  • Quite happy with myself. 😀 Managed to finish off Chapter 12 of my FanFic and do Chapter 13. They’re both shorter than usual, but they were kinda meant to be anyway. Still need to edit, though. 😛 But I’m looking forward to publishing them both; there’s some real interesting and revealing stuff in them! 😀

  • Hey guys.

    I know the blurb for Shattered Sky has been released, and some of you will want to comment about it. I don’t want to read the blurb yet and be spoiled for it, especially when Book Two isn’t even out yet. So if you’re commenting with spoilers for Book Three, would you mind putting a little “SPOILERS FOR BOOK THREE” or something at the top and bottom of your comment? Sorry if it seems a bit to ask, but if you add that to your comment, I’ll know not to read your comment too closely when moderating. It would just be nice if you did. ^^

    Avos book three is The Shattered Sky. The blurb was released on the Warriors wiki.

    Hawkwing’s Journey is the ninth Super Edition, and it’s blurb was released on the Warriors wiki.

    The new set of three novellas is called Legends of the Clans.

    • Awesome! I like the pose and the colours/shading, especially for the moon’s edge. The thing I really like is how you’ve shaped the grass, I’m not sure if it’s all in that direction, however, it gives a sense of fast movement, if you get what I’m saying. 😛 And get well soon! 🙂

  • NO SPOILERS FOR BOOKS BEYOND TAQ, <BUT SPOILERS FOR THAT ONE.
    In reference to the release of the blurb for Shattered Sky, I find it so ridiculous that it's been done. I personally think the 'blurb spoilers', for, I think it was T&S, made TAQ a lot less enjoyable to read, and I rate it as one of the worst Warriors book I've read. This was primarily because you knew their journey would fail, thanks to the T&S spoilers, and it very much ruined the surprise factor, which became non-existent. Perhaps I don't mind seeing the blurb for Hawkwing's, but there's a possibility that SkyClan could have done something in TAQ, and The Shattered Sky heavily insinuates SkyClan invovlement. Although, I may not be able to resist 😛 , but I’ll want to avoid the TSS blurb. And I know I will, but I really hope I don't run across the spoilers for it, especially since it's being released like in 9 MONTHS TIME. Is there even a release date for it yet? 😛 And I don't really get people's fascination with spoilers anyway. Even if it's just the blurb, it still will say basically what's happened in T&S. This is starting to make me hate Harper Collins. 😛

    Plus, I'm happy that a DotC character, Thunder, is getting a novella, but I wish it was someone other than Thunder as he's already had a main story PoV. However, I suppose I can't complain on that one & it'll be interesting to see what happens considering he's still being called Thunder. But that also annoys me as it's not showing what happens after MVF. Oh well, I've still got my FanFic… Rise of the Clans #1: Scarlet Monsoon <<< Can't beat some cheap advertising. 😛

    • I just read the blurb for Shattered Sky, and WHYYYY!?! Now I know a bunch of things that I’m not supposed to know until I finish Thunder and Shadow. I completely agree with you, Eagleclaw, this shouldn’t be out there until after Thunder and Shadow’s release.

      • That confirms to me that I shouldn’t read it. I’m tempted to, but it will kill the enjoyment I get from reading T&S. Therefore, I’m gonna try my best. Just over 2 months to go. 😛 Personally, I hope no one posts anything about the blurb on the Tavern. If it’s spoiler-related it should be kept on the discussion pages.

    • Tbh I’m not as upset about this blurb as I was about TaS because it has less spoilers. Hawkwing’s Journey I was so happy about since I’ve wanted (spoiler) SkyClan to go to the lake ever since I read Firestar’s Quest, about three years ago (AND I told Icepaw that my guess was for SkyClan to come back in AVOS and I was right 😉 ). Alderpaw has a beautiful medicine cat name though.

      • Tbh though, similar to Ravenpaw’s Farewell, the title of Hawkwing’s Journey very much makes it obvious what’s happening. I mean you could say well, it’s obvious that SkyClan will be in TSS, which I think they will be. However, I’d rather not read the blurb for it as it will basically cover whatever happened in T&S. But yeah, I’m literally so so so hyped for that SE. It should be awesome. And since the DotC books, it’s definitely by far the most I’ve looked forward to a new release. 😀 POSSIBLE SPOILER SPECULATION FOR NAME>>> I’ve actually seen Alderpaw’s full name, and I dislike it. It’s too generic for me, tbh. I wouldn’t be surprised if Harper Collins or the editors decided on it. 😛

    • I understand completely! The way I overcome spoilers is by asking myself, how did that happen though? But I read the T&S blurb before reading TAQ and was a bit disappointed. I still loved it though. However, the quest technically wasn’t a fail. They did find the kits!

      • It’s hard for me to overcome spoilers. 😛 I think if you where it ends, it’s difficult to enjoy the journey to get there. Plus, you may know what characters are going to die etc. I’d still rate the journey a fail. But you’re right. At least they got the kits. 😛 It should be interesting to see how they will influence the plot! 😀

  • I don’t know whether or not people will agree with me on this, but, if anyone wants to talk about the blurbs for the post-T&S books, I would very much appreciate it, as I think other non-spoiler looking peeps would, if the discussion is done on the discussion pages, where it is easier to avoid for anti-spoiler people like myself. 😛

    And I don’t want to be controversial or anything, but perhaps nothing about it could be put through moderation on the Tavern as an additional safeguard? I don’t want to block freedom of speech, but I’m sure there are other people who desperately want to avoid spoilers from the blurbs, especially the ones from TSS.
