Of course you’re the one they’d leave behind, Hurricane said in Lyrics head.
“I know, right?” Lyric mewed. “I even thought Amba was starting to like me!”
Hurricane laughed. Ha! If you believe that you’ll believe anything! Next second, I’m gonna come to you as a flying donkey with a unicorn horn. (Lol sorry I’ve just been watching Encanto)
“I wish,” Lyric muttered. They knew that Hurricane was just a voice, and if someone saw Hurricane that cat would be part of the Wind-runners. (Lyric’s version of StarClan, for cats that believe in the wind spirit.)
I need to go annoy Amba some more- back later..
Lyric purred, but stifled it seconds later as the place they were in starting rumbling. They yowled.
Hollow watched as the van slowly started to move forward his claws slid out and in as the van moved faster. Hollow took off after the van when he was close enough he jumped snagging his claws on the rear. Pulling himself up he looked at the doors with intent leaping he hit the handle and the door swung open he trotted inside his eyes darting calmly back and forth across the van looking for Lyric “Hello i’m here to help you please say something so that i can unlock your cage and get you and me both out of here” His Blue eyes starting to get wary as he looked around he thought as the van slowed down pace as the driver noticed the door was open
(Sorry if i seem like i’m trying to but in you could tell me if you don’t want me to Rp with you Also Hollow to the either rescue or the end of them both! XD)
(I don’t mind you roleplaying but if its alright I’d prefer Lyric to get taken 🙂 )
“Um- hello.” Lyric replied, startled but relieved. “I’m here, I guess…”
Hollow let out a sigh of Relief and started forward toward the voice when he heard the Twoleg yell at him. He tried to run but the twoleg grabbed him. He hissed and tried to claw him but the twoleg had something protecting his hand. The twoleg placed him in the cage next to Lyric’s and shut him in. When the twoleg was gone Hollow reached his paw through the bars and and used his claws to feel the lock. His claw hooked and it popped open jumping out he turned to lyric “Sorry…..Here let me…” He hooked his claw on her lock and the door swung open. “There free…well almost….”
(And now there trapped in the van stuck going wherever the van is going. XD I just thought of something Hollow and Lyric are trapped till they get there….Oof Way to go Hollow…and now there both taken….My sis gave me the idea for this …)
“I could’ve got myself out of there.” Lyric snapped. They were embarrassed that they had to rely on someone else for help. Lyric had never had done that before, and she was embarrassed. They looked down at the ground.
You’ll be the one rescuing them one day
Lyric nodded. “You’re right, Hurricane. I wish someone believed.”
Amba knows. Hurricane pointed out.
“Yes, but she doesn’t ‘know’.”
( By the way, the bit in italics is essentially Lyric’s thoughts. It’s not, but please just treat it as such)
(Okay!) Hollow flinched back with a startled look “Sorry i just wanted to help…..” He looked at his paws and sighed “I’m Hollow who are you and what are your powers” His head felt heavy but he had to stay awake “If you tell me what you can do i will tell you what i can do fair?” he froze “And who are you whispering to?”
Lyric glared at Hollow. “Powers?” They scoffed. “I am the only one who had natural powers, before they were stolen by your kind. And as for who I am whispering to-“
Lyric sprang at Hollow, attempting to pull him to the ground. “If you don’t know, you never will.”
Lyric ran their gently paw down Hollow’s cheek. They weren’t trying to inflict pain, but their claw was still unsheathed.
Lyric began clawing at the side of the van.
“So many people are blind to the world.” They muttered under their breath.
It’s getting to the point where even I don’t know who’s got the Fight or not. Hurricane agreed. We’ll get your spirit back.
Lyric twined their tail around what would appear to be air. “That’s a promise nobody can keep.” Lyric paused. “Thanks.” They added.
Hollow was usually a calm cat but his eyes seemed to be filled with Panic “Ummm I’m sorry…..My powers are to see the future when i sleep” He shuttered “Its a Nightmare….” Looking at lyric he sighed “Your welcome but you never told me what your name was….” Swishing his tail back and forth he sat up making sure he did not anger lyric any farther then he already had
Ember cowered in her cage, curled up in the corner. Tiger was nowhere to be seen. Maybe if I hadn’t run off… She shuddered and faced the wall, her fear a odd mix of red and blue.
