Hi Melody! I’m here to deliver some exciting TSGN news 💌

You will be part of TSGN as a Character Designer for Chapter 3! You are responsible for creating character designs for characters that newly appear in the assigned part who DO NOT have a reference, but DO have a description. These designs will be based on character name, description and artist’s choice. You are allowed to use bases, as long as you credit the creator of the base.
You are responsible for creating a design for Rainpaw/song, a silver-and-white tabby she-cat with blue eyes who appears in Chapter 3 (https://blogclan.katecary.co.uk/2013/09/03/trailing-stars-chapter-3-by-hawksky/). Feel free to read the chapter to getting a better sense of Rainpaw’s character!

Character Designer Guidelines
Rule number one is: good communication! Please let us know if anything comes up that might cause delay – you are allowed a one week extension, and if you are still unable to complete your part, you can pass on it for now and get assigned a new part at a later time 🙂

Style: You can use digital art or traditional. Feel free to utilize your unique style! Please follow the official character references as closely as possible, as shown in the spreadsheet attached on the TSGN Resources.

Schedule: Your full schedule is 1 week long, and starts July 1st, though you can certainly start your part before then. There will not be a check in for this role, so be sure you can commit to this role, and that you’re on top of your part!
– Your part should be complete by July 8th.
– All roles are allowed an extension of 1 week – please let us know ASAP if you need one!
– Since character designers have a unique role, you can postpone the beginning of your assignment if needed – again, let us know ASAP if you need to do this, and if you do, please don’t push it past July 15th!
