Poetry for Pepe Project
Pepe hasn’t been feeling well lately, so I decided putting together a book of poems for her might cheer her up.
Anyone who’s interested in participating can reply to this comment with a poem about Pepe (just a small poem describing her or about her) and I’ll eventually combine them into a book for her.
You can use this page for inspiration- I’ve posted a lot of things about her here.
Pepe is one of my pet chickens. She is my most cuddly chicken and loves being petted and sitting on my lap. Because of a health condition, Pepe lives inside the house. She seems to really enjoy life indoors. She sleeps in a crate in my room and during the day she wanders around the house wherever she likes. Every day we take her outside with supervision.
Pepe is also very smart, and I’ve even trained her to do a few tricks. She has a strong personality, too- sweet but a little feisty.
Pepe is a wonderful chicken and she is very loved.
Quick to cuddle
Quick to shine
Pepe
The light of Pine’s eye
Lives a special life
Indoors and out
Always running about
She has a little spark
One that glows in the dark
Tricks are her game
Pepe’s the name
Greatest chicken in the world
Love is something she deserves

Aaron Burr, SirPepe always liked a certain dress- she’d try to make nests out of it whenever my mom wore it around her- so we decided to put it on a giant teddy bear for her so she could dig in it whenever she wants.

A Winter’s BallWe have a special day we call “Pep Day” to celebrate the anniversary of Pepe being an indoor chicken, since when she first came in we thought she would only live a few days, but the Lord answered our prayers and helped her get better and keep living with us for now over a year and hopefully many more, for which I am forever grateful.
