Heya peoples and non-peoples! This is the article where I, Jacki the Great 😌, am going to tell yall my opinion on the (apart from Lionblaze) probably most basic Warriors character ever, Firestar!

So, as for my general thoughts on him, I think he’s nice and I like him, but to be honest, that probably just because of the nostaliga 😛 He’s a very basic character imo, and he is almost flawless. Let’s start with the stuff I don’t like about him:

1. He seems to think disabled cats can’t be warriors. It was Cloudtail’s idea to train Brightheart, for example. And what about Cinderpelt? Sure, she couldn’t walk properly, but hear me out: DEADFOOT! He became deputy with a disabled paw! Come on Fireboi, give the girl a try!

2. He’s just too… what should I say, peaceful? Like, sure, no one wants war, but he’s just too obsessed with peace imo. Boy, sometimes you’ll have to fight! You’re leading a Clan! You’re a warrior! What did you expect? Of course, this is a good thing in most cases, but I feel like at times ThunderClan have gotten disadvantage because of this, since it sometimes feels like Firestar doesn’t prepare the Clan properly for a battle when it’s necessary. Like, I can only remember ONE time he’s started a battle! (But I have terrible memory so that doesn’t mean anything really)

3. He isn’t very nice to Sandstorm. Don’t get me wrong now, he was a good mate and I think he was one of the best fathers in Warriors, but if you’ve read Firestar’s Quest, you get what I mean. He’s just too obsessive with Spottedleaf. I feel like he’s still expressing his romantic feelings for her a long time after he became mates with Sandstorm, which just feels terribly mean.

4. He’s very black-and-white. I may be wrong here, but I feel like there’s a lot of “sides” in his world. Strong and weak cats, good and evil cats. I don’t really think that’s true. He doesn’t really see through the villains, and is just like “ooh that cat is evil Ima kill him” which could be good, but also isn’t so interesting.

Now, to move on to the stuff I do like about him:

1. His father skills 😛 Idk, I just think he seems like a great dad, and I think it’s really cute how he likes kits so much. Here’s a quote from Sandstorm: never mind I couldn’t find it. Instead I found this awesome quote: “Didn’t you see the bramble thicket in front of you?” “Oh, sure,” Ivypool muttered. “I just walked into it for fun.” Anyways, that was off-topic, where were I… right. The Sandstorm quote went something like this: “You’ve always been fond of kits, Firestar. We should have had more.” Which, idk, it’s just so cute 😊

2. He’s a classic. Yep, the nostalgia thing. What can I say, I fall for nostalgia all the time… *cough* Dinosaur Train *cough* I mean, like, Firestar is the first main POV! I can’t dislike him, that would be like… like… (sorry I can’t come up with a good argument here, since I sort of dislike a lot of main POV characters, like Harry Pottah) (Why do you pronounce it like that, btw? Pottah? It makes no sense, lol)

3. He brought peace. I know I technically put this on the negative points as well, but as I mentioned there, it’s a good thing, too. He brought a lot of stability to the Clans, and probably solved some stuff out before it turned into a battle.

4. He’s really determined! Fireboi would never give up, ever! “I’m going to rescue WindClan.” “I’m going to kill Scourge.” “I’m going to defeat Tigerstar.” “I’m going to prevent war.” “I’m going to prevent war.” “I’m going to prevent war.” “I’m going to prevent war.”
