What’s your opinion on the 2019 remake of The Lion King?
We Don’t Talk About Bruno5 out of 10. they cut BE PREPARED [regarded as the best disney villain song] to like 50 seconds and made every lion look the same. Scar looks so ugly in the CGI lol, his of character design didn’t translate much
i also just didn’t have a good experience because when i went to see it there was a choir of obnoxious people singing louder than the movie and yelling a lot [smh]

We Don’t Talk About BrunoIt was… decent. It was actually the first time I had watched The Lion King in years, and resparked my interest in the film. And it was good for what it was, a realistic-looking Lion King. However, a lot of things simply weren’t translated well into realistic CGI. The unique designs, the expressions, and all of the colours of the film, they were lost in translation. And, like Dewy said, “Be Prepared” was just… bad. This epic villain song, cut to a poem barely 2 minutes long. Overall, it was fine, but it could’ve been better.
That’s pretty much how I feel about it! It was okay, but not my favorite.

It was pretty cool! I prefer the animated version though
I really don’t like it, the whole realism thing just doesn’t work for me when it just looks… way better visually in the animated style. The realistic models don’t show any emotion and it makes the characters fall flat IMO. The songs i also feel were worse (be prepared got done wrong). It was mostly a shot for shot remake of the original but ~realistic~ which i repeat so much because that was basically their main selling point for the movie, never mind the fact that this is a movie about talking, singing animals and you really can’t make that realistic and overall i think it was completely unnecessary
I enjoyed watching The Lion King in school so we could write an essay on it more than the live action, which says a lot.
I didn’t watch the remake, but I loved the original one 😛

We Don’t Talk About BrunoI love Moana! For a while, it was my younger brother’s favorite movie. I simply adore the music and the plot is fascinating.
Not one of my overall favourites but still very good!
Maui is amazing, Moana is cool and I always watch it and forget there is a plot.

cant really say bc i only saw the first 3 minutes of it and then turned it off bc it was christmas and the film felt too summery.

I still lowkey like it, but it’s the same with Tangled, where my sister plays it over and over and sings it all the time, so it got to me. Before that, it was really good. 🙂

Its great and Tiana and Naveen are my favourite Disney movie couple.
Quite an underrated Disney film, and one of the last from them that features 2D Hand-drawn Animation, if I remember correctly.
I remember seeing the teaser trailer for it on a Disney DVD in 2009 when I was about eight and when it said it was coming out the year after in 2010, I thought ‘Wow, that’s a while away! How can I wait that long?’
Time felt like it moved more slowly back then. 😛
