I have a lot <3 I wouldn't say I "strongly" defend them, but I would defend Spottedleaf, Stormfur, Hollyleaf, Darkstripe, and Brambleclaw! 😀 I love Stormfur for his relaxing, chill perspective and his sweet relationship with Brook, and I love Hollyleaf because I can totally relate to her stubborn faithfulness to the rules, and I think that her lore is just super cool in general! And her death? While it was sad, I think it was a satisfying ending to her dynamic life, and it was super sweet! <333
Why Darkstripe? 😮
*begins rant* Darkstripe is just a super interesting kitty in general. His motive (to impress the *pop*ular kitties and to have an amazing reputation for being *pop*ular) is one of the few that stays consistent and has consistent effects throughout the entire series, and unlike most antagonists, he never gets a chance to show his bad side in a dramatic scene, nor did he really fulfill or fail in his dreams, and this really made him a character with a chock full of potential. His personality, desires, and stand-out character traits like murderyness or coldness (or, rather, his lack of them) make him a kitty that I think deserves a chance to tell his own side of the story, rather than hate for not having the chance at all. I will say that Darkstripe belongs in the Dark Forest; however, his unique, non-murdery personality and lack of sinister intelligence or buffness make him a super interesting kitty for a villain, and I’d like to see a graphic novel for him in the future… @Kate Cary YA THERE? PLZ READ MA COMMENT. PLZ.

I don’t usually mind when the character has no personality and I actually like some villains so 3 ig but one thing that drives me crazy is when the character is manipulative and the pov falls for it so the reader falls for it (like how some ppl ship SpottedXThistle)
I guess 1 or 2. I dislike Frostpaw because of this.
It think it’s probably when the character has no personality, but what irritates me more is when the character’s personality suddenly changes with no explanation, like with Berrynose.
Mainly 2, since some characters that are evil, like Mapleshade or something can be really interesting. 😀

#1. Most characters who “have no personality” make you look deeper into their character and that’s honestly fun to just sit down, analyze the books, and pick out their character-show moments. And if people like/dislike a character, you can debate with them, and that’s fun. But when someone’s just plain evil (ie. Darktail and Scourge), they’re always stuck to that same list of “evil, bloodthirsty, coldhearted, vicious, ambitious, murderous, dangerous, dark-hearted, cold-blooded, power-hungry, battle-hungry, buff, etc.” and that’s just awkward and cliche. It was forgivable in the first arc, since Warriors was originally meant to be a classic forest story, but in the sixth arc? You gotta be kidding me.

Scourge was beaten up once and went full on kill mode. I dislike scourge because he is a pathetic excuse to be a villain and is the most horribly developed villain in the entire series .

Personally, he’s a very cliche kind of character, being this bloodthirsty, vicious, big bad villain who threatens to destroy the whole forest and everyone freaks out before he’s murdered by a single blow from the amazing brave hero. To be honest tho, the first arc is a classic forest story, so I can’t really blame anyone, and in the end, he’s just one of those people who comes and goes with the failure of making a mark in the Clans on their shoulders.

Ahaha- “it’s complicated”? xD The thing about Scourge (and a lot of other Warriors characters) is that while their depictions in the fandom are very good, their canon selves just fall short. I feel like his motivation for being a tiny evil overlord is very, very weak and overall he’s just very boring to read about. I liked his emo manga as an eight year old but it has me laughing now. HOWEVER as a veteran animal jam fan I’ve gotta love his silly little spiked collar…
I’m neutral on him. He’s got a touching backstory and a good motive, and I understand why he did what he did, but he shouldn’t have done what he did.

