[a full-body design of Hawkfrost]
Good morning/night everyone! today i’ll be interviewing Ravenrose (Nightspirit at the time) about Hawkfrost since we felt there weren’t many articles about him. I hope you enjoy!
me: First question! do you think Hawkfrost was a good villain for the plot?
Ravenrose: Yes! The way he tried to get Brambleclaw/star to kill Firestar made the perfect villain. He wanted to be as evil as his father and tried to make him proud. But when he died he didn’t stop! He trained Ivyheart in the dark forest and lied to her. I pretty much hate him and feel bad for Sasha, but he was the perfect villain!! It makes readers hate him and keep reading just to see him get fully defeated, which is just perfect 🙂
me: next question! do you ship Hawk x Ivy?
Ravenrose: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Sorry to those who ship those two, but to me it just doesn’t make ANY sense! Firstly, the AgE GaP. When the two met, Hawkfrost had BEEN a warrior and Ivypool was just an apprentice. And then when Ivypool found out about the Dark Forest invasion and stuff, she hated him! That’s not love, excuse me.
me: do you think it was good for Hawkfrost to fake a sign to make mothwing a med-cat?
Ravenrose: Well, he sort of has a good reason to fake the sign, but at the same time he should have not done it. I mean, Mothwing could simply tell the clan leader what he did, and he would be exposed. If I were Hawkfrost at the time I would have tried to reason with the clan leader rather than spreading a lie. That would just make the clan more suspicious.
meME: do you think Hawkfrost ever felt a brotherly connection with Brambleclaw/star?
Ravenrose: Not really. Maybe a little when they were (sort of) teaming up, but overall Hawkfrost never seemed to care. I believe the only connection they felt, or at least Hawkfrost felt, was hate. Besides, they never met each other until a while.
me: do you think Hawkfrost could have made a good deputy if Mistystar/foot hadn’t come back, and if he wasn’t so power-hungry?
Ravenrose: Yes, but at the same time no. Yes because he was always loyal to his clan, sticking to orders and stuff like that. No, because he was less of a peaceful cat, which would mean that he would always lanch into battle. So I’m going to settle with no, he wouldn’t make such a great leader.
do you think he was always evil, or do you think it was the environment he was in that made him more evil?
I think it was the environment. He was such a sweet kit, but the Clan’s suspition (idk how to spell it…) made him angry. He was also influenced by Tigerstar 1, his father. So really, if he kept his life with Sasha, I think he would be a good cat.
me: although he didn’t seem to care for any cat, do you think he felt affection for his sister, Mothwing?
Ravenrose: When he was a kit, yes, but towards the end no. As a kit he was so kind and friendly and gentle with Moth. Towards the end? He became more evil by the second. Soon, he didn’t care for his sister one bit, at least that is what I think.
well, that’s it! I hope you enjoyed reading. what do you think about Hawkfrost? I’d love to know what you think! until then, may Starclan light your path!
