Poolstorm padded over to Ivysnow, and dropped a young rabbit next to her, then went over to gorserunner and blossomclaw.
Gorserunner looked up at Poolstorm “How’s deputy-ship?” he smiled.

Blossomclaw looked up from taking a bite of the sparrow & smiled at her friend. “Oh hey! Want to share with us?”
Poolcloud sat down next to her friends. “I like deputyship…” she began awkwardly. “But I don’t want to be responsible if the whole clan dies. Do you mind helping with decisions? I understand if you don’t.”
“Ah, I don’t mind, i’ll help when I can just call my name, in the mean time you two can finish the sparrow.” he winked and nodded to Quickwind, then turned around and padded up to him.
Quickwind gobbled up his shrew fairly quickly and slowly stepped close to where Poolstorm and Blossomclaw were. His fur itched. He wanted to know if there was something he xould keep his mind on other than skyclan. He sat awkwardly watchinf the three speak.
Padding up to Quickwind, he smiled “Hiya Quickwind, long time no meow, what are your thoughts on everything going on?” Gorserunner thought it felt good to be mingling with his clan-mates.
“I dont really know. I feel like thunderclan cant trust anyone else.” He sighed. “I just need to talk.. if you dont mind.” He asked. He needed to get somethings off his chest.
“Go ahead, i’m always here for you.” Gorseruner smiled and curled his tail around his paws
Blossomclaw looked at Poolstorm. “What do you think about SkyClan?” She shrugged, not knowing what to talk about.
“I believe them.” Poolstorm answered. Everything the skyclan cats talked about is true. And what clan lies about injured kits?”
(Switching over so my text on my phkne doesnt get weird) Quickwind looked around. He could see Blossomclaw and Poolstorm closeby, and he didnt want anyone to overhear. “Can we go somewhere else? Like outside? Less… cats?”
“Of course” Gorserunner stood up and stretched then headed out of camp, “How about we go to the great oak?”
Blossomclaw let out a sigh. “I hope Thistlestar agrees to give them the herbs.” She murmured, taking one last bite out of the sparrow, “I’m full, would you like the rest?”
Sure. Poolstorm said. “But wake me up when skyclan comes back.”
~Everlight and Redleaf~
Everlight rested in the shade under a fern. “I wonder if SkyClan is telling the truth. They could be working with one of the other clans, trying to weaken us by taking out our medicine cat…”
“We have to trust that Thistlestar will make the right decision,” Redleaf told him. “She’s the leader for a reason.”
“There were many cats she could’ve chosen for deputy who are much more experienced-”
“Would you shut up about Poolstorm? She’s going to make a great deputy, just like anyone Thistlestar would’ve chosen!” Redleaf practically shouted. “What do you have against them, anyway? Everything you say these days is something Thistlestar or Poolstorm should’ve done different! They’re both doing the best they can!” With that, Redleaf stormed off to where Gorserunner, Blossomclaw, Quickwind, and Poolstorm were eating. Everlight shook his head with a sigh.
“You don’t get it,” he murmured. “ThunderClan needs to be strong. Thistlestar is a good leader, yes, but we need a strong deputy too, and Poolstorm just isn’t ready.”

Redleaf padded over to where Poolstorm, Gorserunner, Blossomclaw, and Quickwind were eating. “Mind if I join you?” She asked. “My mate’s being a bit of a jerk right now.”
Poolstorm smiled. “Of course!” She let everyone eat a few bites in silence, than blurted “I’m sorry I’m not ready.”
Blossomclaw looked up & nodded. “Sure thing, have as much as you want. Poolstorm, can I lead a hunting patrol?” She asked her friend with a glimmer in her eyes.
Sure! Poolstorm said. “I’ll go with you and redleaf, would you like to come too?”
“Thats fine.” He replied. He walked up to gorserunner and to the great oak.
As they arrived Gorserunner made himself comfortable and then smiled warmly at Quickwind, “What is it? you’ve seemed a ‘but down lately”
Blossomclaw smiled. “That sounds good. Where do you guys want to hunt?” She asked, glancing at the camp entrance to see that Quickwind & Gorserunner has disappeared.
‘I’ll have to ask Gorserunner after…’ She thought with a shrug.
Poolstorm thought for a second, then asked, how about sun falls?”
(Sun falls is a made up waterfall downriver. As well as sunlight 24/7 on sunny days, it is abundant in shrews, water voles, and fish.)
Blossomclaw nodded. “Sounds great.” And led them way into the forest.
Poolstorm followed.
Blossomclaw tasted the air, licking up the scent of a water vole & dropped to the ground, seeing it scuttle across the grass.
Curling her tail, she sprang after it, pinning it down & biting its throat. Jumping to her paws, she padded back towards Poolstorm. “Smell anything?”
Poolstorm tasted the air. “There’s a shrew in those reeds.” she said, pointing her tail towards the clump. I’ll chase it out to you!
Blossomclaw sat & nodded, watching her friend catch the shrew. Suddenly, Blossomclaw caught the scent of a badger & collapsed, fear making her body freeze & shut down.
