What stage did you go through as a child (like interests or a certain way of behaving) that makes you cringe/feel annoyed to this day?

I went through a stage between 6-8ish where I was the devil incarnate. I never listened to my mum, I ran around wild, and made my siblings come along with me. Some of these escapades include covering me and my siblings in house paint which then had to be scrubbed off, leaving our skin raw, throwing pebbles at someone’s house, and numerous other things my brain has probably blocked out.

My second annoying stage was when I was in primary/elementary school and it was considered bad to be feminine. Like there was this whole thing of “are you a tomboy or are you a girly girl?” and all the girls (myself included) would say tomboy. I used to LOVE pink in primary (and it’s my favourite colour now <33) and my teacher would be like “if your favourite colour is red/orange/yellow/green/blue/purple/pink/black/every colour that has ever existed, then come up and sign your name off on the roll”, which we had on a screen. And I would be the only person to come up when she said pink (and once I had fallen over and had mud all down the back of my pants, and I still went up alone when she said pink instead of picking a more popular colour 😭), so after a bit I just selected blue as my favourite colour since that was my friend’s favourite colour. Then I went around trying to be a tomboy and saying that I hated pink and all that stuff sbnjsjd and now I love pink and all that “girly” stuff again which is nice 😛 🩷🩷🩷 but the stage of pretending like I hated femininity and being a pick me just because it was viewed as bad or icky to be girly makes me so mad.
