I do encourage everyone to read it and reflect on it, even if you feel like you weren’t involved. We’ll be approving most of the comments on this page now while still keeping an eye on things.   • I’m so sorry for the long silence! I’ve had 11 tests in the last two weeks, but I’m going to try to be more active.

    Since Sols appears to be inactive for now, anyone who wants the chapter can comment here.

    Also, due to aforementioned tests, the secret project had to be temporary paused but things are now up and running! We probably won’t get it done by the end of the year, but it will probably be finished in early 2025.

  • I missed the date by a couple days, but-

    Happy two years of ADC!! It’s truly a commandment to all the hard work of members past, and present that this project has not only survived, but thrived for this long. It’s been so fun being a part of this project, and I can’t wait to see where it goes in the future!!

    • Happy 2nd Anniversary of A Destiny Calling! We’ve achieved so many great milestones in the past 2 years; 25 chapters with a total of 235 pages, five short stories, and a collection of art! I have so many memorable moments while collaborating, and it’s been a huge honour working with all of you talented writers. I truly hope that this incredible project can continue for many years to come.

  • I’m sorry for the inactivity burst, everyone, midterms fell from the sky.

    A sneak peak of the secret project is coming soon. Lionpaw will probably post it next week. We’re about 1/3rd of the way done, with a long pause taken because of the previously mentioned midterms.

    If anyone wants to write the chapter, they can. I’m excited to see how ADC ends as we bring this 2 year journey to a close. I hope to become more active than only 2 days a week (if I even remember to get on) in the future. I’m trying to find a way, because I want to be able to focus on my storytelling abilities. (I haven’t written anything since summer, which was The Lonely Shoreline before the dreaded 2-chapter burnout that always seems to happen.)

    I know this might sound like an excuse, but I really care about this project and everyone in it. Lionpaw and I are going to put the secret project and the secret project and its trailer into high gear so that we can get it out to you all soon. ^^

    • Happy Holidays to you as well! It’s always very exciting to hear an update on the secret project. Hoping your midterms went well (:

      I managed to write a potential chapter today (I was just compiling some ideas and then they all sort of converged together!) I’d appreciate if you could read it, and tell me if there’s any parts you like changed. Each chapter feels like it’s bringing us closer and closer to our finale, and I can’t wait to see where the next writer takes us!

      The inactivity was totally fine, I hope you did well on your exams. I’m thrilled to hear that progress is being made on the secret project.

      I, and hopefully many other members of ADC understand your passion for this, even if real life events get in the way many times. It’s already great that we’ve continued working on this for 2 years. (:

      I can relate to your writing burnouts, and it’s hard to balance it with everything else. Keep in mind that it’s natural to feel this way, writing, and many other skills take a lot of time to develop so there’s no need to feel rushed.

      1. What are your most valuable memories or achievements of 2024? This was a fairly busy year for me! I devoted a lot of time and energy towards my studies, and the work seemed to pay off. On the blog, I got the opportunity to be a clanniversary helper, which I’ve genuinely enjoyed.

      2. How did you spend your holidays? Mostly I just took the time to spend with family. It has been a nice change of pace from the business of usual life.

      3. What are you looking forward to in 2025? I think 2025 will bring a lot of changes in my life! I’m a bit apprehensive for how the year will turn out, but excited nonetheless to see how everything pans out.

    • Incredibly late to the questions, given the first month of 2025 is almost over, but here we go!

      1. Joining my high school band, finishing all of our football games (and now, our basketball games), and making tons of new friends in my new classes. I also treasure all the moments I spent at my old school, with all of my friends and my boyfriend. All of our band stuff, for sure, even though middle school band is an absolute mess 😛

      2. Relaxing, thank goodness! I hung out with my best friend Foggi for New Year’s

      3. Some fun webtoons, the release of deltarune chapters 3 & 4, Stranger Things season five, completing freshman year and becoming a sophomore, all the awesome band stuff in our future, and my birthday, because we have a roadtrip idea planned for a party (much more fun for me than gathering a ton of friends at my house – learned my lesson from last year. Way too many people)

I’m super sorry I haven’t been all that active on here for the past few months, things have just been really busy lately, both with school and extracurriculars so it’ll probably be a while until I’m able to be completely active on here! I’m hoping that by the time summer comes I can comment on here more frequently and help again with the fic! sorry again, ily all! <3
