Crissy calmly watched as the cages were stacked, one by one, the pile grew. she could see horrified cats through the bars. she walked along the clear wall for some, time until she stopped her reflection showed on the wall just like on her water when she would dip down to drink. but her image was different, she had crystal-like objects protruding out of her back, with several more sharp crystals forming the shape of wings. her eyes grew.
“WHAT,” she thought quietly. she ran to peeko.
”her peeko is there something coming out of my back” She asked the golden she-cat, Peeko turned to her and stumbled backwards when she saw the crystal.
” What are they” she asked quietly.
Ember continued mumbling to herself, not opening her eyes. If she did, she would have seen that her fur was glowing a dark shade of blue
Bright’s eyes glowed amber and flashed neon green. She didn’t notice it, seeing she can’t look into her eyes
(Hey you guys! Just wanted to make a quick announcement. There is an experimental residue left in the air, which is why all the cats are suddenly getting powers, so just letting you know so you can roleplay around that maybe??)
Spirit lay down in her cage. She saw Moon had fallen asleep, and suddenly felt tired. -I should go to sleep.- she thought. Spirit let out a sigh, then glanced over at Ember and did a double take. Ember’s fur was…GLOWING????!!!! Spirit gasped, then looked at Moon again and suddenly felt calm and sleepy again. -Huh?- she thought. She noticed that one of the other cats had…CRYSTALS coming out of her back and felt horrified, and noticed that the cat she was looking at had the same exact expression on her face. Spirit looked back at Moon, wondering if she should wake her up, when she felt calm and sleepy AGAIN?! -What’s happening to us?-
~Crissy~
Crissy walked over to spirit. but When she noticed the horrified look on her face. she turned around and walked back to peeko.
Spirit stared back at Crissy. She felt so bad. But what could she do? It wasn’t her fault she was feeling horrified. -I think I’m feeling other cats emotions!- she realized with a start.
~Crissy~
The she-cat suddenly felt tired, she curled into a tight ball,
“wake me when something interesting happens,” she meowed to peeko, her voice muffled from her furr, she closed her eyes and let the darkness consume her.
Ember looked up and opened her eyes slightly. She jumped at the blue hue that was surrounding her, “Help!” She yowled, “Something’s wrong!” She tried to lick the glow off without success
Tiger rushed over. “What’s happening?” he asked. “Calm down, Ember. M-maybe we can figure this out?” he looked at her with a worried expression.
Ember whimpered quietly, “I want to go home.” She whispered. She tried to claw at the cage, cutting her pad in the process. She stared up at Tiger with huge, scared eyes, “Why are we here?” She asked, words barely more than a whisper
“I-I don’t know.” he whispered. His eyes filled with tears. “I just want to go home.”
Ember resisted the urge to curl up into a ball and try to forget about everything and raised her eyes to meet Tiger’s, “my sister-” she stopped for a second and dropped her gaze again, “my sister was killed by a monster.” Her whole body trembled and she felt horror flooding through her body at the memory
Tiger gasped and instantly ran to Ember’s side, trying to ignore his own feelings. “M-my sister was washed away by a flood. I never saw her again.” he whimpered. “I feel your pain.” A tear fell from his eye. “E-everything will b-be ok.” he whispered, trying not just to comfort Ember but also himself.
Ember gently brushed her fur against Tiger’s, “I’m so sorry about your sister.” She whispered. She felt a slight calm wash over her for a second before shaking herself out of it, “What was your sister’s name?” She asked him curiously
“W-well, her name was Moon. I feel like I keep hearing her voice, but I’m sure its just my imagination. I could have sworn I heard someone talking to her, and that I’ve seen her here.” he mewed sadly. “I think there’s something wrong with me. Why is she everywhere? What’s happening?” He sighed. “I’ve been shutting myself out from everyone else it seems, and I feel like I’m missing something.”
(Tiger obviously has issues not to notice Moon there THE ENTIRE TIME 😆)
Ember perked her ears, “I know a Moon.” She meowed, getting excited, “I saw her when I was put into the monster!”