“Ember?” Addie said weakly. She had just woken up. “Ember, do you know what happened to me?”
Mia sighed in relief.
Ember instantly shot up and tried to see Addie. “The twolegs found us,” she meowed, voice trembling. “They’re taking us away. I-I don’t know what’s going on, but I can’t find Tiger and a couple cats escaped before the truck started moving.” Her fur was tinted half blue half red and she tried to steady her breathing.
“It’ll be okay,” she murmered, “We’ll find a way out.”
She took a deep breath, and shaked. All the emotions gave her a headache. She took a few deep breaths and they started to disappeer.
~Ember~
Ember forced herself to believe Addie’s words and her fur dulled to a dark blue hue. “Ok, now how do we get out?” She asked.
~Bayou~
She knew it was hopeless. They were all going to be taken. Nothing could be done against it. She let out an agonizing yowl as a spasm racked her body, leaving her limp on the floor of her cage. Her vision started to blur as her breathing became labored and she whimpered in pain before everything went dark.
~Ember~
She heard a cat cry out, but who? She frantically looked over every cage, hoping and praying it wasn’t Tiger. “Addie, did you hear that?” She asked worriedly. Then, her gaze fell on Bayou’s cage. “Someone’s hurt!” She cried. She could barely see Bayou’s dark fur in the shadows and couldn’t even tell if she was breathing. “Can anyone help that cat?” She asked, feeling guilty for not knowing the cat’s name.
Mia nodded.
“I can, she’s right next to me.”
But within a few seconds, Saturn and Jupiter burst into the den with Bear at their paws.
“BEar, go try and unlock some of the cages with your massive paws.” Saturn ordered.
Bear nodded and broke Ember’s lock.
“Get me out of here!” Splashes said sweetly.
Bear was drawn to her so he messed with her lock and got her out.
Splashes darted out of the place, making Saturn roll her eyes.
“Got it!” Jupiter exclaimed and Addie’s cage was open.
Ember darted out of her cage, instantly sprinting to Bayou’s cage. “Someone get this cage open!” She cried, uselessly pawing at the lock.
Wave rolled her eyes and froze her lock, snapping it open. She did the same for Bayou.
Ember quickly thanked Wave before running into Bayou’s cage. She sighed with relief when she realized that Bayou was breathing, and her thoughts turned to what was wrong with her. “Um, uh,” her tail twitched uncertaintly and she glanced at Addie, hoping for some help.
Addie shrugged.
“Do you feel okay?” she asked bayou.
Remy sat by the edge of the stream, staring at his paws, guilt radiated off of him as he watched the water.
Rust laid in his plastic cage, calmly listening to all the cats around him. “Stupid humans,” he muttered, touching the wire mesh door. The metal quickly turned a reddish brown. Grinning, he pushed it open and slipped out of his cage. Being careful to stay away from all metal on the floor, he hopped onto the top of his cage and stared at all the cats in surprise.
-Lilith-
Lilith and Twist walked cautiously into the clearing. Lots of cats were there. Lilith shrank back, cautiously. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”
Twist scoffed. “What’s the worst that can happen.”
Twist had hardly get the words out when a ginger she-cat ran up to them. “What are you doing here? Have you just…”
Twist nodded.
“I’m Amba. Wind power.” Amba paused for a second. “No-one asked you. Oh, sorry, I wasn’t talking to you. Ugh, just go away! Wait-no- not you… sorry…”
Twist turned away, but Lilith just nodded.
There was a cat standing next to Amba. It was silvery, and its thick fur was windswept. The figure wasn’t perfectly solid.
Lilith touched Twist’s tail. “Alright, are you sure?” He asked.
Lilith nodded.
“I’m Twist, I can make StarClan alive.”
“StarClan ?” Amba questioned, and shrugged. The silvery cat turned to face her. “Ohh… okay- if you say so.” Amba added.
Lilith paused. “Lilith.”
“She can see the invisible.” Twist added.
She gently waved her tail. Lilith walked- almost glided- towards a bracken thicket, where she settled to sleep.
She watched Amba and Twist talk, and couldn’t help but feel jealous of the weird cat with a ghost “friend”.
A tiny kit, Rain,’s ears perked when she heard the word StarClan.
“What’s this about StarClan?” she asked them, “You see them too?”
