Rosefern wonders what things wouldn’t have happened if Brightpaw never encountered the dog pack.

Hey guysssss! Rosefern here!
This is something that just popped into my head right now and I just realized would have a big impact on the series.
Whatif, when Swiftpaw invited Brightpaw to go track down the dogs, Brightpaw had said no?
So for the sake of this article we’re going to assume there’s no fait kinda thing and that StarClan didn’t just make another plan for their prophecy.
If Brightpaw had said no, Swiftpaw might’ve still gotten killed. Everyone would wonder where he was which would probably make Bluestar even worse. She might have even found out that Brightpaw had decided not to go with, and she might have blamed her.
Then Brightpaw wouldn’t have met Cloudpaw/tail and become as close. They wouldn’t have become mates, which means Whitewing would’ve been born. If Whitewing didn’t exist, neither would Dovewing or Ivypool.
Without them the tree would’ve wrecked the ThunderClan camp even more and killed or crippled a lot more cats, because there would be no Dovewing to sense that it was coming.
Without them the Clans wouldn’t exist because there was no Dovewing to tell where they were and no Ivypool to teach them DF battle moves.
Oh and also Hollyleaf would never have come back to the Clans because there would be no Dovewing or Ivypool to get lost in the tunnels. Which means Hollyleaf wouldn’t have showed them out, and she never would’ve been able to tell Leafpool how much she loved her. She might still be alive in the tunnels, and she would’ve stayed with Fallen Leaves and had really cute kittens together!!!
But since this is kind of short let’s actually assume the Clans did win the Great Battle, somehow. It would’ve been way closer without Dovewing and Ivypool.
But let’s go down another path. Without dovewing the entirety of Tigerheart’s Shadow wouldn’t exist. Dovewing would’ve still been in ThunderClan, which meant when Nightheart left for ShadowClan in Shadow, there would’ve been no one there to support him like Dovewing did, no one to tell him that it would be a good idea to go back to ThunderClan and say a proper goodbye. My headcanon is that this goodbye was what made Sparkpelt realize that she really missed Nightheart and had been a horrible mother to him. I also think that Sparkpelt’s welcome when Nightheart came home is what convinced him to stay, so if it weren’t for that, Nightheart who is soooo indicisive and can’t make up his mind would’ve gone back to ShadowClan. with Berryheart and her followers being horrible to him in ShadowClan, he might’ve been caught in between and become a rogue.
No Dovewing in ShadowClan also means no Shadowsight. Shadowsight played a key role in saving the Clans from Ashfur. Maybe if he didn’t exist, StarClan would still be blocked off. The warrior code wouldn’t have been changed, which means Nightheart would’ve been breaking the code when he came to ShadowClan. Berryheart would’ve been wAy harsher on him and might’ve even killed him, and then no Nightheart.
Without StarClan, Riverstar couldn’t have come to Frostpaw and help her find the park, but that wouldn’t really have much effect, in my oppinion the journey to the roots of RiverClan was just to fill up book space while the Erins thought of an actual plot.
But then Riverstar wouldn’t be able to to tell Frostpaw that Splashtail and Curlfeather were both evil. Frostpaw might still not know or she might have found out in the much worse way when Splashtail takes over the Clan by force and possibly kills her.
All this because Brightheart as an apprentice, said no to an expedition that would get half her face torn off. Guess it’s a good thing she said yes, huh?
Thank you for coming to my ted talk 😉 byeee!