I would choose Ivypool because she’s super strong and has a ton of great battle training from the Dark Forest, and I’d also choose Leafpool because she’s a medicine cat that can heal me but she was also a warrior so she knows how to fight
Bluestar and Ivypool!
My initial thought was to pick Lionblaze and Ivypool, who stand out as the best fighters. However, even they wouldn’t be able to fend off the others in physical fight. No matter who I pick, the odds are still 2:7. This isn’t a problem that can be solved by brute strength.
Of the others, I can eliminate Leafpool, Goosefeather, and Dovewing because I don’t think they’d be very useful. Leafpool can’t fight, and would be too nice to come up with some devious way to kill the others. The same goes for Dovewing, she’s too nice. Goosefeather’s too unpredictable.
Lionblaze, while strong, isn’t very smart, so I’m not picking him either.
That leaves Leafstar, Tawnypelt, Bluestar, Brambleclaw, and Ivypool as my choices…
Ivypool is a clear choice. She’s got a viscous streak, and training in the Dark Forest has taught her espionage, sabotage, and a whole bunch of moves that only Brambleclaw and Lionblaze will recognize.
Of the leaders, I wouldn’t want to take more than one. They’re all used to leading, and might have trouble working together with another leader. However, it would be good to have one, since they’re all well-versed in managing battle logistics. Unfortunately, this knocks Tawny out of the running, though I wouldn’t have minded her on my team
Brambleclaw is obviously the worst choice, and the best to leave behind because he’ll probably cause conflict with the others, which is good for me.
Leafstar, while cool, has had the least experience with battle since Skyclan spent a long time in isolation.
Bluestar has had a lot of experience with battles and strategizing, and isn’t afraid to make tough choices. So, she’s my second pick!
Ivypool and Leafstar. Ivypool was specifically trained to fight to the death and she’s the one of the most vicious fighters the Clans had ever seen. Bluestar has nine lives, but she has only ever been trained in ThunderClan skills and doesn’t know how to swim, climb, or run quickly. Lionblaze is strong but as shown in Dovewing’s Silence, he has not fully adapted to life without his powers, and he’s too confident about his talents. Goosefeather is mad but too mad and has never been trained properly with warrior skills, same thing with Leafpool. Tawnypelt has only been trained to fight well in pure darkness, and she doesn’t know how to manuever through undergrowth, run like the wind, swim, climb or even fight in the open. Like Bluestar and Lionblaze, she’s basically trapped in her ShadowClan techniques, and when she’s exposed to a new habitat as shown in the journey to the ocean, she’s as confused as heck. Leafstar has been trained to fight against cliffs as steep as heck and trees as high as heck, and she’s noted to be especially powerful. She’s also one of the most intelligent and strategic fighters the Clans have ever known, and also, she has a fresh stack of seven other lives if she dies.

Gosh, this is super tough… Tawnypelt and Leafpool.
Tawnypelt because she’s super expirienced, and Leafpool because she got them healing skills.
I choose Ivypool because of her fighting skills and courage. I would also choose Bluestar because she’s experienced and smart
I would choose Goosefeather because he can see the future and help me avoid potential death. I would also choose Ivypool since she is very good at fighting and sneaking around with anyone seeing.
I wouldn’t choose lionblaze since he lost is power aswell as Dovewing
Brambleclaw doesn’t have anything special that would help me.
And Leafpool is only helpful if I get hurt.
Bluestar I would choose if I didn’t choose Ivypool and Goosefeather.
Tawnypelt and Leafstar wouldn’t help much.

Ivypool is a yes, she is strong and trained in deadly techniques that the other cats wouldn’t know how to deal with.
Lionblaze is a maybe, I’m not sure whether you mean full strength Lionblaze or post-power Lionblaze. He never holds back, which would be useful, but he’s also an idiot, which wouldn’t be.
Dovewing is a no, she isn’t very strong and I don’t think her power would be very useful in a straight-on fight.
Goosefeather is a no, I don’t think a mad prophet would be very useful in a fight.
Brambleclaw is a yes, he is very strong (despite being a jerk)
Leafpool is a maybe, I mean sure, she could heal me, but she isn’t very strong nor bloodthirsty.
Bluestar is a maybe, pre-insanity Bluestar would be an instant yes, but crazy Bluestar would just lay there and whine about starclan abandoning her.
Tawnypelt would be a no, I guess she’s strong, but that’s about all she’s got.
Leafstar is a yes, she is a strong and capable leader with 9 lives going for her, and she has experienced a lot in her life.
All in all, my choice would be Ivypool and Leafstar. Yeah, Brambleclaw is tough, but I don’t want a blockhead on my team.
