  • Poolstorm turned to flee, but her eyes locked with mapleclouds. Her eyes….. “they’re blue.” She thought. “Just like mine….”

    • Blossomclaw gasped up into the open air, leading Gorserunner up beside her. Dusktail bounded out after them, helping Quickwind out.
“Gorserunner, can you hear me? You need help…” she murmured, licking his ears.
She turned towards Quickwind and Fawnheart, “Take Gorserunner back at camp to Ivysnow.” She mewed, glancing worriedly at the tom.
‘I have to find Poolstorm…’ She thought as she bounded away.

  • Quickwind nodded and picked up the tom by the scruff. Just then Bramblepaw came in through the entrance. “Bramble! What are you doing here!?” He meowed through fur. The brown shecat replied, “I came to help you! I wasn’t gonna leave you here to die. Here, let me help you with Gorserunner.”
Picking gorserunner up carefully, the two cats slowly but surely got him to thunderclan camp. Bramblepaw gently let him down and meowed, “Ivysnow! Ivysnow we found gorserunner!”

  • “Here.” Poolstorm pulled away from dusktail and touched her tail tipo her back. “Thistlestar is calling the second retreat. Let’s go!” She started to run back with the clan, checking to see if she was following.

    • Blossomclaw ran after her friend, her heart thundering in her chest. She slipped back into camp, turning back to look at Poolstorm, “I’m going to see Gorserunner…do you want to come?”

  • “Of course!” Poolstorm cried.

Ivysnow got some more herbs ready. “If there are any uninjured apprentices, I need some more herbs.” She thought ruefully.

      • Fawnheart stood behind/next to Blossomclaw, making sure no other cat entered the den. She knew how close Blossomclaw and Gorserunner were and didn’t want to have anything disturb them
(I was gone for a week and so much happened! BTW sorry I was gone like right after I got back. I didn’t know I would have to be in active again. Glad you still found the tunnel to get out 😁)

    • Gorserunner felt all the twitching an hillusionations disappear, his mouth foamed and he slowly lost sanity, he had been infected by the acid in the underground river, he was now savage like most Shadowclan cats. He is the first victim and you have choices to keep this from spreading, you can dispose of him (If you know what I mean) Send him to Shadowclan, or try to remove the acid from his soul, to do this you must find someone with a close relationship to him to try and speak him out of the trans.

      • Sweetspark saw Gorserunner, and seeing the foam around his mouth, curled her tail around Shimmerkit, not wanting her or Cricketkit to get near him. She thought to herself, We need to kill him or kick him out! My kits would never be safe if he was around! They’d get sick, and I’ll bet they’d die!
Shimmerkit peeked from her mother’s tail and her eyes widened in fear. She saw what her mother was shielding her from. Gorserunner. She whimpered and asked Sweetspark, “What if he goes into the nursery, or touches Cricketkit? Would she be ok?” The older brown and white tabby shook her head in a way that told Shimmerkit that the queen wasn’t sure.
Cricketkit looked over to her limp leg and over to all of the herbs and tilted her head to Ivysnow to ask, Will I have to be a medicine cat apprentice?

  • Ivysnow shook her head. “He is in the hands of starclan now.”

Poolstorm shook blossomclaw fiercely. “Dusktail told me about this. It worked with maplecloud. Loved ones can talk the crazed sickness out of cats. You have to try it!”

    • Blossomclaw hesitated, her heart pierced with anxiety. ‘What if he doesn’t make it?!’ She thought, shifting her pelt and padding into the medicine den.
Gorserunner was in a nest, his eyes closed and his fur matted.
“Oh Gorserunner…” Blossomclaw’s voice choked as she buried her face in his pelt.

  • Bramblepaw watched from outside the medicine den with fawnheart. it’s too late… I should’ve been more careful. she thought. Sh e turned to see Sweetspark and her kits, and padded over. “You should go to the nursery. Cricketkit needs to rest. I’m sure it’ll be fine.”

