Welcome to the camp of OceanClan!
Feel free to jump into one of the camp’s many shallow pools laying around! If you aren’t in the mood for getting wet, you can bask in the sun on OceanClan’s Sand Rocks!
Are you on a border patrol? Patrols like that have to swim to the main land where the other Clans are. Hope you like getting wet! That happens a lot here in OceanClan!
Hungry? Try fresh fish, crab, frog, or shrimp! 😋
Skymist smiled on her cave. She liked the underwater part, especifically. It was always wet and pleasing, warm and calm. It always gave her the impression her pelt was fluttering, when it was just water. But the herbs usually stayed on the afloat part, and were only taken down on bubbles and shells to protect them from getting too wet. She stared at the azure-blue ocean calmly. Then her paws swam to the surface.
The sun was rising still, and the sky was sunset-red, as the ocean had turned on Skymist’s way to the surface. She wondered if there was anything for her to eat, but she liked catching her own prey anyways. Shrimp was probably her favorite, salmon coming close after. She started to swim, stalking a newly seen fish, and she pushed her body down to the water. Now she was bellow the fish, and she could see it was a red snapper. Her mouth watered. She gave it a hard slash, and the fish gasped. She took the still-alive fish to the udnerwater den, and gave it some poppy seeds. Maybe other cats found the way she hunted odd. But Skymist didn’t wish her prey to suffer on its death. She ate the red snapper after it had died peacefully on sleep, and she thought to herself how delicious it was.
Coralstar walked into the den, her gaze worried. Her paw steps were unsteady as she walked her way over to Skymist. She looked at the poppy seeds and fish bones with a unreadable expression.
“I’m sorry to bother you Skymist, but I was wondering if you could decode a dream for me,” Coralstar meowed, fidgeting.
“Of course!”, Skymist said calmly. She gazed at the she-cat like Skymist’s eyes hid the secrets of the stars. “Sit down.”, she said. “And then tell me about that dream.”
“Well,” Coralstar meowed, fidgeting her paws.
“I was standing in a shady clearing, but something seemed wrong. There was no moon, no stars, just pure darkness. The only thing I could see was glowing fungus. Then a cat with scars all over its face and body lunged at a group of cats. He had dried blood on his flanks and a nasty smell rose off of him. He killed one cat after the other, and the clearing was soaked with blood. He didn’t care if it was a kit or an elder. Millions of cats were drowning in the blood, and I was frozen in place. Then my claws slashed out. MY claws, Skymist.”
“My claws…” Coralstar’s voice trembled. “My claws slashed out at a kit, and I tried to stop, but…I couldn’t control what I was doing. And then the kit collapsed at my paws.”
Coralstar frowned, tears forming. “It was so horrible…”
“That could be two things”, Skymist said. “One: You were having a nightmare because you are worried about putting your Clan in danger, and two: It was an actual sign. Well, if it was a sign, it could be the Dark Forest, or something else related with darkness…”, Skymist stopped. “Rippleberry said she found you on the beach after you had run away from rogues. Those rogues…”, she looked at Coralstar with suddenly wise eyes. “…They were named Shades, weren’t they?” (Rippleberry was Skymist’s mentor)
Coralstar trembled at the name of her group.
“Yes, they were called t…the Shades.”
“Could the darkness actually be the Shades? I thought they would never come back.”
Skymist stared at her. “You said you slashed out a kit”, she reminded her gently. “And that must have caused blood on your paws. Blood on white….”, she looked up. “Does that remind you of a name?”
Coralstar froze. A name started coming to the front of her mind…one that she had tried to hide for years.
“Blood Moon?”
Skymist stared at her for a while before nodding. “Sleep on it”, she told her gently. “Don’t worry about it now.” She turned away and swam to the udnerwater cave, where she slept. She closed her eyes, and – even thought it was morning – slept, shoving away any worriers. (Can you accept my otehr characters, please?)
Coralstar nodded, then walked to her den. If the Shades came back, she knew she would have her revenge.
(yes, I will accept. Sorry about the late comment, this RP needs more players so I’m going to try to get more ppl)
