This is the rp page for my rp (and Flareheart’s) Lurking Shadows!
Stoneteller stood before the Cave of Pointed Stones.
“Be careful,” she heard one voice say.
Another said, “Danger lies down the wrong path.”
What’s happening to my tribe?
Falcon layed next to Lilly, licking the top of her head, the queen screeched. Blah blah blah, kits born, blah blah blah.
He watched as his mates eyes grew dull, he looked down at the four tiny sqirrming body’s next to her.
” There names shall be, Hawk that’s Swoops down on Innocent Kit,” he mewed putting his tail on the brown, silver, and black she-cats back,” Lightning that Strikes Young Willow, Fox that Dances like Flame and (ummmmmmmm guys idk the other ones name 🥲)”
“They’re beautiful,” Stoneteller murmured.
” Thank you,” he dipped his head. He stepped out of the way so Stoneteller could tell them the positions.
( I remember the last ones name it’s Lily that Crys in Pain)
Leaf calmly walked over to Stoneteller, Falcon, and Lilly. “Their perfect,” she purred. She watched carefully to see how Stoneteller would decide which positions to give the kits.
“Hmmm, Lily, Eagle, and Fox look like Cave-guards,” Stoneteller said, “And I think that Lightning shall be a Prey-hunter.”
Falcon dipped his head, ” What will we do with Lilly,” he turned his eyes back to his mates unmoving body.
Stoneteller look at him, “I think we could give her poppy seeds for the pain.
Leaf popped up from where she was sitting, “I can go get them!” She offered excitedly.
“Sure,” she said.
Leaf darted away and returned a few moments later with a couple of small, black seeds. “Here you go!” She carefully set them on a small leaf and scooted it toward Lilly.
Lilly nodded in thanks and ate the Poppy seeds
“Thank you, Leaf,” she said, “Lilly.”
Stoneteller prodded Lilly.
“Eat this,” she said.
(Ignore my last comment plz)
Lilly didn’t budge, she was still like a rock
“Eat,” she ordered.
Lilly still didn’t move
Leaf felt confused, “Lily? These herbs will help you. You-you just have to eat them.” She felt a shudder for down her spine. “Stoneteller, what’s wrong?!” She cried, fear in her eyes. “Why isn’t she listening?”
~Jaeda~
The rouge dragged the flacon she had caught to her den. she kept a lookout for any Tribe cat, she didn’t want to stir up trouble. especially after she attempted to kill one of them. her eyes grew when (insert name here) came over the hill
Prowl stalked over to her.
“Hey, Jaeda,” she said, “Why that look in your eyes?”
~Jaeda~
She looked away embarrassed.
“Nothing” she meowed.
“Just thought you were someone else,” she said then griped her falcon and started dragging it back to her nest again.
She rolled her eyes.
“What, mistake me for a tribe cat?”
~Jaeda~
“You can’t blame me for being wary” she muttered under her breath. she flicked her ears towards the Falcon.
“Help me take that home and We can share it” she offered.
Prowl flicked her ears, then grabbed one side of the falcon.
~Jaeda~
She picked the Falcon up and started walking towards her den.
Hazel shivered, sure, she loved New lives when they could talk, walk, and not be wet and slimy but when it came to wet, slimy things she couldn’t handle it. The smell of blood made her want to puke as she screwed her eyes shut and scrunched up her nose.
Moon bounded up to Hazel.
“Look!” She exclaimed, “I caught my first hawk!”
Star rolled her eyes, “More like I saved you from it.”
She forced herself to open her eyes, “Great catch Moon! Star, I would say to be nicer but, you probably did at first. And then of course you both epicly took it down.” She said, grinning.
Moon had the bigger smile ever, and Star shined as brightly as her name (Star that Shines Brightly).
“Thanks!” The two said.
“No need to thank a cat who simply says the truth, catching hawks is hard. Especially with only two cats!”
Stoneteller shook her head.
“I- i don’t know,” she admitted.
“Eat this, now,” she ordered Lilly.
She pushed the poppy seeds towards her.
“Leaf, get thyme just in case,” she muttered/
Lilly wasn’t moving, her flank was still
Leaf darted away, fear making her fur spike up, and grabbed the thyme. Stoneteller doesn’t know. Stoneteller doesn’t know! she inwardly cried, Why doesn’t Stoneteller know?! She shooed the thoughts away when she reached Lily. Without a word, she dropped the thyme at Stoneteller’s paws. “Something’s different,” she whispered to herself. “Something’s wrong.” She frantically looked back and forth between Stoneteller and Lily.
