~Everlight and Redleaf~
Everlight watched the clan as the day passed. So much had happened in so little time… with Greystar dead and Thistlestar the new leader, what would become of ThunderClan? Especially with a deputy as inexperienced as Poolstorm! The cat hadn’t even mentored an apprentice, and was younger than Everlight. How could something like this have happened?
Redleaf noticed her mate’s distress. “I’m sure everything will turn out fine,” she purred, hoping she sounded convincing. “It’s not for us to question the leader’s decision.”
“But no cat should be deputy before they’ve had an apprentice,” Everlight protested. “Poolstorm is a great cat, but she’s far from ready to be the deputy.”
“Shh,” Redleaf hissed. “Don’t let Thistlestar hear to questioning her! We’ll get into even more trouble then we’re already in!” She sighed. “I’m going to go hunting. I’ll see if any warrior wants to join me.” She stood and walked away toward the camp entrance.
Everlight watched Redleaf go, sad that they had to argue about this. Redleaf had always been loyal, not to any leader specifically, but to ThunderClan, and she’d always looked up to Thistlestar. He only hoped she could see that the leader’s decisions might not always mean what’s best for the clan, no matter what the code said. He sighed and went to the medicine den to see if Ivysnow needed help with anything.
[Anyone who wants to interact with Redleaf and join her hunting patrol can do so]
[Whoever rps as Ivysnow please have Everlight enter the medicine den or approach her]
Poolstorm had heard the whispers about her. “I’ll need advice from all of you.” She meowed. She padded into the leaders den. “What do you need?” Poolstorm asked.
Ivysnow looked up as everlight padded in. “What do you need?” She called absently.
Ivysnow turned around. “What do you need everlight?” She said absently.
~Everlight~
“I was just wondering if you needed help with anything,” he replied.
Quickwind looked around the clearing and into the woods. “Maybe we can see if Bloasomclaw and Gorserunner have had any luck?” Bramblepaw nodded as they picked up their prey and headed in the direction the other half n of the patrol went.
Gorserunner took a deep breath and just decided to go for it, “I- think you’re really pretty and you have a great personality… I can’t be normal around you, I always get nervous…” Gorserunner waited frightfully for Blossomclaw to say something.
Thistlestar grinned at Poolstorm “You’ll learn to block out their whispers, look we’ll get you an apprentice as soon as there is one. But we’re not here for that now.” Thistlestorm growled with satisfaction as she thought how to present her plans. “We will build our strength, build the clan, and as soon as that’s done, no doubt Skyclan will join us, and then we can cancel out Shadowclan. Thunderclan will rule!” Her eyes narrowed to slices and she graveled the ground with her claws.
Blossomclaw paused, her amber and green eyes widening in surprise. “G-Gorserunner, I don’t know what to say….” She broke off, “I mean I think you’re really great too. I just never thought….I like you too, Gorserunner.” She stammered.
Relieved and confused at the same time Gorserunner grabbed a blossom and put it beside Blossomclaw’s ear. “I don’t know what to say now… If I like you and you like me what does that… mean?”
(He’s very dull😛)
Bramblepaw padded alongside her mentor in the direction that the other half of the patrol went. She walked up to a bush and flicked her tail. “Stop.”
Quickwind looked confused. “Why? I only smell Blossomclaw and Gorserunner. ”
“That’s why we need to stop. I see them talking to each other. I don’t want to come over and stomp on their conversation.” Her eyes flickered.
The Sandy tom wasn’t as cautious. “Do you think it’s so important?”
Bramblepaw just rolled her eyes. “Here, let’s just wait with our prey and then maybe they’ll finish talking and join us.”
Ivysnow- a mischievous glint lit ivysnows eyes. “Take your pick. You can sort the comfrey and the tansy, or you can squeeze these mice to get mouse bile. Ever since poolstorm and blossomclaw became warriors, the elders have been even more grumpy than usual!” She stepped back to reveal a piles of mangled leaves and dead mice.
Poolstorm- poolstorm worked the ground anxiously, but she didn’t show that she was confused and afraid. “And how do you suggest we do that?” She inquired, in what she hoped was the right tone of voice. She already had concerns about dusktail, and blossomclaw has acted strange after a border patrol on the skyclan border. (do I sense a love triangle?) But poolstorm would do anything to save thunderclan from its current peril.
“You mean cancel out Shadowclan and their savageness? Why that’s easy, but I will tell you when the time comes, you may leave now.” Thistlestar flicked her tail, then called to Poolstorm, “Apprentices will be ready tomorrow!”
Blossomclaw smiled at him. “We’ll talk later. We should probably hunt.” She mewed.
“Yes we should probably do that.” he stumbled. Gorserunner opened his mouth and scented mice, so he crouched and stalked around the area, until another smell came over his glands, “Skyclan!” he stomped close to the border, “Come out I know you’re there!” Three Skyclan Warriors stepped out, one golden tom, another brown spotted tom, and the last a white she-cat.
Quickwind kept staring at the she-cat, waiting for her to say when they were done talking. “Okay, i think they finished.” She said.
“Finally!” he meowed. He slowly walked out into the clearing, filled with blossoms and Blossomclaws. “Have you guys caught anything yet?” He asked softly.
Blossomclaw stood beside Gorserunner, staring at the SkyClan cats. She noticed the golden tom, her heart leaping. “What are you doing here?” She challenged, but tried to make her voice sound solemn.
Bramblepaw and Quickwind dropped their prey and ran to their clanmates side. Quickwind fluffed up his fur. “Stealjng prey? Secret invasion?” He growled.
