Hey, it’s Dawnpaw/song here with an article: why Yellowfang was right to be a medicine cat. So, here is what would happen if Yellowfang became a warrior: The Clans no longer exist. The Dark Forest starts a battle with StarClan, and every last cat fades away forever. Why does this happen? Let’s dive into it now before I get too carried away.

Yellowfang remains a warrior. She becomes mates with Raggedpelt and because StarClan is not mad, because she is not breaking any rules, she gives birth to three, fine, healthy young kits, named Wishkit, Hopekit, and Snapkit. The three of them are apprenticed to be warriors, and because Brokenstar’s cruelty never happened and no early training kits (Snapkit is Brokenkit) no early apprenticed cats died, and Spottedleaf never died. This seems good, right? ShadowClan is all right, ThunderClan is all right, right? Well, this is not true. Let’s check in on ThunderClan again.

Because Bluestar is not pressured to train kits early, she waits until Frostfur’s kits, Cinderkit, Brackenkit, Thornkit, and Brightkit are all six moons old, and assigned them all mentors: Cinderpaw to Fireheart, Brackenpaw to Graystripe, Thornpaw to Mousefur, and Brightpaw to Whitestorm. When Tigerclaw sets up the trap for Bluestar, Cinderpaw wants to go to the Thunderpath, but Fireheart forbids her. Cinderpaw is old enough to understand, and she half-heartedly remains in camp, so she never goes to the Thunderpath. She. Never. Gets. Hit. Soon enough, they all receive their warrior names, Cinderflame, Brackenfur, Thornclaw, and Brightheart, because she gets mauled by dogs sometime later on. Going back in time, while Silverstream is kitting at Sunningrocks, Graystripe tells Fireheart to get Spottedleaf, but Fireheart is not fast enough, and because no medicine Cinderpaw to show up, Silverstream, Featherkit, and Stormkit all die. Which this is a bad thing. Not only that, when TigerClan is formed, Tigerstar kills both Stonefur and Mistyfoot at the same time. Sometime later on, the prophecy about the silver cat is never made. There is no Feathertail to complete the prophecy. Instead, only Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Tawnypelt, and Crowpaw go to the Tribe of Rushing Water, no RiverClan representatives whatsoever. Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Tawnypelt, and Crowpaw all do their best to kill Sharptooth, but they all die, and the Tribe of Rushing Water were killed off. The Clans continue waiting for the cats to get back, but they don’t. The Twolegs destroy the forest territories, killing off every cat still there. As a result, the Clans all ascend/descend to StarClan/Dark Forest. The Dark Forest engages a battle with StarClan, and very few cats survive. With no living cats at all to remember them, StarClan eventually permanently disappears forever, along with the Dark Forest. Nothing is left of the Clans. The only ones who remember their memory is the Tribe of Endless Hunting, but they have nothing to do. They simply chat half-heartedly, nothing else to do.

So, in my opinion, Yellowfang was right to choose the path of a medicine cat, otherwise, the Clans would not survive. Dawny out! (Salutes)