    • (I think that Cricketkit’s in the medicine den 😛)
Sweetspark loosened up a bit. “I just want them to be safe,” she whispered.
Shimmerkit peeked up and mewed, “O-ok…”

      • (Oop 😛 )
The brown shecat mewed, “I know. But it’ll be alright.”
Curled her tail around and led them to the nursery. She looked back at her mentor, who was watching Gorserunner with Fawnheart.

    • Quickwind growled. “Maybe we should kill you before your brain-rotting mousebrain-making disease spreads! This isn’t your problem, acornsplash! Just leave if you arent going to help.” He spat, fur bristling.

      • “It is a problem for the clan!” Acornsplash growled. “Great starclan, anyone can see that! Gorserunner is a danger to us all!” Poolstorm walked up, bristling

  • Gorserunner shook his jaws, all he saw were blurs and he suddenly felt the urge to attack them, a bit of his normal self was left that held him back, but it won’t be stable for long, so make a choice quickly before he is doomed and will not be able to be kept from attacking loved clanmates.

    • Blossomclaw saw Gorserunner shift, his jaws moving. ‘Does he hear me?’ Resting her tail on his pelt, her amber eyes went wide. She heard meowing outside and saw Acornsplash arguing with Quicksand and Poolstorm.
‘What is he saying now?’ She thought, bristling.

She felt Gorserunner shift again and looked back at him. “You’re alright, Gorserunner. You’re back at camp. Ivysnow…Ivysnow is helping you, alright? You’re going to make it.” Tears bubbled from her eyes.
(Idk what to say, I’m the worst!😛)

  • Quickwind’s pelt burned. Why was Acornsplash being so rabbit-brained? “Why dont you go in there and kill him yourself , since you think he needs to die so much?” He growled. The sandy tom walked past him, nudging his shoulder along the way. He walked out and leaned on the wall of the camp.

    • “Quickwind! Don’t say that! He could take you seriously!” Fawnheart gasped as she spoke out for the first time.

Tigerfur listened to his sister. I can’t believe my sister is talking to a senior warrior like that! Sure, killing Gurserunner may be a mousebrained idea, but we were taught to respect cats of higher positions. He growled and narrowed his eyes.

  • “Gorserunner…” Poolstorm eyes filled with tears. “Do you remember when you were by the oak tree with blossomclaw? When she saved you? Please Gorserunner… blossomclaw and I need you…”

Ryecloud huddled in the back of the nursery, crying. “What can we do!?”

Acornsplash stalked into thistlestars den. “What are we going to do about Gorserunner?” He demanded. “He’s a danger to our clan now…”

    • Blossomclaw buried her face in his fur. “I need you Gorserunner, please wake up…” She hoarsely whispered, tears falling down her cheek.
The tortoiseshell looked up at Ivysnow. “How fatal are his wounds?”

      • Ivysnow didn’t meet her eyes. L serious, but I’ve never seen anything like the crazed sickness…”

    • Sweetspark went over to Ryecloud. “What we queens can do is keep our kits away from him and make sure they don’t get infected.” She called out, “Shimmerkit!”
Shimmerkit heard her mother call her name and she bounded to the back of the nursery. She felt her mother licking her head and calmed down a little.
Cricketkit walked out of the medicine den a little as best as she could, still not sure how to walk with her front limp. She was worried yet curious about Gorserunner.

    • Tigerfur bounded after Acornsplash and slid into the leader’s den behind him. Tigerfur sat down and flicked his ears in anticipation.

  • Dandelionpaw –

Cats blocked her way as Dandelionpaw tried to push closer to see Gorserunner to talk to him. He was one of the only cats who had ever supported her in the clan and actually believed that she could be a warrior someday and wouldn’t end up as a medicine cat. Over the noise of the crowd she yelled out towards him
“Gorserunner ! It’s me ! Dandelionpaw ! Oh please don’t die, the clan needs you, I need you !”