Lilith looked up from her hole in the brambles. “Why, what’s your gift?” She said sweetly.
“Yeah,” she said, “I have a paw in both worlds. When I’m asleep I’m in StarClan, but sometimes I faint when they have something to say to me.”
“Hi.” Twist said. “I’m Twist and I don’t know what you’re talking about by StarClan, but I can make dead cats come alive but only for a short while.” He dropped his voice and added, “please don’t talk to Lilith.”
“I won’t,” she promised.

Bayou mumbled something and opened one eye. When she spotted the two cats, she started trembling and struggled to move. She shuddered and pulled herself into the far back corner, her eyes wide with fear. “P-please, le-leave me a-alone.” Her chest heaved with every breath and she let out a harsh cough before her paws gave out and she collapsed onto the cage floor.
~Ember~
She stared at Bayou in surprise and took a step forward. “It’s ok, we’re here to help you get out of this place. Are you ok?” She carefully walked over to Bayou and looked her over for wounds.
~Bayou~
She coughed again before whispering, “You won’t find anything. I’m fine physically. Just leave me alone.” Her voice shook but didn’t waver as she stared at her paws.
~Ember~
She felt confused. What’s wrong with this cat? She wondered. “I’m Ember,” she meowed softly. “What’s your name?”
~Bayou~
The she-cat glared up at Ember, her strength somewhat returning. “Bayou. Now leave. Me. Alone.” She growled, curling up in the corner.
“Bayou,” a soft, sweet voice said. “Remember me? It’s Saturn.”
“We saved you from the dogs,” Jupiter said, “It’s okay.”
Saturn gave Bayou a reassuring lick.
~Bayou~
She instantly relaxed and looked up at the two of them. “It’s safe?” She asked quietly, voice trembling.
(Wait wait, I have an idea: what if Jupiter and Saturn like basically unofficially adopted Bayou ((cause she is technically a kit)) or something?)
~Ember~
She watched with amazement when Bayou listened that quick. Turning to Addie, she motioned that it might be better if they left Bayou alone for a minute.
“It’s okay, you can come out,” Saturn purred.
(sure! :D)
After a moments hesitation, Bayou stood and stumbled over to both of them, shuddering as a guest of wind ruffled her fur.
(Yay! 😁)

Jupiter licked Bayou’s ears reassuringly.
“Would you like to stay with us?” Saturn asked.
Addie followed Ember away from them.
Bayou smiled and nodded, happiness welling up inside her.
Once they were a bit away, Ember turned to Addie. “Are you ok?” She asked, still worried about her.
Saturn purred and stroked Bayou’s back.
Addie shook her head.
“I’m fine… all the emotions are giving me a headache, though.”
Bayou pressed against Saturn and a small yawn eascaped from her mouth.
Ember instantly started taking deep breaths, and after a minute, calmed her emotions down. “Is that any better?” She asked.
Saturn noticed Bayou’s yawn and said, “Let’s find somewhere to sleep.”
Saturn gently picked up Bayou by the scruff and started walking.
Addie nodded.
-Lyric-
Twolegs marched into the van. Lyric tried to ran out, but the twolegs scooped them out and carried them away.
A metal collar was forced around their neck. Lyric struggled but they were unable to get out of it. The twoleg held another metal chain which was attacked to Lyric’s collar. The twoleg pulled them, and Lyric had no choice but to carry on.
Lyrix struggled. They tried to dig their claws into the ground, but it was purely stone and they couldn’t get a grip. Lyric scratched one of their claws in the process.
Lyric was taken to a twoleg nest. They heard lots of cats wailing and meowing. Lyric shied away.
“I can’t even hear Hurricane…”
I can barely hear you. Lyric, don’t let them doing anything.
“What do you mean?”
I won’t be able to reach you when you go inside. If you’re not careful, I won’t be able to do this again. Don’t let them touch you. Don’t give in to hopelessness. Always try to find a way out. NEVER surrender.
“Never retreat.” Lyric finished.
As Lyric stepped inside, their pely wad shaken by the wind, although it wasn’t windy. Their pelt rippled, and then stopped.
“Hurricane- get… Amba.”
Lyric fell in step next to the twoleg.