Wisteria appeared behind a rock with a hare. She gasped seeing the cats gathered around Lilly, her mate and their kits.
“Is Lilly OK?” Wisteria said, worried about the queen who wasn’t moving.
“Are the kits OK?” she asked panicking waiting anxiously for answers.
“The kits are okay…but Lilly,” Falcon mewed, “We don’t know what’s wrong,”
Leaf took a step back, looking up at Stoneteller with wide, scared eyes.
Stoneteller noticed Leaf8s panicked eyes.
“Leaf,” she said, “Eat this.”
She knew Leaf needed the thyme to calm down.
Then, she prodded Lilly again, trying to wake her up.
(Wait is she dead?)
(Yez)
She still didn’t move
Bee, another queen who wasn’t due for her kits for three more moons, watched Lily with concern in her eyes. Now, the yellow tabby could scent a faint smell of death from Lily.
She shuddered she’s dead..
Bee thought in horror what if the same thing happens to me, when I have my kits?
Stoneteller dipped her head in sorrow.
“I’m-I’m sorry,” she said. “I can’t heal her..”
(also u can still play her as a tofs cat)
(Okay thx!!)
(Okay thx!!)
“Whays wrong with her?” He asked
“She’s- dead,” Stoneteller dipped her head in sorrow, “I’m so sorry.”
Bee managed to haul herself over to Falcon,¨I´m so sorry,¨ the tabby said sorrowfully,¨Lily was an amazing cat.¨
(Hi Mothpaw, Please remember that I have to Accept your characters before you are allowed to rp. Bee is accepted now, but for next time, Please don’t RP with a character before Drizz’s or my ok. Please make sure you read the Rp comment on the Rp page fully because it’s explained there that I have to accept characters. Thanks)
(I´ll make sure to remember next time.)
(Thanks)
“Thanks Bee,” he mewed his eyes were hollow and empty,”Who will take care of the kits?” He asked, trying to get his mind off Lilly.
-Morning Leaf of Amber Flame-
Morning stretched, her eyes gleaming. She looked over to where the senior Prey-hunters were eating.
“Can I go hunting, please?” She called. The cats nodded, but no-one came to join her. She tilted her head. Prey-hunters weren’t allowed to go hunting without a cave-guard, especially not to-be’s! She looked around for Snow that Falls in Rhythm. The muscular tom had often joint her on hunting expeditions. There he was, eating with another to-be. What did I expect? I hardly talk to him. Morning thought. She decided to try to speak to one of the cave-guards who stood by the entrance to the cave. She looked around and gasped. A kit-mother, Lily, was lying still, her four kits by her side. She padded over to Lily’s made, Falcon.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, tear-stricken. She gently pushed her nose into Lily’s flank, shaking her head.
-Snow that Falls in Rhythm-
Snow drew away from his conversation. He saw Lily, lying there, and he was just sitting there doing nothing. He watched Morning mourn for her, and padded over, and touched his tail to her flank.
He then addressed Falcon regretfully. “Lily was a great warrior, and I feel your pain. But look at her four kits. They will need you to watch over her. She lives on in them.” Although Snow was only a to-be, he wanted to remind Falcon that Lily wouldn’t be forgotten. He addressed Morning. “Sometimes it feels like the world stops, but it keeps moving, and so must we. Lily’s death doesn’t mean that the Tribe don’t need feeding.”
“What are you getting at?”
Snow smiled. “want to come hunting with me?”
“Can we come?” Star and Moon bounded up to them.
“After all, you’ll need some pros!” Moon said jokingly.
The two twins had just caught an eagle, and were up for some more hunting.
-Morning Leaf of Amber Flame-
Morning was surprised; it was unlike anyone to join her. She nodded enthusiastically and the four of them set out for the territory.
-Snow that Falls in Rhythm-
Snow meowed “yes” crossly. Morning was just as capable as Star and Moon, even though she was a To-be!
“Thanks!” Moon said.
Yay! I can finally hunt with other to-be’s!
“Thanks both of you,” Falcon mewed
Leaf stumbled back, eyes glued on Lily’s body. She suddenly spun and ran into the cave, heading straight for the herb storage. She started frantically listing the different herbs and their cures, trying not to give in to the panic closing in around her. She started muttering to herself, but abruptly stopped when the realization hit her. Lily was dead. There was nothing she could do. Nothing.