“Really! Let’s find her then.!” Tiger exclaimed.
(say they searched for her then the whole scene at the bottom ((if its moderated by then)) happens bc I’m lazy and don’t feel like rewriting something)
~Azula~
Azula, after being picked up by a not-housefolk, was unceremoniously tossed into a different cage. The not-housefolk then threw Jay in with her as well. Reaching over, Azula, scared out of her mind, grabbed the tom and held him close, falling asleep with him pressed into her chest.
-The Next Day-
~Jay~
Waking up, Jay pulled away from Azula’s grasp slowly, not wanting to wake her. She just snored and rolled over. Laughing slightly, Jay walked over to a small bowl that was filled with water, drinking a little bit. Looking back at Azula, he wondered about the others, especially the cat who had hit her head. He hoped that the not-housefolk would help her. ‘But what if they didn’t?’ He thought, starting to panic, and suddenly felt himself… flicker, and rise above the ground slightly! He screamed quietly, and then fell to the ground, thankfully solid again. Weirdly, he noticed that Azula hadn’t seen to hear him… ‘I can’t let her know.’ Jay thought, not wanting Azula to worry about him. He could worry enough for both of them.
Spirit watched Jay. For a moment he seemed to.. flicker.
-Huh. That’s weird.- she thought. She walked over to Jay. “Hey. Is everything ok?” she looked at Jay and felt… scared. -Oh no, its happening again. But why is he scared?- she thought.
Zu calmly lay in her cage, focusing on a light on the wall outside, she made it flick on and off till it’s power died out.She was bored as heck, so she started to hum, everything stacked high in her mind flowing out.
Raven glared at her. “Hey, some of us are trying to sleep here!” he growled. Regaining his composure. he purred in a voice like honey, “Please stop. Some of us would like to sleep.”
As Zu woke up she heard the tom’s yowls, and snorted.Not seeming to care at all, she just wanted to get out of here.”d-do u think we’re gonna be here forever?…She stuttered.
Zu howled as she felt a strange pinch on her leg, something sharp.She felt sleepy, and before she knew it she was fast asleep.

~Chester~
Chester woke up in a room with different cats. his eyes grew 1 had Crissy had Crystals growing out of her back, The Ember was Glowing. Bright had glowing green eyes. and moon, which was asleep had invisible paws. the only normal Cats were him Spirit and peeko. He walked over to spirit.
“What on earth is going on,” he asked with a worried look.
“I-I don’t know.” Spirit said to Chester. “Something is happening… and I have a feeling its not going to be good.” She looked away. -He doesn’t know I can feel his emotions yet. Better keep it that way.- she thought. Spirit looked up. “I have noticed something, it smells really weird in here. Maybe that’s part of the problem?” she looked worriedly at Chester. “Have you… errr… felt anything different recently?” she said, hoping she wasn’t the only one.
~Chester~
The tom sniffed the air. suddenly he felt heat build-up under his paws. he lifted one up and the area under him burst into flames, he shrieked then took a step back, four flames burned where his paws were. his eyes widened.
“Yup, I’m pretty sure I do,” he said with a bit of sarcasm in his voice.
Spirit took a step back, her eyes widening. Then she suddenly started hopping up and down. “Ouch- your paws.. They’re so hot! I’m burning!” she exclaimed. She looked away from Chester and immediately felt better. “I should have told you before.” she said, still not looking at him. “I can feel other cats emotions now.”
~Chester~
The tom’s eyes grew, his mouth fell open.
“THAT IS SO COOL” he meowed,
“Wait, so you can feel what I feel?” he said.
“That is kinda creepy, but still SO AMAZING.” He said his voice overfilled with excitement. he took a deep breath.
“We better get out of here before the twolegs come along,” he told the she-cat.
“Ok.” Spirit said. “I-I’m sorry for peeking into your emotions. That probably feels horrible, like I’m invading your privacy.” she hung her head. “Now, lets go!” she declared, trying to sound happier. She bounded toward the hole Peeko and Crissy had made, gesturing for Chester to follow.
