My brother told me he ships Bex X Keefe, and I just realized their ship name would be Beefe. 🤣 I don’t ship it, (Keephie forever!!!) but I love the name.
Isn’t Bex Dex’s little sis? They are like at least 6 years apart and don’t even know each other that well, so interesting ship.
Yeah, Bex is Dex’s sister. I think the reason people ship it is because Bex called Keefe cute in Unlocked, but they barely know each other, so it’s not likely to happen. (Thank goodness, because I’ll cry if Keefe and Sophie don’t end up together!)

I’m currently rereading KotLC and I feel like Shannon Messenger is fear-baiting us… I just get the feeling Biana has a crush on Sophie (I’m currently conflicted as to whether I ship Sophie more with Keefe or Biana) but the hints are so subtle I completely missed them on my first read when I was younger and not as observant and Shannon Messenger refuses to just state it already 🙁 If Biana ends up with Tam I’m going to be very angry >:[
I feel like Biana is going to end up with Dex rather than Tam. He just doesn’t seem like her type. Good thinking with Sophie and Biana though

Well I’ve been so busy reading between the lines that I forgot to read the actual lines it seems… Apparently, I’m supposed to think Biana likes/liked Keefe? I guess it explains why she reacts so weirdly whenever Sophie and Keefe have chemistry… And then we have a few paragraphs in Nightfall where Biana impliiiiies she has/had a crush on someone who doesn’t like her back (If it is ever confirmed that these things are referring to Keefe and not Sophie I’m gonna freak >:| )

Sophie and Keefe are talking in Sophie’s room and she begs Keefe not to lead Biana on. Keefe says he goes out of his way to make it painlessly clear to Biana that he doesn’t like her back.
Nightfall indeed. My comment is stuck in moderation but I’m pretty sure Shannon Messenger never intended to imply that Biana could be lesbian or bi but I mean it’s never confirmed that Biana hasn’t just gotten over Keefe already and could be talking about someone completely different now 😀
(I know I’m wrong about that but its a fun headcanon and to be honest my favorite Sophie ship now)

So when Sophie is registering for the match they cannot register her because her parents are unknown. Having children with someone you are related to is bad because you share more genes than is ideal with that person and having multiple copies of the same gene can cause disorders and problems and stuff. But the elves have technology capable of scanning DNA, as seen with all of the things that they lick and bleed on and whatnot, so they should just be able to scan Sophie’s DNA to see if she is genetically compatible with other people, sot they shouldn’t need to know who her parents are.

I’m crossing my fingers for Bronte to turn out not as rude and evil as most elves seem to think he is, but I’ve just read Sophie’s first inflicting lesson with him and my hopes aren’t too high 😛

(Although inflicting large amounts of pain on the 12? 13? year-old kid wasn’t really very cool… I do wonder on the mechanics of inflicting and if Bronte could have stopped after just inflicting a tiny sliver of pain or if inflicting forces you to go all out… With Sophie it generally seems to be the later but Bronte has thousands of years more experience and control than her…)

Did you know that Bronte’s name is supposed to be pronounced Bron-tay? I don’t like it. To me it sounds almost lively and jaunty or something and I prefer to pronounce it Bront. It think it has so much more of a hard edge to it that I feel suits him better.

I used to pronounce it “bront ee”
But it sounds like a faerie name so I started calling him “Bron tuh” but now I’m in the habit of “Bron tay”
