Today, since I’m a HUGE Billy Joel fan, I’m going to be matching his songs with different warriors. I’m extremely curious to see how this goes………..

We Didn’t Start The Fire: Okay, this one is pretty obvious: Firestar. I mean, you have the prophecy, fire alone will save our clan! Also, his prefix is Fire-. That makes it pretty obvious.

My Life: Not quite sure, but I would say Graystripe. It kinda represents his laid-back personality and the fact that the song goes: “I don’t care what you say anymore, this is my life!” It makes me think of how, even though he was going against the warrior code, he mated with Silverstream anyway. He didn’t care what anyone thought of him.

An Innocent Man: What about……Tigerstar? I think it would match him because he was always like: I’m innocent! I never did anything! (Not an actual quote……probably) So basically the name of the song is the exact opposite of his personality.

Tell Her About It: I’m thinking……Rootspring. Even though he and Bristlefrost did know what they felt for each other, she and Rootspring never became mates. Rootspring never told her that he wanted to join Thunderclan. That’s the main reason I think he matches with that song.

Honesty: Probably Squirrelstar. She is feisty, yes, but that also means she’s very honest about her opinion. She’s also very loyal and compassionate.

Pressure- YES!!! I know this one! It’s Ravenpaw! Think about it: His mentor was Tigerclaw(star) and he put a lot of pressure on him which led him to running away to Barley’s farm. Also the song goes “You can’t handle pressure!” I think it describes him really well.

Piano Man- I would probably say Riverstar. A part of the song goes: “He knows it’s been me they’ve been coming to see, to forget about life for a while!” Since he says, to forget about life for a while, I think of how he meditates to forget about his life for a while. (You get it?)

It’s Still Rock And Roll To Me: So I’m thinking…….Twigbranch. The reason I think she matches this song is because in the song he goes: “Hot funk, cool punk, even if it’s old junk, it’s still rock and roll to me!”
So basically, Twigbranch switched Clans a lot to be with Finleap, right? So when he says all of the different kind of rock and roll, it doesn’t seem like he cares what he listens to as long as it’s rock and roll. Twigbranch didn’t care what Clan she was in, as long as she was with Finleap. (See the connection?)

Vienna: The first one I can think of is Spider Paw. The song goes: “Slow down, you crazy child! You’re so ambitious, for a juvenile.” Spider Paw was always very excited and wanted to zoom through everything. (I can’t really blame him!)

Turn The Lights Back On: So the song goes “I’m late, but I’m here right now!” I’m thinking that after Rainflower went into StarClan she realized that she took it to far with Crookedstar so now she’s saying that she wants to be with Shellheart again and that she was sorry that she did that.

She’s Always A Woman To Me: Sandstorm! So Sandstorm at first didn’t like Firestar, but then she saw more than what he used to be. (A kittypet) A part of the song goes: “She takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants, she’s ahead of her time. She never gives out, and she never gives in she just changes her mind.” It’s kind of like how Sandstorm had very mixed feelings for Firestar and she changed her mind.

You May Be Right: Goosefeather! I think it would be him because the song goes “You may be right, I may be crazy!” Goosefeather went a little crazy with all of the prophecies he thought were right. His secret ability to see ghosts also made him go a little nuts. (I’m not saying he’s a bad cat though!)

Angry Young Man: Ok, this one is kinda obvious. It’s Jayfeather! If you think about it, Jayfeather is a young cat and he is very sarcastic. This whole song describes Jayfeather pretty well!

Big Shot: This one had GOT to be Skystar y’all! The song is all about how someone spent the whole night telling everyone what he knew…..show off. Skystar was always in a rush to show other cat what he could do.

The Downeaster “Alexa”: Um……Tree! This song really applies to any loner because it’s about his boat. And guess what you do on a boat: you drive around, right!?!? So basically Tree traveled like the boat. That’s really the best I can explain it.

Lullaby (Goodnight My Angel): So really this applies to any queen but the first that popped into my mind was Ferncloud. She was a very kind and caring cat and would do anything for any of her kits. The song goes: “Good night my angel now it’s time to sleep, time to close your eyes and save these questions for another day.” I think that describes her very well.

And now for the ULTIMATE Billy Joel song that is PERFECT for Warriors…….

Goodnight Saigon: So really, this song is about the Vietnam War. (I think) Although, if you listen to the lyrics it’s perfect for warriors. Here are some of the lyrics: “And we would all go down together! We said we’d all go down together! Yes, we’d all go down together!” Or….. “And who was wrong? Who was right? It didn’t matter in the thick of fight!” So yes! I’m my opinion this is a good song for Warriors.