Rust spotted Lyric from his hiding spot in the shadows and watched her carefully. Without thinking, he slipped out from under the bush and sat down, right in front of the human. “I’ll distract it, you get away.” He meowed, his voice silky smooth as he pretended to purr in order to trick the human.
“I’ll distract it, you get away.” Lyric muttered. They were secretly hoping that if Amba and themselves were under the presence of the two-legs who created the damage it could be reversed somehow. Anyway they didn’t want a stranger giving her unnecessary help. Lyric wasn’t useless!

Bayou didn’t protest when Saturn picked her up, letting Saturn carry her.
Ember let out a sigh and glanced at the tree line behind her. “It can’t be safe to go back… And we still need to get the others.” She glanced at the cages still locked.
Saturn and Jupiter padded until they found a nice little cave dug out in the dirt. Perhaps was once made by a fox, but it was long gone.
“Jupiter, can you get some moss?” Saturn asked, gently dropping Bayou.
Jupiter nodded and set out.
A few minutes later she was back with some moss and Saturn helped her make the nests.
“Would you like to rest?” Saturn asked Bayou.
Jupiter curled up on her own nest.
“We can’t leave them,” Addie paced outside, “Bear is still there, Rain is still there, so many people are still there.”
Addie normally was calm, but she couldn’t handle the fact they had escaped and others didn’t.
“I’m right here, Addie,” Bear said, “I got out a while ago, I was doing something with anther cat.
Addie was laying on the ground, taking deep breaths to clam herself.
Bayou nodded and sighed, already starting to fall asleep.
Ember laid her tail on Addie’s shoulder gently. “Addie’s right,” she said to Bear. “We need to get the others. But,” she glanced at Addie, “No taking any unnecessary risks. If humans start coming back, get out immediately.” She waited to see if Addie would agree to the terms.
Addie nodded, getting up shakily.
“Let’s go,” she said.

Ember took a deep breath before creeping over to the other cats still trapped. “You sure you’re ok?” She asked Addie worriedly.
“Of course,” she said, “I’m fine.”
Addie shook her head, taking a deep breath.
Ember watched her for a moment, “Try to locate as many cats as you can. Don’t be too loud, and if it starts getting to be too much, tell me.” She meowed before padding up to a cage. “Hello?” She called quietly. “Is anyone in here?”
“Get me out,” Splashes grunted, but it sounded much sweeter due to her charm.
Ember glanced back at Addie before pawing at the door. After multiple tries, she finally got it open. “Alright, now can you help us free the others?” She asked, already moving on to the next cage.
“There are few left,” she said snobbly, walking off.
(I currently don’t know what is happening in here but oh well-) Speckle curiously looked through the bars of her cage. She had been locked up in that thing forquite a while now, not seeing any living creature anywhere. I’m hungry Speckle stuck a paw through a bar, then her head, other paw, and eventuily her whole body nice she thought. Speckle set off towards a cabin after nice smell of food.
Spirit shifted her paws as her duplicate padded forward. “Go away,” it snarled at her.
Tail flicking, Spirit turned away. She would find cats, and she would prove that she didn’t need a duplicate.
Remy had been running aimlessly through the woods and grunted in surprise when he ran into Spirit. “Ah, I’m sorry!” He exclaimed apologetically. “Are you ok?”
“Oh, hi!” Spirit shifted her paws nervously. “Er, yes, I’m fine. Um… do you happen to know where everyone else is? Or are we all just seperated?”
Remy glanced behind him and sighed. “We’re separated… And some are still trapped.” He meowed sadly.

Saturn curled around Bayou, gently cleaning her (bayou) fur.
Twilight~
Twilight was in a bright room. “Where am I?'” she asked.
“Your in the expirmental zone.” a cat responded gently.
“What?” I asked.
A twoleg walked in holding a sirnge and gloves walking start trowads me. I hiss but I can’t claw him. What did they do to me?! I thought. “Help me,” were the words that I manged to choke out.
The twoleg came and held me down. Taking the sringe he injected me with it. I felt pain and wooziness. What was all I manged to think before a sharp stab of pain came and I blacked out.
Hollow scratched and tried to get out of the new cage. “HEY PUT ME DOWN” He yowled angerliy. He spotted twilight and froze “No………..NOT ANOTHER CAT YOU SICK TWOLEGS!” He hissed and dug his claws into the twolegs arm.
Claimed since no one has used this since 2022!
