Hi everyone. I read the doc from Chapter 1 again, since I was forgetting some of the details, and I have a few questions about the events in the book and ADC in general. Hope no one minds me asking these. *Sorry if I have too many.
1. Why was Wolfpaw unconscious and soaked in blood when Hazelpaw and the others found her in Chapter 5?
2. Why does Springstar hate Wolfpaw so much?
3. I’m a little confused about which side the non-writers and writers that haven’t written a chapter in a while are on. I was wondering if any of you guys can explain this?

1. (To Wolfpaw and Lionpaw) I found a site that would be handy in keeping track of all we need to know about the project. It’s editable by multiple people, too. So I wanted to ask you two if it could be used in the project. /lh
2. I’m so sorry for asking, but will it be possible if I can post a new slides form? I was overdramatic when I wrote it, and I think my personality has undergone some changes since then. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience and if I’m being selfish by saying this. I don’t want to bring any toxic energy to this page. /sincere

(Happy late leap day to you as well!) I would need Wolfpaw and Lionpaw to answer to confirm, but I’m under the impression that the slides and og doc links showed both their real names?
For us to ever post/work with the slides again, it would have to be with blog emails.

2. I think she needs someone to pin everything on, and Wolfpaw just so happens to be named “Wolf” like the prophecy. Could be wrong, though
3. I think mostly everyone is on the side of rebellion, there may be a few more still on Springi’s side but most everyone has sided with us

5. Didn’t know that was a thing. Sounds cool, though!

7. I’m pretty sure we all did at the same time, but maybe it took awhile for us to find each other – correct me if this is wrong

9. A helper, I believe! If you want a bigger role in the story, just ask one of the writers, but I think we’re all just, at the moment, building the rebellion together

I’m not requesting that I have a bigger role in the book, it’s just that I was confused with how my character was turning out because I alternated between being Springstar’s ally and Springstar’s enemy.

Hi Shaded! A portion of these are likely up to interpretation. As I’m not the author of these segements, I unfortunately don’t have any answers besides my deductions! Part of having such a massive collab is that there’s going to be a few loose ends, I guess (:
2. Why does Springstar hate Wolfpaw so much? Wolfpaw was hostile and mistrustful to her during training, causing Springstar to be put on edge. (I think) she effectively hates all of us, but Wolfpaw most of all because of how much they’ve stood up to her!

6. How did Springstar lead wolves to the camp in Chapter 18? My guess is she made a ruckus or used prey blood. It’s implied the wolves were starving and bloodthirsty, so it probably didn’t take too much to bring them to the cats. Maybe I’ll add something related to this in my chapter!
8. Is it leaf-bare in the story? I don’t thiink so? Time is pretty nebulous in the collab, but my understanding is that the story has taken place over a couple months and that leaf-bare has yet to arrive. Are there any passages that indicate leafbare?
9. What kind of role is ‘Shadedpaw’ playing in the story? It seems a bit unclear. Reiterating what I said above (: Due to the constant shift in writers, the course characters takes tends to flow, and there’s not one strict path. I think something I appreciated following the ‘drama’ was to just go with the flow, and not have a linear development path. All that being said, Shadedpaw seems to be Wolfpaw’s central ally, and one of the cats most frequently standing up to Springstar (be that in more passive ways like talking to rebels, helping out Wolfpaw, or speaking up).
And I think it’s a totally great idea to post a new slides form if you want your personality protrayed differently. Honestly, we should all update the slides sometime – maybe all of us with blog emails could collab with that?
Not Shadedpaw, but I’d totally be open to a blog email collab so we can redo the slides! Sounds like fun 🙂
I agree it’s a great idea, maybe get permission from Wolfpaw and Lionpaw first, though.
I apologise if I seemed pushy or impatient, I understand that there are always going to be some unresolved parts.
For question 6, I personally think adding a hint of how Springstar led the wolves to the camp would be a great idea.
And for 9, sorry again if I seemed demanding of a strict path. I was a little confused because the portrayal of ‘Shadedpaw’ were a bit mismatched.
I think I still need permission from Wolfpaw and Lionpaw if I can post a new form for the slides, but thank you for your support. ^^

Well, looking back, Springstar hates a lot of cats XD. I do think that she hates Wolfpaw, though, for their rebellious spirit. The other answers also had good explanations as well.

Non-writers are mostly neutral or leaning towards Springshine, which is used to be able to tell the story from multiple viewpoints.

Sadly, the animation file was lost around late September 2023.

This is a possible but non-canon explaination: I do feel like she scented cats on the wind at the old camp, so she led rats first, thinking it would kill them. When they survived (and thrived) Springstar began to train wolves, joined the Clan, and then unleashed them.

So far, it looks like they’re a supporting character in the cast, but you could always write yourself into a role!

I have some ideas for any chapters I might write in the future, but I’m currently busy with school, too. And being a slow and inexperienced writer, I might take well over 3 weeks, even with some ideas.

The events in Chapter 23 were very original, and they really took me by surprise. I felt like the strained situation was real, like I’m spectating while the chapter flows on right in front of me when I was reading it. Very impressive work. ^^

To be quite honest, I wrote this late at night a few days ago and forgot what my ideas were 😛 I remember that I wanted to have an internal struggle where Shadeleap wants to keep the peace seeing as shes the mediator, but she can’t deny that her Clan is falling apart, maybe there’s something where she stumbles upon a meeting of the rebels and decides to join them. I know I haven’t been around here for a while and I’m kind of disconnected from everything going on so if other people have any other ideas I would love to add them in 🙂

No one has volunteered yet, but I think it would be good if someone in Eagleflight’s hero group or someone in the camp should write, since Chapter 23 had a big surprise at the end. To make readers curious about what will happen to Dusklight’s group, I guess.
Hello, everyone! I’ve been caught up with my schoolwork, testing is coming soon, so I’ve been buried in my work. Don’t worry, though! I’ve been able to find some time to work on the graphic novel prologue. I’m also starting a NEW project, so I’ve been wrapped up with that. [Don’t worry, though! ADC will still be my top priority.] Sadly, I can only work on anything for less than 1/2 of the week, which is another reason why I’ve been quiet lately.
If anyone is willing to write the next chapter, they can comment down here to be added to the wheel.

Hey, everyone! It’s Lionpaw here. Sorry that I’ve been quiet lately-it’s tricky sharing an account where I can only check/post on weekends! I wanted to give an update about the A Destiny Calling graphic novel! Wolfpaw will be pulling the site off of Comicfury because Securely/GoGuardian rampages. It will be moved to a google doc some time in the future!
Secondly, huge tests are coming up for the next 2-3 weeks, but my school is off monday so that’ll be helpful. Also, my mental state has taken a sour turn, so please send hugs.

My place was in the path of totality for the solar eclipse, and it was so cool!
Woah that’s awesome :00 My science class went outside for most of the block to see the eclipse even though only 80ish-percent of the sun was covered haha 😛
Ahhh that’s awesome!! I was at 95% totality, but quite a few of my family members managed to see the full thing!
I’m so glad I was able to watch most of it- totally agree that it was an epic experience!
That must have been so amazing! I’ve never seen a full solar eclipse before, and I couldn’t see the eclipse last week because I live on the other side of the world. :p