“Who are you?” Splashkit asked the other cats
Wave pulls Splashkit away from the other cats, “Keep away!” she hissed, “No one else can hurt Splash, I don’t know you.”
“Look, we’ll get out of this, we just need a plan”Zu said as she tried to comfort the worried she.
“We?” she snorted, “I’ll find a way out myself!”
While she was arguing with the other cat, Splashkit was admiring Chester with his flames.
“I THINK I KNOW A WAY OUT!” Splashkit exclaimed, “Cat with the fire, can you burn the locks? So we can open the cage doors?”
~Chester~
Chester was playing with fire literally. he thought that it was cool, not weird that flames would burst under his paws, so he took it as it is a blessing.
“Cat with fire” he heard some one call then turned around emediatly, It was a kit.
“I have a name, and yes I probably can” he meowed. he starred most of the cats were in cages, whilst only a few where in the all white den. he waked towards the cages but got bumped by something invisible. he placed his paw on it hoping to melt it but it didn’t do anything. he Notcied Crissy, her crystals could propably open a way through.
“Wake her up” he called over to peeko, The golden she-cat nudged her a little and Crissy sprang to her feet.
“I need you to break this” he told her pointing at her crystals. as If knowing what she’s doing Crissy stomped her 2 front legs making her wings break up into 12 peaces, Not inluding the 2 wedged into her back. with a fick of her tail the crystals flew towards the Invisible barrier, and as they hit the thing chattered into a million peices. She pulled her crystals back into a Wing form and glided down to the cages, Chester and everyone else followed. Crissy struck the locks with her crystals cracking them open, Whilst Chester melted the others freeing all the cats.
Zu took that as her chance to leave and padded out, saying her thanks to the cats.At that moment tho a two leg stepped into the room, screamed, and lunged for her.But she was quicker, she ran past, brushing her tail along its leg.And plunging into its mind, the two leg suddenly stopped, and walked out.A plain expression on its face.
~Peeko~
“EVERY ONE THIS WAY” she called and ran towards a high window,
“Crissy do you think you can carry cats up there,” she said, then accidentally bumped into the fluffy she-cat. she felt things grow out of her back, she glanced or tried to glance back.
“Peeko you have crystals coming out of your back too” Said Crissy surprised. Peeko thought of something new.
“Crissy u and I need to break through this wall,” she said. Crissy nodded then, just like he did earlier, shot her crystals at the wall cracking it, Peeko copied her, and soon enough the two broke through the wall.
“I-i- I feel weird,” Splashkit says, after Wave pulls her away from the other cats, and then she passed out.
In the spirit world, Splashkit saw her mother, Pebbleheart, gazing at her
“M-mother?” Splashkit said.
“Hi, honey,” Pebbleheart said, gazing at her warmly.
“What are you doing here? What am I doing here?” Splashkit asked frantically
“Shhh. Shhh. Calm down. You just can go back and forth between the spirit world now.”
“What do you mean?”
“Look, Splashkit. I’ve got something important to tell you,”
“What is it?”
“Okay, so…” Pebbleheart said, but didn’t get to finish because Splashkit woke up.
“Wave? I just had a weird dream… I saw my mother, she said I can go back and forth through the spirit world,” Splashkit said
As Zu settled down to sleep she brushed against the cat next to her and felt herself dive thru the cat’s memory’s she screeched and jumped back, her head throbbing.”WHAT THE HECK”, Zu yelled.
(Btw if anyone here has read the darkest minds that’s where i’m getting my ideas from:D)
~Glitch~
His paw was halfway through her cage.. xe drew back when she yelled, wincing at the loud noise. “Will you quiet down some!.. My goodness..” This reminded xeir why he didn’t like other cat’s..
~Glitch~
The tom had woken up, raising xe’s head and looking around.. where was he? Xe didn’t know. The air smelled funny.. He realized xe was locked in a cage, xeir got up and walked towards the cage door.. locked. but he still tried.. his paw seemed odd. Xe tried to push to cage door open.. only for it to phase through his paw.
“Thanks, err, whats your name?” Splashkit asked Chester.
