitting for, and anything you would like me to know about the story.

    4. You can submit until July 30th. On August 1st I will send out the winners of each category.

    5. If your story could go into two of the categories (which is totally ok), like if it’s a plot twist story with love, or a ‘What If?’ story with a plot twist, I would really like all stories that are ‘What If?’ to be in the ‘What if?’ category, but you can choose between them for any other combo.

    6. Every few days I will post the current number of people in each category. If you have a combo story, it would be really appreciated if you submitted it into the category with fewer people (but if one of your friends is in one of the categories in your combo and you want to compete against them, you can totally submit your story to that category).

  • Hi! I thought that while you guys are writing, I’d put this page work! So I’m going to be doing an NTA, if you are or aren’t in the contest you can totally play, and if you are in the contest and you don’t want to, that’s completely fine.

    There will be 5 rounds in a game, and if your name wins, you get a point!

    Wednesday: Find That Personality (I say a warrior name, like for example, Leafglare, and you say the personality and maybe pelt or eye color it suggests, like Leafglare might be a sharp, slightly mean cat, with green eyes) You can do this untill Monday
    Thursday: NTA, you can do this until Monday
    Friday: Rate That Warrior, you can do this until Wednesday
    Saturday: Fun chatting! On Saturday and Sunday, you can just free chat! It’s good day to get to know your fellow AppleClan clanmates and relax and hang out! It’s also a good day to work on contests from the week, and to get a break from AppleClan if you’ve been hanging out here a lot 😛!

    Last thing 😛, please remember to reply to NTA, Warrior Names, FTP, and RTW comments that I post, just so it’s easier to find them and keep track of all the stuff happening on AppleClan! For Saturday and Sunday chatting, you don’t have to reply to any comment, but please post “Saturday” or “Sunday” at the top to show it’s a Saturday and Sunday comment. Also, if you have names you really want to post but you forget on Warrior Names day, you can always post them on Saturday or Sunday, and you can still post “Saturday” or “Sunday” at the top.

    • Flutterheart – a kind, gentle cat with a stubborn, caring personality that can be fierce and protective at times.
      Icefire – a fierce cat with pale blue eyes and a short temper; Icefire is a know-it-all but is kind and generous when the opposing cat seems desperate.
      Branchsting – a dark brown cat who is VERY stubborn and picky; but very considerate and honest, although he can be lazy.
      Sunheart – Sunheart is a lovely shade of gold, and is so kind and gentle her heart is made of that, too; but she can be quite short-tempered and is NEVER on time.
      Shadowfang – this black, deceiving cat likes holding himself out of fights to keep secret. He is very aloof and distant, but when ordered to do something by those he is loyal to, he always obeys and keeps his promises.
      Skyclaw – a short-tempered cat with blazing copper eyes, Skyclaw never has sheathed claws. He always strikes first and is very stubborn; but he is very protective and caring towards his loved ones.
      Sunnycloud – the bright, cheerful, golden tabby she-cat with the patient personality and the happy aura is never to be missed and always on time; she is an optimist and is very protective, caring and kind. She is confident in whatever she does and is frightened by only one thing: shouting.
