Analyzing Ferncloud’s Family Tree by Firekit

Firekit takes a look at Ferncloud’s relatives.

It’s me, Firekit, and I’m back with yet another article!
This time, it’s analyzing Ferncloud’s family tree!
Now, without further ado, let’s take a look!

Ferncloud was born to Brindleface and Whitestorm, alongside her littermates, Ashfur, Elderkit, and Tulipkit. Unfortunately, Elderkit died shortly after his birth due to weakness. Not long after Elderkit’s death, Tulipkit caught greencough and died, too. Ferncloud and Ashfur were the only cats of Brindleface’s second litter to survive. Now, let’s take a look at Brindleface’s first litter.

Brindleface’s first litter contained Sandstorm. A lot of people would think that would make Ferncloud, Ashfur, and Sandstorm all siblings, but that is incorrect. Brindleface’s first mate was Redtail, and had Sandstorm with him. But after Redtail died, Brindleface mated for a second time, and that was with Whitestorm. Brindleface had Ferncloud and Ashfur with Whitestorm, making Ferncloud, Ashfur, and Sandstorm half-siblings. But Ferncloud has many more half-siblings.

After Tigerstar 1 killed Brindleface, Whitestorm mated with Willowpelt, meaning that she was Ferncloud’s stepmother. Willowpelt’s first litter contained Graystripe and Darkstripe, meaning they were Ferncloud’s half-siblings as well. Willowpelt’s second and final litter included Sootfur, Rainwhisker, and Sorreltail, meaning more half-siblings for Ferncloud. Now let’s dive into Ferncloud’s grandparents!

Brindleface’s mother is Robinwing and her father is Fuzzypelt, making them Ferncloud’s grandparents. Whitestorm’s mother is Snowfur and his father is Thistleclaw, making them Ferncloud’s grandparents as well. Now let’s take a look at Ferncloud’s aunts and uncles!

Frostfur, Dustpelt, and Ravenpaw are Brindleface’s siblings, meaning they are Ferncloud’s aunt and uncles. Brindleface’s half-brother is Longtail, and Longtail’s father is Patchpelt, meaning those two are Ferncloud’s step uncle and stepfather. Whitestorm does not have any siblings, though his foster siblings are Mistystar, Stonefur, and Mosskit, meaning they are Ferncloud’s foster aunts and uncle. Speaking of foster family, let’s talk a little bit more about that.

Whitestorm’s mother is Snowfur, but his foster mother is Bluestar. As I said before, Ferncloud’s foster aunts and uncle are Mistystar, Stonefur, and Mosskit. Now let’s talk more about Ferncloud’s mate.

Ferncloud’s mate is Dustpelt, her own uncle. I highly despise closely blood-related mates, but I have to admit, these two are pretty cute together. Even when Ferncloud was still a ‘paw, she had the biggest crush on Dustpelt! Now let’s take a look at Ferncloud’s kits.

Ferncloud had many kits in her lifetime, but let’s start with her first litter, consisting of Spiderleg and Shrewpaw. Unfortunately, Shrewpaw got hit by a monster on the Thunderpath. Ferncloud’s second litter contained Larchkit, Hollykit, and Birchfall. Larchkit died from starvation, and Hollykit died for the same reason not long after, making Birchfall the only survivor. Ferncloud’s third and final litter consisted of Foxleap and Icecloud. Now let’s move on to Ferncloud’s cousins.

Ferncloud’s cousins are Cinderpelt, Brightheart, Thornclaw, and Brackenfur. All four of them were born to Frostfur and Lionheart. Now let’s take a look at Ferncloud’s grandkits.

Ferncloud’s grandkits are Toadstep, Rosepetal, Ivypool, and Dovewing. Toadstep and Rosepetal were born to Daisy and Spiderleg, and their half-siblings are Hazeltail, Berrynose, Mousewhisker, Ivypool, Beetlewing, Yewleaf, and Antwhisker. Ivypool and Dovewing’s parents are Birchfall and Whitewing. Now let’s talk a bit more about Ferncloud’s great-aunts and great-uncles.

Snowfur’s sister is Bluestar and Thistleclaw’s sisters are Rosetail and Sweetpaw, making all three of them Ferncloud’s great-aunts. Robinwing and Fuzzypelt do not have any known blood-related siblings. Now let’s dive into Ferncloud’s great-grandkits!

Ferncloud has a lot of great-grandkits, so I’m going to simplify it and just give you the full list of her great-grandkits: Shadowsight, Flipclaw, Birchpaw, Rowankit, Lightleap, Pouncestep, Bristlefrost, and Thriftear.
