  • *Sighs* “Why foes there have to be something dangerous, I just wanna become a warrior already like Sparrowspot and Ashwing.” Jaypaw muttered as a a light brown tom with hazel eyes walked up it was his mentor Fernsplash.

    “Whats wrong Jaypaw” he asked the young tom. “Well, with the wolves in the forest we wont be able to train as much and I wont be a warrior soon.” He said sadly.

    “You’ll be a warrior before you know it Jaypaw, tomorrow you’ll be 10 moons and I will give you your assessment and we’ll see if you pass i’ll tell Dreamstar, ok little Jaypaw?” Fernsplash could always cheer him up. “Alright.”

    The two slept that night and woke to the birds singing. “Perfect day for an assessment.” fernsplash said. “Yeah lets go now!”
    “Alright alright.” Fernsplash said and they walked into the forest cautiously.

    Fernsplash went to the bushes and Jaypaw hunted, she crept forward killing a few mice and a squirrel. He heard a growl coming from behind him and turned to see a wolf staring right at him. He unsheathed his claws ready to fight.

    It leapt at him and he dodged away but it scratched his side and he yelped with pain. “Jaypaw!” Fernsplash leapt out of the bushes landing on the wolfa back while Jaypaw bit its legs and it let out a growl of fury throwing Fernsplash off and kicking Jaypaw away. They scrambled back up limping as they fought until the wolf turned tail and fled.

    They headed back to camp and limped into the cave.
