Lichenkit fiddled with a stalk of grass as she gazed over the PlantClan camp. She watched as the warriors deposited their prey on the fresh-kill pile. Somehow that future didn’t tempt her like it tempted her sister, Maplekit. She watched as the deputy talked with their leader, Ryestar, and looked away. Not that path either. Suddenly, their medicine cat, Tulipsnow, started walking towards her, and Lichenkit felt a happy little twinge in her heart. That was her path.
Hollypaw, PlantClan’s medicine apprentice accidentally ran into Lichenkit.
“Oh, sorry!” she said. startled, dropping the herbs in her mouth.
Hollypaw began to pick them up.
“That’s fine!” Lichenkit said. “Want some help?”
Hollypaw laughed, “Sure.”
