Do you think Nightcloud gets too much hate?
I do! She’s definitely one of the Warriors characters I defend the most.
AlderPuddle ShipperI almost finished Crowfeather’s Trial, and yes I do think she gets a lot of hate. I like her character so much more after reading Crowfeather’s Trial, and I really like the book overall! 😀
Maybe. I first pictured her as a very calm and friendly cat, not a jealous one! I do agree the hate she gets is sometimes out of the control, but she’s kinda manipulative! I don’t say she’s that bad, but jealousy is not a form of kindness or perfection!

Maybe but I definitely wouldn’t say she’s innocent or didn’t contribute to the issues in her relationship too. Crowfeather obviously isn’t innocent either but she’s someone who is controlling. It’s seen as early as The Sight where she insists on taking Breezepelt back to camp on her own and doesn’t let Crowfeather help. She’s not the worst in POT but gets so much worse upon learning that Crowfeather has kits he didn’t even know about. I draw the line with her digging her claws into Crowfeather and turning physical with him. She also coddles Breezepelt too much and thusly, helps excuse his actions pre-Crowfeather’s Trial. She’s fine in that book but her attitude toward Leafpool and partly Crowfeather is uncalled for in OotS.
Yeah, Nightcloud is definitely not entirely innocent. But she’s not completely evil like some people make her out to be. She made some pretty bad choices, but ended up redeeming herself in the end. That’s what matters. I think Crowfeather’s Trial did a good job of showing that she is a good cat.
🎵Keep scraping by🎵I think Crowfeather’s Trial tries to show that she’s changed since then but something I’ve always found odd about the book is that it places so much of the blame on Crowfeather like he’s the only one at fault. It’s good to hold him accountable but Nightcloud got quite a bit of a pass. Not as much as Breezepelt’s actions but she still doesn’t get held as accountable. I love her in that book but it does leave some of her actions unaddressed and instead places them on Crowfeather.
I wonder if a novella or super edition about Breezepelt would answer any unanswered questions about the whole Crow x Night thing.
I love Nightcloud in that book, too! 😀 She really is an interesting character.
🎵Keep scraping by🎵Yeah no I do absolutely adore what she was turned into in Crowfeather’s Trial personality wise. I love that she’s friends with Crowfeather and the outcome of their relationship. I just find it harder (just like Breezepelt) to forget their actions in OotS and how Crowfeather was the only one who really atoned or had to. She and him got excused because Crowfeather took most of the blame. I just wish that they were written more consistently and that the Nightcloud from POT was the one we had all the way through. She wasn’t perfect then but she lines up better with the one in Crowfeather’s Trial.
I’d love for her or Breezepelt to get a novella to flesh things out a bit more though because of that contrast between themselves in OotS and CT.
A Nightcloud novella or super edition would be AMAZING. But since it’d be entirely from her POV, what if it just ended up putting blame on Crowfeather again, since Nightcloud viewed HIM as the guilty one?
🎵Keep scraping by🎵I have a feeling that’s how the situation would be played regardless since we already have that consistently happening and wouldn’t be better with Breezepelt who is also pretty biased. He probably wouldn’t hold her accountable. That’s why my ideal book would just be a novella for Nightcloud that explains her shift from POT, has her also take accountability, and maybe even her apologizing more to Leafpool that doesn’t involve Breezepelt’s life in danger. She just feels bad for blaming her and does something about it.
That would be a really good novella.

Nightcloud. Well, she does get a lot of hate. First of all, she DOESN’T like Crowfeather. I mean they’re mates, but what I think is that she did love Crowfeather, but hated him when they had Breezepelt. She also hated her son. She hated them, they hated her. And Leafpool is jealous bc Nightcloud is “mates” with Crowfeather. Any other hate, I don’t know of bc I only read up to The Last Hope of Omen Of The Stars.

For me, the earliest I’ve ever gone on BlogClan is probably before 6:00 in the morning if I really couldn’t sleep and got up at like 5 something in the morning.
The latest was in January when my family was traveling. We were at a hotel for the night, and we usually change up our routine a little while traveling. I was on BlogClan at 9 PM or something.

Jayfeather is, in my opinion, the best character in Warriors. He is really mean and sarcastic and a jerk, and has some really good burns sometimes, and he is not at all sweet! (Unless you count his bonus scene in Lost Stars).
There are not many characters in Warriors who are like him. 🙂
I really like him for his personality, and how he hates the world.
I kind of relate to him sometimes as well, with his personality and things like that.