Wave pulled Splashkit out of the cages and away from the other cats

~Chester~
The tom frowned.
“I don’t know if it is ur Arrogance or ur Stupidity, But something about u tells me ur a Moron” he growled then stalked away.
Blue nodded in agreement.
“Hey… baby kit! Go back to ur momma, or you might diee!” She mewed, growling at the kit, her teeth bared.
“Oh, and you, Wave, you should go back to ur sweeheart, and we won’t touch it!”
She lashed her tail and hissed at them, and padded alongside Chester, her eyes shining. “Well, that was a defenite moron,” She purred, her voice like honey as she stared at the tom.
Moon stared at Blue and Chester with a smirk on her face. “Someone’s got a crush…” she purred teasingly. She flicked her tail at them and let out a small snicker.
~Chester~
Chester rolled his eyes.
“But you’ve got to agree,” he said.
~Chester~
The tom nodded.
“Poor kit, too bad she’s stuck with her” he said
Wave somehow froze Chester in ice, and Wave got surprised, but then hissed, “That’s what you deserve!”
(also, wave can freeze people in a block of ice, nothing can unthaw it, and it hurts. The ice melts in 10 min)
Splashkit hissed at them, “My mother died, and you guys are just jerks who don’t know what empathy is!”
“IRRITATE ME ONE MORE TIME AND YOU WILL REGRET IT! You should know, it’s because of Splash that we are out of the cages, she had the idea after watching Chester,” Wave growled
~Peeko~
The she-cat noticed the conflict.
“What the heck are you idiots doing,” she growled.
“Wave Unfreeze Chester,” she said with so more anger than she intended. she bared her teeth and pointed the crystals at all of them.
“I don’t know how I did it!” Wave hissed
– Bright- ( her eyes flash due to her emotions)
Bright rolled her eyes. It flashed red, and she looked menacingly at the she-cat.
“Great! Now once we’ve saved your sweet heart, why don’t you just go so we won’t touch your wee little baby?” She mewed, flexing her claws, fixing a bright red glare at the she-cat. Her eyes turned flashed green and flickered red, and she looked very scary.
She flicked her tail.
“Do you guys want to be kittypets, or not?” She mewed, leaping up from her cage and batting it open.
-Blue-
She snorted. “Who does?”
She leaped out, because Chester had melted it.
“Thanks, Chester, and Cryssi.” She mewed, and she leaped all the way to the door.
“Cool! i can leap very far!” She peered through a gap. “The coast is clear. I think we can go!”
Chester laid his tail on Bright’s shoulder.
“I can’t say I don’t agree but maybe be a little kinder, we might get stuck with her” he whispered then followed the cats out of the den.
-Blue- (can i change her power? i will change to hear very far)”
“Also, Tiger, if you failed to notice, Moon is, like right next to you.” She flicked her tail towards the she-cat. “Are your eyes okay?”
(Sure that’s cool but I might forget lol 😅 and I have decided Tiger has a condition where he zones out and everything becomes too overwhelming, so he goes and hides which is why he hadn’t noticed barely anyone since he was so wrapped up in that. He also unconsciously noticed Moon was there, but his brain thought she was dead and didn’t make the connection. And Moon was given something to make her sleep so she didn’t notice it either.)
Tiger-
“Huh?” He stared after the she-cat, wondering what she meant. He looked to where she had indicated. There was nobody there. Then he thought he saw a white she-cat flicker into his view, then out. Then his eyes did that.. THING again. His vision went black, and he zoned out. His memories hit him full on and he almost started wailing. -Moon was there… the whole time. And she was alive.- he couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think. he backed away from the chaos, and slowly began to shrink.
Moon- Moon finally awoke. She knew that Tiger was there, just knew and knew that the THING was happening to him. The thing they had tried to overcome. She raced to his side and curled up around him, ignoring the fact that he was shrinking wildly, then growing bigger, then shrinking. -My little brother.-
Ember stared in surprise at Tiger as he shrunk and grew before her very eyes, “Are you okay?” She asked both of them worriedly