She felt a darkness swirl around her, attempting to suffocate Leaf. She quickly say down and started breathing heavily.
“Leaf,” Stoneteller said, “it’s okay.”
Leaf spun, “No. It’s not.” She snapped. “Lily is dead. Her kits don’t have anyone to care for them. Falcon just lost his mate. Nothing is ok.” She sighed and hung her head, guilt pricking at her fur. “Sorry, Stoneteller,” she mumbled. “I’m just upset there was nothing I could do.” She risked a glance up at Stoneteller, slightly fearful of what her reaction would be.
“Sometimes… sometimes it happens,” she said softly, “And there’s nothing we can do.”
She looked down at her white paws, “But that doesn’t mean we give up because one cat died. We’ll all miss Lilly, but… what’s the point in sulking if she wouldn’t want us to?”
Leaf flicked her tail, “I understand.” She meowed quietly. She turned away and started nosing through the herbs, looking for one in particular.
“What are you looking for?” Stoneteller asked
Leaf pulled out thyme and borage. “I think Falcon might need some after today… And whoever takes care of the kits will need borage to help most likely.” She meowed quietly, eyes glued to the ground. It’s the least I can do, she thought sadly.
“Good idea,” she murmered, and let Leaf pass her.
-Dancer-
Dancer grabbed a mouse. Food for the journey, he thought, as he set out hunting.
He sniffed the air. Tribe scent was clear. maybe I should avoid this part Dancer thought, but he shrugged when he saw a mouse, and bent into a crouch, waiting for an eagle.
-Morning Leaf of Amber Flame-
Morning noticed that an eagle was circling something, and saw a mouse on the ground. As the eagle dived she pounced, but crashed into a small tom, which the eagle managed to grip.
-Snow that Falls in Rhythm-
The young tom shrieked as the eagle took off again. Snow bent, about to jump, but Morning already had taken off and crashed into the eagle, bringing it back down.
-Dancer-
As Dancer fell, he twisted his paw. He met the tribe she-cat in the eye and smiled.
“Keep the eagle…” she whispered.
Dancer limped away, thinking about the pretty cat.
-Snow that Falls in Rhythm-
Snow’s eyes clouded. He saw the way the rouge looked at Morning, like he honestly thought Morning would like him. And then he snatched the eagle and ran off with it; like he hadn’t just had to be saved from it. The rouge seemed to think it was a tribe cat.
“Who was that?” Moon asked.
Star bounded after her, an eagle in her jaws.
“Great catch,” Star noted.
“I have no idea, some rouge.” Morning shruged
Star growled, “We should go drive the rouge away! It’s… risky.”
She shivered as she remembered the old nursery horror stories about Crescent Moon that Fades to Black. Crescent had destroyed every flower and killed every rouge he could find, and the land and rouges sweared revenge on TOSS.
-Snow that falls in rhythm-
Morning meowed hesitantly. “Dancer wasn’t doing anything wrong…”
Snow sighed. “Rouges are dangerous,” he muttered, although he really just didn’t want Morning getting close to enemies.
“Well, it’s gone now,” Morning purred.
-Morning leaf of amber flame-
Morning sniffed the air, and caught a whiff of a semi-familiar scent. “I’m going to try for some prey behind that rock okay?” She mewed.
“Be careful, okay?” Morning nodded to Snow.
She quickly ducked behind the rocks. “Dancer? You’re on our territory…” Dancer was eating the bird he caught when he crashed into her.
“I can’t smell any scent markers, sorry.” Dancer apologised, sincerely.
“No problem,”
Dancer hid the remains of the bird under a rock. “Hey, wanna hunt?”
Morning blushed. “Of course!” She purred, forgetting about the rest of the patrol.
Prowl padded up to the two.
“What is going on?” she snapped to Dancer, “You can’t hunt with a rat, or be on their territory without permission from the rouges.”
-Dancer-
“We weren’t hunting together! We were just hunting… near each other.” Dancer blushed. He wished that the tribe could get along with his group. He ran away to where his group camped.
Prowl lashed her tail.
“Stay away from my group,” she snarled, “We can barely hunt because of what one of you did!”
Then, she stalked off.
-Dancer-
Dancer sighed. “It’s too late for peace now…” He rolled his eyes before stalking back to camp. He grabbed a bit of prey, and dragged it too a corner where he ate alone.
Prowl padded over to him.
“Listen. You either be on our side, the reasonable side after what they did or you can get lost!” Prowl snapped
