it’s a relationship alright
It’s not my favourite mentor/apprentice relationship, but it’s good
It had potential, but in the end it sort of felt underdeveloped. The two didn’t interact in the same way as normal mentors an and apprentices (hunting, battle training, border patrols), so I never really felt they had a strong mentor-apprentice relationship.

What is your opinion on the Warriors book Firestar’s Quest?

It has strong nostalgic value to me. It was the first warriors book I ever read, back in 2019! I remember being amazed by clan culture, and my brain trying to figure out what ‘fresh-kill’ was. 😛
Now, I think it’s still a pretty good book. It bridged the gap between TPB and TNP nicely. I also like the introduction to SkyClan, and meeting characters like Leafstar, Echosong, and Sharpclaw. It’s one of the few travelling books I actually like!

It’s my favorite Firestar ship
It’s fine, not the best ship.
It’s a fine ship, and they both were good parents to Squirrel and Leaf. There’s nothing exceptionally special about it, and it sort of follows the enemies to lovers trope.
I was disappointed, though, how Sandstorm lost her spark and sort of just became an add-on to Firestar once they were together. I don’t have really strong options on it, I guess.
I love it! I know some people say it was slow and bland, but to me it feels natural. And I LIKE how it was uneventful. It wasn’t super scandalous, or forbidden, and one of them wasn’t dead or reincarnated, and it wasn’t abusive/toxic. It was just… simple and cute. And I love all the scenes and little mentions throughout the books where they’ll just mention them spending time together, or their little conversations that make them look like an old married couple. I LIVE for that!
