It’s the first annual Daily Kestrel newspaper! Please read this comment.

I don’t think everyone saw the link to this, so if no one else comes to this page, the writing team might just be us. But I’m kinda glad cuz there were so many people on the writing team I didn’t think I could make everyone a character. So anyway I forgot who wanted to write and who wanted to illustrate, so if y’all could remind me that’s be great. I just realized I never told you if I’m gonna write or illustrate! I’m gonna do both. 😊 So yah please choose if you wanna write, illustrate, or both. Here’s a little run down on what each role does:

Writers: You guys will help develop the plot and actually write the story itself. But please don’t write an entire chapter and then show up and be like “here’s a chapter I wrote!” No. We work together and write the chapters together (with the exception of the few chapters I might write alone to give you guys a feel of what is going on in that part of the book🙂)

Illustrators: DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A PICTURE BOOK OR GRAPHIC NOVEL.
Okay the illustrators do the cover art and chapter art. (By chapter art I mean the pictures above the new chapter, like how Warriors books will say “Chapter 12” and then have a picture of a cat above the Chapter 12 text.) illustrators will also help draw the characters to help the writers understand who their writing about better.

Both: Y’all can do both if you want idc

I also wanted to add I might do random contests to see who will draw the next picture or be in charge of the next chapter cuz why not and it’s fun.

Now, before you are recognized as an official member, I’m gonna ask you to prove yourself.

If you wanna be an illustrator, draw a picture of the following description:
A gold colored she-cat with fading cream colored paws, tail tip, and ear tips, a cream colored underbelly, ocean blue eyes, and cream colored swirls all over her body.

If you wanna be a writer, write a short story (3-5 paragraphs) following this prompt:
A scene where a warrior cat meets another creature (it doesn’t have to be a cat) who they think is evil but turns out to be good.

Also, quick reminder: we will most likely be doing a lot of this fanfic of google docs. As you probably know, google docs is not moderated. This does not mean you can start cussing, being rude, or talking about inappropriate things. If you start doing anything like that, you will be asked to leave the writing team.
